Diagnostic efficacy of virtual organ computer-assisted analysis in measuring the volume ratio of subchorionic hematoma with serum progesterone

BACKGROUND Subchorionic hematoma(SCH)is a common complication in early pregnancy characterized by the accumulation of blood between the uterine wall and the chorionic membrane.SCH can lead to adverse pregnancy outcomes such as miscarriage,preterm birth,and other complications.Early detection and accurate assessment of SCH are crucial for appropriate management and improved pregnancy outcomes.AIM To evaluate the diagnostic efficacy of virtual organ computer-assisted analysis(VOCAL)in measuring the volume ratio of SCH to gestational sac(GS)combined with serum progesterone on early pregnancy outcomes in patients with SCH.METHODS A total of 153 patients with SCH in their first-trimester pregnancies between 6 and 11 wk were enrolled.All patients were followed up until a gestational age of 20 wk.The parameters of transvaginal two-dimensional ultrasound,including the circumference of SCH(Cs),surface area of SCH(Ss),circumference of GS(Cg),and surface area of GS(Sg),and the parameters of VOCAL with transvaginal three-dimensional ultrasound,including the three-dimensional volume of SCH(3DVs)and GS(3DVg),were recorded.The size of the SCH and its ratio to the GS size(Cs/Cg,Ss/Sg,3DVs/3DVg)were recorded and compared.RESULTS Compared with those in the normal pregnancy group,the adverse pregnancy group had higher Cs/Cg,Ss/Sg,and 3DVs/3DVg ratios(P<0.05).When 3DVs/3DVg was 0.220,the highest predictive performance predicted adverse pregnancy outcomes,resulting in an AUC of 0.767,and the sensitivity,specificity were 70.2%,75%respectively.VOCAL measuring 3DVs/3DVg combined with serum progesterone gave a diagnostic AUC of 0.824 for early pregnancy outcome in SCH patients,with a high sensitivity of 82.1%and a specificity of 72.1%,which showed a significant difference between AUC.CONCLUSION VOCAL-measured 3DVs/3DVg effectively quantifies the severity of SCH,while combined serum progesterone better predicts adverse pregnancy outcomes.

Privacy Protection in COVID Data Tracking: Textual Analysis of the Literature

The literary review presented in the following paper aims to analyze the tracking tools used in different countries during the period of the COVID-19 pandemic. Tracking apps that have been adopted in many countries to collect data in a homogeneous and immediate way have made up for the difficulty of collecting data and standardizing evaluation criteria. However, the regulation on the protection of personal data in the health sector and the adoption of the new General Data Protection Regulation in European countries has placed a strong limitation on their use. This has not been the case in non-European countries, where monitoring methodologies have become widespread. The textual analysis presented is based on co-occurrence and multiple correspondence analysis to show the contact tracing methods adopted in different countries in the pandemic period by relating them to the issue of privacy. It also analyzed the possibility of applying Blockchain technology in applications for tracking contagions from COVID-19 and managing health data to provide a high level of security and transparency, including through anonymization, thus increasing user trust in using the apps.

A comparison of conventional and computer-assisted semen analysis.（CRISMAS software） using samples from 166 young Danish men

The aim of the present study was to compare assessments of sperm concentration and sperm motility analysed by conventional semen analysis with those obtained by computer-assisted semen analysis （CASA） （Copenhagen Rigshospitalet Image House Sperm Motility Analysis System （CRISMAS） 4.6 software） using semen samples from 166 young Danish men. The CRISMAS software identifies sperm concentration and classifies spermatozoa into three motility categories. To enable comparison of the two methods, the four motility stages obtained by conventional semen analysis were, based on their velocity classifications, divided into three stages, comparable to the three CRISMAS motility categories： rapidly progressive （A）, slowly progressive （B） and non-progressive （C＋ D）. Differences between the two methods were large for all investigated parameters （P〈0.001）. CRISMAS overestimated sperm concentration and the proportion of rapidly progressive spermatozoa and, consequently, underestimated the percentages of slowly progressive and non-progressive spermatozoa, compared to the conventional method. To investigate whether results drifted according to time of semen analysis, results were pooled into quarters according to date of semen analysis. CRISMAS motility results appeared more stable over time compared to the conventional analysis; however, neither method showed any trends. Apparently, CRISMAS CASA results and results from the conventional method were not comparable with respect to sperm concentration and motility analysis. This needs to be accounted for in clinics using this software and in studies of determinants of these semen characteristics.

A Computer-Assisted Corpus Analysis （CACA） of Professional Discourse

This paper presents CACA （computer-assisted corpus analysis） conducted by using a compiled representative corpus. As a descriptive study, it explores the written communicative events produced by engineers in the petroleum industry in Malaysia. Language use is commonly analyzed for competence and performance. Competence is best described as the internalized linguistic knowledge as acquired by the learners while the notion of＂performance＂ is best defined as the external evidence of language competence. Therefore, the core of this paper is reflecting actual language use of the language learners in Malaysia. The data are drawn from a sample corpus compiled from the written communicative events in three companies of the petroleum industry in Malaysia. The methodology applied is fundamental as it tends to investigate the linguistic constitutions in the genre-specific corpus of the professional discourse produced. Computer-based syntactical studies are limited as they require hard work and long hours in order to key-in the data and then there is the complex analytic method of describing the findings. In contrast, this paper will demonstrate an uncomplicated method of analysis and also encourage the use of existing POS （part-of speech） tagging software available online.

Multimodal sentiment analysis for social media contents during public emergencies

Purpose:Nowadays,public opinions during public emergencies involve not only textual contents but also contain images.However,the existing works mainly focus on textual contents and they do not provide a satisfactory accuracy of sentiment analysis,lacking the combination of multimodal contents.In this paper,we propose to combine texts and images generated in the social media to perform sentiment analysis.Design/methodology/approach:We propose a Deep Multimodal Fusion Model(DMFM),which combines textual and visual sentiment analysis.We first train word2vec model on a large-scale public emergency corpus to obtain semantic-rich word vectors as the input of textual sentiment analysis.BiLSTM is employed to generate encoded textual embeddings.To fully excavate visual information from images,a modified pretrained VGG16-based sentiment analysis network is used with the best-performed fine-tuning strategy.A multimodal fusion method is implemented to fuse textual and visual embeddings completely,producing predicted labels.Findings:We performed extensive experiments on Weibo and Twitter public emergency datasets,to evaluate the performance of our proposed model.Experimental results demonstrate that the DMFM provides higher accuracy compared with baseline models.The introduction of images can boost the performance of sentiment analysis during public emergencies.Research limitations:In the future,we will test our model in a wider dataset.We will also consider a better way to learn the multimodal fusion information.Practical implications:We build an efficient multimodal sentiment analysis model for the social media contents during public emergencies.Originality/value:We consider the images posted by online users during public emergencies on social platforms.The proposed method can present a novel scope for sentiment analysis during public emergencies and provide the decision support for the government when formulating policies in public emergencies.

Tone of language,financial disclosure,and earnings management:a textual analysis of form 20-F

This study investigates the relationship between the tone of financial disclosures and managers’earnings management behavior using Form 20-F filings of Chinese firms listed in the U.S.during 2002–2014.The results show that the proportion of positive,uncertain,or modal words used in financial disclosures is positively related to corporate earnings management,implying that managers attempt to conceal earnings management behavior by manipulating the tone of their financial reports.In addition,robustness tests are conducted using an alternative proxy for earnings management that considers the effects of the financial crisis and separately examines the information and non-information technology industries.The results suggest that the tone used in financial disclosures has informative value,and textual analysis can be an effective tool for identifying earnings management.

A Discourse Analysis on Problem-Solution Pattern of Cosmetic Advertisements

Based on Winter's and Hoey's theories on discourse analysis, the Problem-Solution Pattern in cosmetic advertising from the perspective of text patterns and lexical signaling is discussed by analyzing thirty pieces of advertisements on cosmetic products. Findings suggest text patterns of cosmetic advertisements display in various forms and the components of Problem-Solution Pattern are signaled by lexical items as emotive vocabulary with positive or negative meanings and repetition of the brand names. Possible implications are offered for cosmetic advertising industry in writing effective advertisements both in English and Chinese.

绿色信贷指引对重污染企业环境信息披露的影响

在可持续发展战略背景下,国家和民众对环保问题的关注程度日益提高。国家从多方面出台环保政策规制企业行为,绿色信贷便是从银行金融业出发,通过限制金融机构对企业的放贷行为,促使企业经营更低碳环保。基于我国A股上市公司数据,使用双重差分法探究2012年颁布的《绿色信贷指引》对重污染企业环境信息披露的影响,使用词典法和文本分析法对企业年报中“管理层讨论与分析”模块环境信息叙述性披露进行了分析。研究结果显示,绿色信贷政策的颁布确实对重污染企业的环境信息披露有积极影响。具体表现在企业年报的“管理层讨论与分析”模块中有关环保的叙述性披露更多,更具体且更具有可读性;这一结论经过内生性检验、安慰剂检验后依然成立。还探究了该影响的中介效应,发现绿色信贷政策既能直接影响重污染企业环境信息披露,也能通过提高企业融资约束以及环境代理成本使企业加强环境信息披露。此外,企业的所有权性质会对该过程起到调节作用,国有重污染企业会披露更多、更具体的环境信息;股权集中度高的公司倾向披露更少的环境信息,但披露的可读性更高。最后基于以上结论,提出相应的对策建议。

基于文本分析法的城乡融合政策变迁研究——以重庆市为例

城乡融合发展是打破城乡二元体制、缩小城乡发展差距的必由之路,探究城乡融合政策变迁对于识别城乡融合发展趋势具有重要意义。在厘定城乡融合发展阶段基础上,建立“政策阶段—政策目标—政策工具”三维框架,以重庆市为例,对其2002—2022年的163份城乡融合政策进行文本编码和量化分析,从政策目标、政策工具两方面探究政策变迁趋势。研究发现:作为实现城乡融合发展的必要支撑,城乡融合政策根据政策环境变化而动态演进、创新发展,其变迁趋势为要素互补高级化、参与主体多元化、产业形式多样化、改革创新精准化。据此,从提升城乡要素互补水平、营造社会参与良好环境、推进农村产业融合发展、加大改革创新力度四个方面提出管理启示,以期为城乡融合发展提供参考与借鉴。

儒家文化词典的构建及运用——基于家族企业的实证检验

通过科学的构建体现儒家文化的词典及指标,进一步研究儒家文化这只无形的手对家族企业行为的影响。基于此,尝试通过自然语言处理技术,构建能够测量企业儒家文化的词典及指标,并提出儒家文化三环模型。研究发现:(1)儒家文化内涵以伦理观为核心,随着个体关系的延伸而动态发展,边界模糊且呈差序格局,大致分为三个维度。(2)儒家文化影响家族企业的慈善捐赠行为,即受儒家文化影响程度越深,其慈善捐赠越多。(3)高管海外背景对儒家文化与慈善捐赠的关系起正向调节作用。在进一步分析中发现,企业规模越大的家族企业,儒家文化对慈善捐赠的积极影响越明显。

初中数学教科书非文本元素特点及功能研究——以浙教版为例

非文本元素是数学教科书不可或缺的组成部分.但有研究者发现,部分NTEs存在偏装饰、功能单一、与数学联系不紧密的现象.以浙教版初中数学教材为例,通过比较NTEs的类别与功能分析其合理性.研究发现,浙教版八年级的NTEs数量最多,九年级平均密度最大.类别与功能上,NTEs在数学类的数量最多,以解释性功能为主.此外,生活类的NTEs以装饰性功能为主,数学史类NTEs以装饰性和解释性功能为主.未来,NTEs可在与数学内容的实质性联系以及功能的丰富性上作进一步考虑.

国家中医药综合改革示范区“十四五”中医药发展规划政策文本分析

目的剖析我国7个国家中医药综合改革示范区的“十四五”中医药发展规划政策的特征及政策工具使用情况,探讨政策缺陷,并提出优化策略,为推进国家中医药综合改革示范区建设提供参考。方法基于7省份“十四五”中医药发展规划,构建“政策工具—政策要素—政策清晰度”三维分析框架,进行多维度量化分析。结果7份中医药政策共提取564条编码,政策工具中命令规制型、激励型、能力建设型、系统变革型、象征劝诫型工具分别占比13.3%、7.1%、53.0%、22.9%、3.7%,政策要素中服务体系提及频率最高,占比33.9%,政策清晰度等级为“清晰”的编码条目占比9.4%。结论中医药政策激励机制不够完善,宣传力度不足,政策要素内部缺乏联动,政策工具与政策要素契合度不高,政策清晰度有待提升。建议丰富激励型与象征劝诫型政策工具的使用,建立中医药发展要素联动机制,优化政策工具内部结构,提升政策发展目标清晰度。

产品相似性、目标公司选择与并购创新绩效

通过并购整合外部资源、提升创新绩效是企业获取竞争优势的重要手段。揭示了产品相似性在并购决策、整合阶段的作用,指出产品相似性一方面缓解了主并双方的信息不对称问题,有利于主并公司挑选合适的目标公司,另一方面促进了并购后的深度整合,进而提升了主并公司的创新绩效。使用2009—2019年中国A股制造业上市公司样本,根据文本分析方法测算出主并双方的产品相似性数值,采用条件Logit模型和负二项回归模型进行了实证分析。回归结果显示:(1)与主并公司存在产品相似性关系的企业成为目标公司的可能性更大;(2)并购后,产品相似性会提高主并方的创新绩效;(3)产品相似性主要通过“知识吸收效应”“融资约束平滑效应”和“市场压力对冲效应”三个渠道提高了主并方的创新绩效。
