Cultural Confidence and Rural Cultural Revitalization Consciousness Cultivation Based on English Education-Taking English Teaching in Yi Nationality Region for Example

Through the survey on status of cultural confidence and rural cultural revitalization consciousness cultivation based on English education in Yi Nationality Region of Leshan City,aiming at cultivating students’cultural revitalization consciousness,the paper gives some strategies to effectively improve the quality of English education and improve students’cultural confidence,such as to strengthen teacher training,develop school-based textbooks of local culture,carry out collective lesson preparation and regular thematic teaching and research activities,strengthen communication and teaching reflection,etc.

Clinical Research on the Treatment of Simple Obesity by Oral Chinese Medicine Combined with Health Education to Improve Phlegm Dampness Constitution

OBJECTIVE: To observe the clinical effect of oral traditional Chinese medicine granules combined with health education to regulate phlegm constitution and treat simple obesity. METHODS: According to the method of constitution evaluation in TCM Constitution Classification and Evaluation(Chinese Association of Chinese Medicine), the TCM classification of Chinese medicine was performed on patients who came to the outpatient department of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Pinggu District of Beijing and met the diagnostic criteria of simple obesity. One hundred patients with phlegm constitution were selected and those in accordance with the standards, were randomly divided into group with oral TCM granules combined with health education(refer to as treatment group) and health education group(refer to as control group) according to 1:1 ratio. The control group was given health education including diet and exercise instruction. Treatment group:(1) Health education includes diet and exercise instruction.(2) Oral Chinese medicine granules: ingredients: atractylodes rhizome 15g, raw barley 30g, Folium Nelumbinis 10g, Chinese hawthorn fruit 10g, Chinese waxgourd peel 15g, milk-vetch root;15g, kudzuvine root 15g, danshen root10g, 2 times/d. The two groups were intervened for 12 weeks each time, and obesity evaluation indicators such as body weight, body fat, waist circumference, hip circumference, weight index, and score table of TCM constitutional were observed before and after the intervention. Statistical software was used for statistical analysis. RESULTS: The total curative effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(P<0.001). The weight index, body weight, waist and hip circumference decreased significantly after treatment(P <0.01). Compared with the two groups, the treatment group is better than the control group in terms of dampness constitution improvement, weight and fat losing and waist and hip circumference reducing.(P<0.01). CONCLUSION: Oral Chinese medicine granules Jiangzhuo Fang(combined with health education) and simple health education can improve phlegm constitution, and improve the body weight, body fat percentage and other indicators of the patients, but oral granules combined with health education to improve the physical fitness of phlegm is better than simple health education. The thoughts and methods of Chinese medicine granules combined with health education to regulate phlegm constitution is effective for weight losing and is worthy of further research and promotion.

Internal Relationship between Education on Cultural Confidence and Cultural Consciousness

Education on cultural confidence is the main way to strengthen one's cultural confidence while cultural consciousness constitutes a base for cultural confidence.The two would be unified in the process of strengthening cultural confidence.Therefore,there is a logical relationship between them.In order to understand the relationship between education on cultural confidence and cultural consciousness,one needs to have a correct understanding of the scientific connotation of the two and a clear picture that education on cultural confidence would ensure that one would be kept steadfast in cultural consciousness because it does not only establish attitudes in cultural conscious cognition but also act as a guide for internal development.

The Constitutional Consciousness of Chinese Citizens over 60 Years of Social Change

Constitutional consciousness is a general term for citizens＇ knowledge, opinions, ideas and thinking about the Constitution. It not only drives the implementation of the Constitution and the development of democratic politics and the rule of law, but also serves as an indicator for the extent of the rule of law. In the course of social change, constitutional consciousness constitutes an inner spiritual force within the constitutional order. It is a force for change in itself, especially as ＂a cultural soft power＂ that remolds normative judgments and value bases. A stable and mature constitutional consciousness provides a foundation for the benign operation of social change. Over the past 60 years, the development of Chinese society has followed a tortuous path, but due to citizens＇ constitutional consciousness the 1954 and 1982 Constitutions were always vehicles and forces for social cohesion and harmony. The way to improve supervision of constitutional implementation is to truly make rule of law thinking centered on constitutional consciousness into the basic value consensus of citizens and different groups at the level of the nation, the government and society. Adhering to the concept of the supremacy of the Constitution and exploring ways and means of adopting a more reasonable, pragmatic and open approach to its implementation will provide a solid constitutional foundation for the full implementation of governing the country according to law and will advance the construction of a rule of law China.

History of Apartheid Education and the Problems of Reconstruction in South Africa

This paper outlines the rationale of Bantu education that was available for South African Blacks from 1953 to 1992. The paper is of the opinion that challenges of constructing a new education system in post-apartheid South Africa cannot be fully grasped without a proper understanding of the pervasive impact of Bantu education on the majority for a period of almost 60 years. It also discusses the educational vision and goals of the important organizations in the liberation movement such as the African National Congress, the Azanian People＇s Organization, and the Pan Africanist Congress that continue to shape educational debates in the present educational reform context. The paper argues that the present curriculum by its very history and origins does not address the problems that have been created by the ideology of the former South African education system. Salient to these problems is the over-emphasis on Christian/European education that is not realistic in many regions of South Africa. The paper argues that curriculum has to reflect the cultural and racial diversity in South Africa, and further suggests that all languages and cultures in South Africa are essential in the building of an anti-racist and anti-sexist society. The monitoring of academic activity in a democratic education system can be confusing to teachers who have been trained within the confines of an apartheid （Bantu） education. The paper therefore suggests that more funds will have to be put aside by the government to upgrade the pedagogical approach of teachers so that they can be able to deal with their new role of leadership and the developing of content, and tackle issues of sexism/racism both in and out of the classroom.

Analysis on Life Education for Adolescents

With the increasing number of suicides among adolescents year by year along with a younger and rising trend,life education has caused widespread concern in the whole society.At present,there are some problems with the life education for young people in China,and the life education system suitable for China's national conditions needs to be further improved.The analysis of the current situation of the life education for adolescents would bring about important enlightenment for the establishment of the life education system.It is necessary to strengthen the education of life values among young people,use experiences and the home-school cooperation to help young people improve their life consciousness,learn to respect life,fear life,cherish life,as well as promote their healthy development.

Students' sustainability consciousness with the three dimensions of sustainability:Does the locus of control play a role?

The persistent environmental problems and the growing difficulty to achieve sustainable development require a re-evaluation of person’ sustainable knowledge, attitude, and behaviour. To go to where we want to go, we must first assess where we are now. The study investigated the level of sustainability consciousness of students in India, and sustainability consciousness was expressed in sustainability knowledge, attitude, and behaviour. Sustainability consciousness was further examined using the three dimensions, such as environment, society, and economy. By drawing the perception map of students and studying the role of the locus of control, the reasons why sustainability knowledge does not appear in sustainability behaviour were analyzed. Quantitative analysis was conducted for a sample of 205 students from higher educational institutions across central India(Madhya Pradesh) from January to March in 2022. The data were analyzed using the SPSS 26 and Smart Partial Least Square(PLS) 3.0. The research revealed that sustainability attitude impacts sustainability behaviour more than sustainability knowledge. The results showed that respondents’ sustainability knowledge is higher than their sustainability attitude and behaviour. Moreover, it was discovered that economic concerns can lead to sustainability behaviour. In order to study respondents’ behaviour regarding sustainability consciousness, the study divided respondents into two groups according to the locus of control: the internal and external locus of control. It was found that most respondents thought whatever happened around them was beyond their control. Further, the locus of control influenced sustainability behaviour in groups with the internal locus of control. The study helps to explain why sustainability knowledge and attitude cannot translate into sustainability behaviour and provides a basis for achieving sustainable development. The conclusions of this study are crucial for governments, educational institutions, and organizations that empower youth to change their behaviour.

针对受教育条款的既有解释欠缺历史维度,未能实质性贯彻八二宪法是对五四宪法的继承性发展这一共识。只有在参考历史背景的基础上对受教育权和受教育义务予以联动解释,才能发现八二宪法受教育条款的真正意涵。回顾历史可知,新中国成立之初,受五四宪法过渡性与权利保障现实性的影响,受教育义务没有入宪。当时对过渡时期总路线的落实促使人们侧重受教育权的积极面向,认为公民受教育权只能且必须依托中国共产党领导中国人民创建的新中国方能实现。改革开放后,为展现国家复兴姿态,受教育义务得以入宪。这种规范变动以及当下的社会变迁共同引发受教育权积极面向的淡化及其消极面向的回归。于是,人们不再下意识地认为受教育权的实现必得依赖国家,而是将国家供应的义务教育视为一种满足基本需求的“底线教育”,并在此基础上转而寻求实现更高质量教育的多样化途径。
