Computer-Aided Translation Technology and Translation Teaching

With the development of computer technology, Computer-Aided Translation(CAT) is widely used in the translation process, thus increasing the efficiency of the entire translation work. The purpose of this article is to analyze the importance of introducing CAT technology into translation teaching and explore some ways of integrating CAT technology with translation teaching, so as to improve the quality of the translators and the translation work.

Computer-aided Translation Technology and Its Applications

This article begins with a brief analysis of the significance of translation technology in different spheres of modern life,followed by a distinction between machine translation(MT)and computer-aided translation(CAT).It then describes some translation resources and tools and examines the negative and positive aspects of computer-aided translations.Finally it comes to a conclusion that it would be greatly efficient and productive for the translators to acquire the new skills in the translation workplace.

Translational Techniques as a Teaching Tool Using Culture-Specific Units： The Case of French-English Proverbs

Given the fact that cultures are a distinct way of identifying the mores and customs of a people, culture-specific units such as proverbs could serve as veritable teaching tools to pass on otherwise difficult language concepts to students, especially in the context of acquiring a foreign language. Proverbs can actually be viewed as succinct sayings that convey semantically-laden units expressing a people＇s worldview. In this paper, an attempt is made to illustrate the effectiveness of using culture-specific units like French proverbs to teach challenging grammatical features to English-speaking students in a French class. For example, grammatical aspects like verb conjugation French syntax, etc., can be effectively tackled. Translational techniques could then serve as pedagogical tools to bring about a better grasp of the foreign language being acquired, and in the process, exposure to a larger world culture would be achieved

On Terminology Consistency in English Translations of Zhuangyi Texts

Terminology consistency is important in scientific translation including Zhuangyi translation.However,terminology inconsistency frequently occurs in the translation of Zhuangyi texts.In this article,terminology inconsistency in translations of Zhuangyi texts and its underlying causes are analyzed,assurance of terminology consistency aided by computer is discussed,and term consistency in Zhuangyi ballads is explored.

Internet-aided Translation for College Students

The internet,a global network of computers,has brought about radical changes in the way people all around the world are working and communication.It is also significantly affecting the world of translation today,not only in the way our student handle the words orders but also in how they search for specific linguistic and encyclopedic information.Exploitation of the potentialities of Internet as an electric translation tool offers a numbers of advantages in helping our college students getting ready for their future translation-concerned roles and jobs.This paper describes not only the translation development under the information age background but also the updating and remarkable characteristics of our college translation education.The point of view that translation is also a matter of technology in the time of global information brings about the new subject of the relation between translation and internet as well as a more important role of internet-aided electric tools in translation education.

Advantages and Limitations of Translation Memory in Translation Teaching

With the rapid development of translation technology, great changes have taken place in translation teaching. The traditional translation teaching can not meet the needs of the market, and the market is in urgent need of translators who are proficient in information technology. Therefore, translation memory is gradually applied to translation teaching. Translation teaching has been liberated by translation memory to some extent. And translation memory makes translation teaching avoid a lot of repeated knowledge and processes of translation. It is no doubt that translation memory has some limitations. As a result, the advantages and limitations of translation memory in translation teaching are discussed.

As a cutting-edge trend of translating,Computer-aided translation(CAT) plays a significant role in the field.Among kinds of CAT softwares,Trados and Déjà Vu became the mainstream of the translating market since they were available in the market.By discussing the environments of two CAT softwares in this paper,translators'efficiency would be improved to some degree in the future.

Applying CBR to Machine Tool Product Configuration Design Oriented to Customer Requirements

Product customization is a trend in the current market-oriented manufacturing environment. However, deduction from customer requirements to design results and evaluation of design alternatives are still heavily reliant on the designer＇s experience and knowledge. To solve the problem of fuzziness and uncertainty of customer requirements in product configuration, an analysis method based on the grey rough model is presented. The customer requirements can be converted into technical characteristics effectively. In addition, an optimization decision model for product planning is established to help the enterprises select the key technical characteristics under the constraints of cost and time to serve the customer to maximal satisfaction. A new case retrieval approach that combines the self-organizing map and fuzzy similarity priority ratio method is proposed in case-based design. The self-organizing map can reduce the retrieval range and increase the retrieval efficiency, and the fuzzy similarity priority ratio method can evaluate the similarity of cases comprehensively. To ensure that the final case has the based on grey correlation analysis is proposed to evaluate similar cases best overall performance, an evaluation method of similar cases to select the most suitable case. Furthermore, a computer-aided system is developed using MATLAB GUI to assist the product configuration design. The actual example and result on an ETC series machine tool product show that the proposed method is effective, rapid and accurate in the process of product configuration. The proposed methodology provides a detailed instruction for the product configuration design oriented to customer requirements.

An Open CAM System for Dentistry on the Basis of China-made 5-axis Simultaneous Contouring CNC Machine Tool and Industrial CAM Software

China-made 5-axis simultaneous contouring CNC machine tool and domestically developed industrial computer-aided manufacture （CAM） technology were used for full crown fabrication and measurement of crown accuracy, with an attempt to establish an open CAM system for dental processing and to promote the introduction of domestic dental computer-aided design （CAD）/CAM system. Commercially available scanning equipment was used to make a basic digital tooth model after preparation of crown, and CAD software that comes with the scanning device was employed to design the crown by using domestic industrial CAM software to process the crown data in order to generate a solid model for machining purpose, and then China-made 5-axis simultaneous contouring CNC machine tool was used to complete machining of the whole crown and the internal accuracy of the crown internal was measured by using 3D-MicroCT. The results showed that China-made 5-axis simultaneous contouring CNC machine tool in combination with domestic industrial CAM technology can be used for crown making and the crown was well positioned in die. The internal accuracy was successfully measured by using 3D-MicroCT. It is concluded that an open CAM system for den-tistry on the basis of China-made 5-axis simultaneous contouring CNC machine tool and domestic industrial CAM software has been established, and development of the system will promote the introduction of domestically-produced dental CAD/CAM system.

数字人文构建译者身份探析——从教学中的翻译工具观谈起

基于知识翻译学及学界关于翻译的“工具论”和“还原论”的批评性分析,该文探讨了翻译的知识生产在技术理性视域下遭遇的“二律背反”,指出在翻译技术时代,数字素养是译者身份认同来源之一,探讨了在教学中引入作为方法的数字人文以提高译者数字素养。该文基于阐释揭示传统翻译教育中对“翻译仅作为工具”的隐藏假设,倡导在知识翻译学中引入对关系主义知识观的探讨,促进量化地探讨跨文化知识生产与传播的可能性。该文呼吁将知识翻译学和数字人文体用结合,创造英语教学中培养学生数字素养的契机,达到以翻译人文为体,关照跨文化翻译知识生产实际之用。

Cardiac resident macrophages: Spatiotemporal distribution, development, physiological functions, and their translational potential on cardiac diseases

Cardiac resident macrophages (CRMs) are the main population of cardiac immune cells. The role of these cells in regeneration, functional remodeling, and repair after cardiac injury is always the focus of research. However, in recent years, their dynamic changes and contributions in physiological states have a significant attention. CRMs have specific phenotypes and functions in different cardiac chambers or locations of the heart and at different stages. They further show specific differentiation and development processes. The present review will summarize the new progress about the spatiotemporal distribution, potential developmental regulation, and their roles in cardiac development and aging as well as the translational potential of CRMs on cardiac diseases. Of course, the research tools for CRMs, their respective advantages and disadvantages, and key issues on CRMs will further be discussed.

21世纪以来我国乡村教师队伍建设政策文本分析

针对21世纪以来中共中央国务院等国家有关部门颁发的48份乡村教师队伍建设政策文件开展了政策文本分析研究。从政策工具类型、政策要素、政策时间三个维度,构建了政策文本的三维分析结构框架,在了解各维度情况基础上进行交叉维度分析,探究政策文本内容与各维度之间的联系。运用NVivo14软件进行质性文本分析,总结出当前乡村教师队伍建设政策存在的不足:“政策工具运用失衡,过度依赖权威型政策”“政策要素分布不平衡,政策工具配置显现差异”以及“政策制定未能紧跟时代步伐,缺乏一定的前瞻性”。由此提出“均衡调配政策工具,优化政策使用频次与范围”“深化政策工具与要素融合,增进政策组合协同性”“加快政策更新步伐,确保时代适应性与前瞻性”等对策与建议。

健康蓝色空间设计:将接触感知蓝色空间的健康效益转化为设计实践的方法论框架

【目的】水是人类赖以生存和发展的关键要素。以水为核心的蓝色空间一直以来不断塑造着城市,提供了多样化的生态系统服务。越来越多的证据表明接触感知蓝色空间能够为城市居民带来显著的健康效益。因此,在响应健康城市建设及可持续发展目标的背景下,有必要探讨将接触感知蓝色空间产生的健康效益纳入空间设计实践的可能性。【方法】基于对核心文献的检索和筛选,系统梳理接触感知蓝色空间以促进人类健康的主要路径,提出将健康证据转译为设计实践的方法论框架。【结果】基于3种蓝色空间接触感知类型,归纳出4条联系蓝色空间接触感知和公共健康的主要路径:1)促进体力活动;2)降低有害暴露;3)提供心理效益;4)鼓励社会交往。提出了一个将健康证据转译为设计知识的四步方法论框架并结合已有证据和案例进行说明:1)收集主要健康证据;2)提炼关键设计概念;3)划分核心设计要素;4)转译设计原则、空间模式、评估方法。【结论】根据“分析—综合—评估”设计范式,探讨了从健康证据转化出的设计知识在设计迭代中的应用潜力,反思了方法论框架的双向互动优势,指出实践能够作为启发设计知识和提供健康证据的工具。

在线术语库评价标准研究

随着网络技术发展,人们需要对在线术语库的质量进行评价。本项研究旨在对各类在线术语库进行归类,继而对术语库的质量进行评价,从而建立科学的评价体系。文章研究了在当前在线术语库不断涌现的情况下,如何客观有效地评价术语库和建立评价标准体系。采用文献法与分类法,分析了国内外关于术语库方面的文献,对一些术语库实例进行了分类研究。结果表明分类法能够对术语库进行归类、描述与评价,帮助分辨与确认不同类型的术语库资源,促进专业领域的交流。

通过显微图像特征抽取获得微操作目标纵向信息

工作于生物显微镜下的微操作机器人系统 ,是完成对生物细胞显微操作的专用操作系统 .由于各种原因 ,常规的反馈定位控制难以实现 .系统中惟一可以利用的信息是由 CCD摄像机获得的显微平面图像 ,目标的纵向信息难以获得 .本文提出了一种基于系列显微图像频率特性比较的分析方法 ,完成对微操作系统中各目标体的纵向位置信息的获取 ,为本系统的标定工作和位置控制的实现奠定了基础 .

关于异化翻译的再思考

针对国内部分学者倡导异化翻译的现状,本文从语言哲学角度出发,提出消解翻译理论中归化与异化之间的二元对立,面向语言本身和翻译问题本身的观点;强调在翻译实践中须要综观各种要素,视具体情形动态地选择翻译策略。最后,文章提出翻译理论"工具说",即把各种中外译论比作功能不同的工具,依据其适用性进行选择,只有适合特定语境、使用得当的翻译方法才是最好的"工具"。
