The objective of this study is to examine the application effect of the Objective Structured Clinical Examination(OSCE)model in the comprehensive practical training course for higher vocational nursing.Based on the evaluation dimensions of core nursing competencies,the OSCE framework was constructed with the clinical nursing work process as the main focus and supported by a nursing case database.A questionnaire survey revealed that over 80%of students in the experimental group were satisfied with the application of OSCE in the nursing comprehensive practical training course,and more than 90%believed that OSCE assessment enhanced their theoretical knowledge and practical skills.The OSCE was also considered helpful in transforming learned knowledge and skills into professional competencies. 展开更多

Training of music teachers is particularly important in the field of music theory,as the comprehensive musician training is specific for Russian music education, where besides playing a musicinstrument he must possess knowledge from the music theory field, make sense of music pieces, and understandand analyze them. The conservatism in teaching traditions preservation began interfering with changing priorities ofeducation. As a result, stagnation in the field of musical pedagogy was outlined in the early XXI century. This hasaffected teaching music and theoretical subjects, which became heavy, boring, and unpopular due to conservatismin teaching methods and focus on students' motivation. As professional regards, there has been an imbalance in theability to play the instrument and the inability to navigate in the music literature. Background:Oral health staff have close contact with patients in the process of diagnosis and treatment,and it is inevitable for them to come into contact with patients’secretions.Therefore,oral health staff are at greater risk of infectious diseases in their daily work,and their psychological health is also greatly challenged.Objective:To study the effect and significance of comprehensive training in infection prevention and control on the psychological health of oral health staff.Methods:We selected 400 oral health staff from a tertiary stomatological hospital in Guangzhou,China in this study.The respondents were randomly divided into an intervention group and a control group.After the first round of investigation,the intervention group received comprehensive training in prevention and control of infection for three months,while the control group received no intervention.Results:The comprehensive training in infection prevention and control improved the respondents’psychological health and job satisfaction.Further strengthening infection prevention and control training for oral health staff will increase their self-confidence,improve their mental health,and increase their job satisfaction.Conclusion:For oral health staff,it is particularly important to formulate an effective and operable preventive and control training program and then implement it in a standardized manner. 展开更多

Despite that language learning strategy(LLS) has been heatedly discussed since its emergence in 1975, its conceptualization, categorization and strategy training models are still in dispute. However, what commonly revealed by most studies is that there is a positive correlation between the use of language learning strategy and language learners' performance. This paper applies Dornyei's classification, known as cognitive strategies, metacognitive strategies, social strategies and affective strategies. By reviewing previous studies on the application of metacognitive strategy in English as a second language(ESL) reading comprehension, plenty of useful implications for reading pedagogy are suggested. The COVID-19 outbreak severely affected formal face-to-face classroom teaching and learning.ICT-based online education and training can be a useful measure during the pandemic.In the Pakistani educational context,the use of ICT-based online training is generally sporadic and often unavailable,especially for developing English-language instructors’listening comprehension skills.The major factors affecting availability include insufficient IT resources and infrastructure,a lack of proper online training for speech and listening,instructors with inadequate academic backgrounds,and an unfavorable environment for ICT-based training for listening comprehension.This study evaluated the effectiveness of ICT-based training for developing secondary-level English-language instructors’listening comprehension skills.To this end,collaborative online training was undertaken using random sampling.Specifically,60 private-school instructors in Chakwal District,Pakistan,were randomly selected to receive online-listening training sessions using English dialogs.The experimental group achieved significant scores in the posttest analysis.Specifically,there were substantial improvements in the participants’listening skills via online training.Given the unavailability of face-to-face learning during COVID-19,this study recommends using ICT-based online training to enhance listening comprehension skills.Education policymakers should revise curricula based on online teaching methods and modules. 展开更多

This study investigated the effects of a CLSTS (Computer-Assisted Listening Strategy Training Software) program on the development of students' ability to use four target listening strategies to enhance their listening comprehension. This study covered an experimental group and a control group. The participants were Grade 10 Thai EFL (English as a Foreign Language) students in a Thai high school in Bangkok, Thailand. Experimental group performance was compared to that of a control group on the five research instruments. Regarding the effect of the CLSTS on the students' ability to use the target listening strategies to enhance their listening comprehension, it was found that the CLSTS was significantly effective. Listening is an important part in the second language learning process,so how to improve students’ listening comprehension especially for non-English majors becomes a main concern to teachers.For this purpose,a targeted listening strategy training was conducted in listening classes.Test results manifest that sixty participants get more or less improvement in their listening comprehension after receiving a strategy training every two hours over ten weeks.Low and middle achievers make relatively more progress than high-achievers.Interviews also indicate that high achievers use top-down strategies more than low achievers in listening process,while low achievers employ more bottom-up strategies than high achievers.This indicates that effective strategy training in listening class could enhance students’ listening performance.It is hoped that this study could give some insights to the future listening teaching. 展开更多

This study aimed at investigating the effect of a proposed EFL (English as a Foreign Language) training program on the teachers' reading practices in Mafraq. This program was developed by the researcher according to the ninth-grade EFL teachers' needs. The participants of the study were 20 ninth-grade females EFL teachers who represented the experimental and control groups (10 teachers in each group). They were randomly chosen from 10 schools in the Northwestern Badia Directorate of Education. To achieve the purposes of the study, the researcher designed a needs analysis questionnaire, a training program, a pre and post observation checklist, and a pre and post received knowledge test for teachers. Proper statistical analysis was used to analyze the results of the research questions. The results of the study showed that teachers were in need to be trained on 20 reading comprehension practices to be able to teach reading comprehension effectively. Besides, there were statistically significant differences at the level of (a = 0.05) between the means scores of the ninth-grade teachers' performance of the control and experimental groups on the post observation checklist and on the post received knowledge test in favor of the experimental group due to the training program. 展开更多

The measurement accuracy of speed and distance in high speed train directly affects the control precision and driving efficiency of train control system. To improve the capability of train self control, a combined speed measurement and positioning method based on speed sensor and radar which is assisted by global positioning system(GPS) is proposed to improve the accuracy of measurement and reduce the dependence on the ground equipment. In consideration of the fact that the filtering precision of Kalman filter will decrease when the statistical characteristics are changing, this paper uses fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to evaluate the sub filter, and information distribution coefficients are dynamically adjusted according to filtering reliability, which can improve the fusion accuracy and fault tolerance of the system. The sub filter is required to carry on the covariance shaping adaptive filtering when it is in the suboptimal state. The adjustment factor of error covariance is obtained according to the minimized cost function, which can improve the matching degree between the measured residual variance and the system recursive residual. The simulation results show that the improved filter algorithm can track the changes of the system effectively, enhance the filtering accuracy significantly, and improve the measurement accuracies of train speed and distance. 展开更多
