Recently, random graphs in which vertices are characterized by hidden variables controlling the establishment of edges between pairs of vertices have attracted much attention. This paper presents a specific realization of a class of random network models in which the connection probability between two vertices (i, j) is a specific function of degrees ki and kj. In the framework of the configuration model of random graphsp we find the analytical expressions for the degree correlation and clustering as a function of the variance of the desired degree distribution. The obtained expressions are checked by means of numerical simulations. Possible applications of our model are discussed. 展开更多

Line configuration and balancing is to select the type of line and allot a given set of operations as well as machines to a sequence of workstations to realize high-efficiency production. Most of the current researches for machining line configuration and balancing problems are related to dedicated transfer lines with dedicated machine workstations. With growing trends towards great product variety and fluctuations in market demand, dedicated transfer lines are being replaced with flexible machining line composed of identical CNC machines. This paper deals with the line configuration and balancing problem for flexible machining lines. The objective is to assign operations to workstations and find the sequence of execution, specify the number of machines in each workstation while minimizing the line cycle time and total number of machines. This problem is subject to precedence, clustering, accessibility and capacity constraints among the features, operations, setups and workstations. The mathematical model and heuristic algorithm based on feature group strategy and polychromatic sets theory are presented to find an optimal solution. The feature group strategy and polychromatic sets theory are used to establish constraint model. A heuristic operations sequencing and assignment algorithm is given. An industrial case study is carried out, and multiple optimal solutions in different line configurations are obtained. The case studying results show that the solutions with shorter cycle time and higher line balancing rate demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. This research proposes a heuristic line configuration and balancing algorithm based on feature group strategy and polychromatic sets theory which is able to provide better solutions while achieving an improvement in computing time. 展开更多

The article proposes a customer-oriented configuration model for modular mechatronic products which makes up the shortfall in meeting customer needs for the traditional configuration de- sign mode. The elements of the modular mechatronic products configuration model including module, module connection and configuration knowledge are analyzed. And a formal representation method for configuration model elements combining with their characteristics is given. Based on the above research, an abstract configuration model of modular mechatronic products is designed. The product configuration modeling is a key technology to realize configuration design. Most of the researches were mainly conducted focusing on how to establish a product configuration model, but were short of the consideration about the application scope and dynamic change features. In this paper, the reconfigurable modeling technology of similar-structure products configuration design is studied to enhance the generality and diversity of product configuration models, and to facilitate the dynamic upgrade of configuration models. The configuration components of products with similar structures are divided into sharable configuration components, essential configuration components and optional configuration components, so the construction of reconfigurable model of configuration design can be converted into the set operation of configuration components. The horizontal adjusting reconstruction of configuration model is carried out through the adding, replacing and deleting of configuration components, the vertical adjusting reconstruction of configuration model is carried out through the parametric deformation of configuration components, and the variable topological configuration model reconstruction can be realized through the transformation of partial structure of configuration components. Finally, NC machine products are used as an example to analyze and verify the reconfigurable modeling technology of products with similar structures. The speed of NC machine configuration design is found to be improved, and the number of NC machine configuration design models is decreased. And the reconfigurable design system of NC machine products is developed. The proposed modeling technology provides references for the processes, methods and steps of model reconstruction. 展开更多

The decision-making process of the public service facility configuration in multi-agent community is usually simplistic and static.In order to reflect dynamic changes and interactions of all behavior subjects including of residents,real estate developers and the government,a decision-making model of public service facility configuration according to the multi-agent theory was made to improve the efficiency of the public service facility configuration in community and the living quality of residents.Taking a community to the east of Jinhui Port in Fengxian District in Shanghai for example,the model analyzed the decision-makers' adaptive behaviors and simulated the decision-making criteria.The results indicate that the decision-making model and criteria can be well of satisfying the purpose of improving validity and rationality of public service facility configuration in large community. 展开更多

Validation of the Ability of Full Configuration Interaction Quantum Monte Carlo for Studying the 2D Hubbard Model

To validate the ability of full configuration interaction quantum Monte Carlo (FCIQMC) for studying the 2D Hubbard model near half-filling regime, the ground state energies of a 4×44×4 square lattice system with various interaction strengths are calculated. It is found that the calculated results are in good agreement with those obtained by exact diagonalization (i.e., the exact values for a given basis set) when the population of psi particles (psips) is higher than the critical population required to correctly sample the ground state wave function. In addition, the variations of the average computational time per 20 Monte Carlo cycles with the coupling strength and the number of processors are also analyzed. The calculated results show that the computational efficiency of an FCIQMC calculation is mainly affected by the total population of psips and the communication between processors. These results can provide useful references for understanding the FCIQMC algorithm, studying the ground state properties of the 2D Hubbard model for the larger system size by the FCIQMC method and using a computational budget as effectively as possible. 展开更多

The current research of configurable product disassemblability focuses on disassemblability evaluation and disassembly sequence planning. Little work has been done on quantitative analysis of configurable product disassemblability. The disassemblability modeling technology for configurable product based on disassembly constraint relation weighted design structure matrix (DSM) is proposed. Major factors affecting the disassemblability of configurable product are analyzed, and the disassembling degrees between components in configurable product are obtained by calculating disassembly entropies such as joint type, joint quantity, disassembly path, disassembly accessibility and material compatibility. The disassembly constraint relation weighted DSM of configurable product is constructed and configuration modules are formed by matrix decomposition and tearing operations. The disassembly constraint relation in configuration modules is strong coupling, and the disassembly constraint relation between modules is weak coupling, and the disassemblability configuration model is constructed based on configuration module. Finally, taking a hydraulic forging press as an example, the decomposed weak coupling components are used as configuration modules alone, components with a strong coupling are aggregated into configuration modules, and the disassembly sequence of components inside configuration modules is optimized by tearing operation. A disassemblability configuration model of the hydraulic forging press is constructed. By researching the disassemblability modeling technology of product configuration design based on disassembly constraint relation weighted DSM, the disassembly property in maintenance, recycling and reuse of configurable product are optimized. 展开更多

Nowadays,enterprises need to continually adjust their business processes to adapt to the changes of business environments,especially when one business needs to be deployed in different application scenarios,which is called spatial variability in this paper.In the field of BPM(Business Process Management),configurable business process models have demonstrated their effectiveness in aspects of process modeling and model reuse.Yet,we found that the existing techniques lead to complex configurable models,and are inadequate for model reuse especially for the spatial variability issue because they neglect the root impact of organizations on control flow.S-BPM(Subject-oriented Business Process Management)models provide a solid foundation for dealing with complex applications and help to bridge the gap between business and IT for process execution.In this paper,we propose an organization-driven business process configurable modeling approach for spatial variability by integrating both restriction and extension operations based on the S-BPM paradigm,in which business objects are also included.Our approach is validated with a general business process developed for the Real Estate Administration(REA)in a certain province of China.The resulting configurable modeling framework can express the heterogeneous activity sequences for one business and has the potential to generate process models for uncertain environments in a new organization structure. 展开更多

A model coupling the plasma with a cathode body is applied in the simulation of the diffuse state of a magnetically rotating arc.Four parametric studies are performed:on the external axial magnetic field(AMF),on the cathode shape,on the total current and on the inlet gas velocity.The numerical results show that:the cathode attachment focuses in the center of the cathode tip with zero AMF and gradually shifts off the axis with the increase of AMF;a larger cathode conical angle corresponds to a cathode arc attachment farther away off axis;the maximum values of plasma temperature increase with the total current;the plasma column in front of the cathode tip expands more severely in the axial direction,with a higher inlet speed;the cathode arc attachment shrinks towards the tip as the inlet speed increases.The various results are supposed to be explained by the joint effect of coupled cathode surface heating and plasma rotating flow. 展开更多

Constructing 3D railway scenes helps improve the railway information construction ability and the comprehensive railway management level.However,the existing modeling methods have disadvantages such as low flexibility in scene configuration,weak extensibility of scene objects and poor reusability of modeling knowledge.To enable multitype 3D railway scenes to be automatically constructed,a template-based knowledge reuse method was proposed in this paper.First,based on parsing of modeling operation characteristics and modeling knowledge expression,a modeling knowledge template was designed to store modeling knowledge and modeling operations in a parameterized way.The contents of this template were described in terms of semantic information,geometric information,topologic information and reference system information,and the method for instantiating the modeling knowledge template was proposed.Second,a scene configuration template was designed to organize the instantiated modeling knowledge files and scene objects.By the use of a flexible tree structure,the scene configuration template enables extensibility of scene objects.Finally,the two types of templates were parsed in terms of scene organization,linear referencing information,geometric and topologic relationships,and semantic descriptions.In this way,different types of 3D railway scenes were generated automatically.After a prototype system was developed,experiments on automatic modeling of two 3D railway scenes were carried out to verify the template-based knowledge reuse method.The experimental results show that the proposed method can be used to generate multitype 3D railway scenes automatically.With this method,model combination can be configured,model types can be extended and modeling knowledge can be reused. 展开更多

In the present study,Sm^(3+)activated inorganic orthophosphate CsMgPO_(4)(CSMP)phosphors were prepared by adopting a solid-state reaction method.The structural phase purity and morphological features were studied by X-ray powder diffraction(XRD)and scanning electron microscopy(SEM),respectively.The molecular structure and vibrational modes were substantiated with the Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and Raman spectroscopy characterization.The optical bandgap of the host and Sm^(3+)doped phosphors was deduced from the diffused reflectance(DR)spectra with a typical value of 5.72 eV and a small variation is observed with increasing concentrations.A systematic study of photoluminescence(PL)properties of Sm^(3+)doped CSMP phosphors was carried out.From the room temperature excitation and emission spectra,it is found that the phosphor emits in the orange rich red light under the suitable excitation of 402 nm in the UV region and concentration quenching occurs at x=0.02 doping level.The emission peaks observed at around 562,598 and 644 nm confirm the characteristic Sm^(3+)4 f-4 f transitions.The temperature-dependent photoluminescence(TD-PL)of the x=0.02(optimum doping)is recorded from 30 to 210℃,showing good thermal stability even at 150℃.The thermal quenching mechanisms are discussed based on the configuration coordinate model of excitation and emission.The prepared phosphors are found to exhibit near thermal stability compared to the commercially available red phosphors.PL decay time and quantum efficiency were measured.The colour coordinates are found to lie in the orangish-red region of the colour space.Thus the prepared phosphors CSMP:x Sm^(3+)can be useful as a red component in designing UV excitable chip-based phosphor-converted white LED applications. 展开更多

The optimization of metamorphic mechanisms is different from that of the conventional mechanisms for its characteristics of multi-configuration. There exist complex coupled design variables and constraints in its multiple different configuration optimization models. To achieve the compatible optimized results of these coupled design variables, an optimization method for metamorphic mechanisms is developed in the paper based on the principle of multidisciplinary design optimization(MDO). Firstly, the optimization characteristics of the metamorphic mechanism are summarized distinctly by proposing the classification of design variables and constraints as well as coupling interactions among its different configuration optimization models. Further, collaborative optimization technique which is used in MDO is adopted for achieving the overall optimization performance. The whole optimization process is then proposed by constructing a two-level hierarchical scheme with global optimizer and configuration optimizer loops. The method is demonstrated by optimizing a planar five-bar metamorphic mechanism which has two configurations,and results show that it can achieve coordinated optimization results for the same parameters in different configuration optimization models. 展开更多

Hydrologic performance of bioretention systems is significantly influenced by the media composition and underdrain configuration. This research measured hydrologic performance of column-scale bioretention systems during a synthetic design storm of 25.9 mm, assuming a system area:catchment area ratio of 5%. The laboratory experiments involved two different engineered media and two different drainage configurations. Results show that the two engineered mediawith different sand aggregates were able to retain about 36% of the inflow volume with tree drainage conlaguratlon. However, the medium with marine sand is better at delaying the occurrence of drainage than the one with pumice sand, denoting the better detention ability of the former. For both engineered media, an underdrain configuration with internal water storage (IWS) zone lowered drainage volume and peak drainage rate as well as delayed the occurrence of drainage and peak drainage rate, as compared to a free drainage configuration. The USEPA SWMM v5.1.11 model was applied for the tree drainage configuration case, and there is a reasonable fit between observed and modeled drainag.e-rates when media-specific characteristics are available. For the IWS drainage configuration case, air entrapment was observed to occur in the engineered medium with manne sand. F^lhng ot an IWS zone is most likely to be influenced by many factors, such as the structure of the bioretention system, medium physical and hydraulic properties, and inflow characteristics. More research is needed on the analysis and modeling of hydrologic process in bioretention with IWS drainage configuration. 展开更多

Using the neighborhood expansion method, we show that, with positive probability, any disease with an infection rate λ 〉 0 can survive for exponential time in the number of vertices of the graph. This strongly supports the view that stochastic scale-free networks are remarkably different from traditional regular graphs, such as, Z^d and classical Erdos-Renyi random graphs. 展开更多
