Construction Project Management and Construction Quality Control Strategy

With the gradual acceleration of the urbanization process,the construction industry has been developing rapidly.As the key link to ensure the quality and safety of the project,construction management and construction quality control are of great significance to enhance the competitiveness of construction enterprises and realize sustainable development.In this paper,the effective strategy of construction management and the effective strategy of construction quality control will be discussed in depth,aiming at providing useful management and quality control strategies for construction enterprises.

Leadership and Top Management Influence on Total Quality Management Implementation in the Ghanaian Construction Industry

This study aims to determine the key and underlying Leadership and Top Management (LTM) factors that have a significant impact on sustaining the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) within the construction industry in Ghana. The research methodology employed in this study was a quantitative technique. Questionnaires were distributed to 641 participants within construction industry in Ghana. Questionnaires retrieved for the analysis were 536. Three steps approached were used for the data analysis. These include Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis. After conducting the EFA and CFA, SEM was also used to analyze the construct validity. The SEM analysis helps to determine four key indicator variables for the leadership and top management construct. These include Leadership/Top Management approach to employees’ management, Leadership/Top Management understanding of TQM, Leadership/Top Management empowerment of employees to resolve quality issues, and Leadership/Top Management endorsement of TQM. All the four indicator variables were found to be good of fit and closely associated with the dependent variable. The study adds to the body of knowledge by using EFA, CFA and SEM techniques to establish key leadership and top management factors affecting TQM implementation in Ghana’s construction industry. The findings in general suggested that leadership and top Management factors identified have a direct positive impact on sustaining TQM implementation in the Ghanaian construction industry. Consequently, the leadership and top management factors identified in this study can help improve TQM in the Ghanaian construction industry.

Research on Quality Management Measures of Green Building Construction

Urbanization has led to the rapid development of the construction industry.However,this has also led to higher requirements for the construction engineering management.Other than the quality monitoring of engineering construction,the energy-saving properties of the building should also be considered.Therefore,a scientific management approach should be adopted to improve green building management.This paper primarily examines the importance of quality management in green building construction,along with the factors influencing it.It also identifies the quality issues present in current green building construction.Finally,it proposes measures for quality management in the green building construction process to facilitate the industry’s healthy development.

Comparison of German and American Higher Education Accreditation Systems and Implications for Quality Management of Higher Education in China

At the present stage,China’s higher education has experienced continuous reform and enhancement,the scale of education has jumped to the forefront,and the quality of education has been continuously improved,which has made gratifying achievements.The development of China’s higher education has entered the critical node of improving quality and efficiency,and the importance of quality management as the central link in improving the quality of higher education is self-evident.Accreditation as an effective means of quality assurance,in Germany and the United States has formed a mature and perfect system and procedures.Therefore,analysing and learning from the quality management system of higher education in Germany and the United States has an important reference value for promoting the further development of quality management of higher education in China.

Construction Method for Performance Management Curriculum Content System Based on Knowledge Graph

Performance Management is the core course of human resource management major,but its knowledge points lack multi-dimensional correlations.There are problems such as scattered content and unclear system,and it is urgent to reconstruct the content system of the course.Knowledge graph technology can integrate massive and scattered information into an organic structure through semantic correlation and reasoning.The application of knowledge graph to education and teaching can promote scientific and personalized teaching evaluation and better realize individualized teaching.This paper systematically combs the knowledge points of Performance Management course and forms a comprehensive knowledge graph.The knowledge point is associated with specific questions to form the problem map of the course,and then the knowledge point is further associated with the ability target to form the ability map of the course.Then,the knowledge point is associated with teaching materials,question bank and expansion resources to form a systematic teaching database,thereby giving the method of building the content system of Performance Management course based on the knowledge map.This research can be further extended to other core management courses to realize the deep integration of knowledge graph and teaching.

Quality and safety of agricultural products are significant for national socioeconomic development,sustainable development,and vital interests of people.To safeguard quality and safety of agricultural products in west China is to safeguard economic safety and ecological safety of the country,public health and social stability,of which an important task is to properly handle emergencies concerning quality and safety of agricultural products.Considering actual conditions of west China,suggestions are given to construct the all-region linkage system for emergency management of agricultural product quality and safety in the local area,enhance the all-region linkage,and improve the linkage efficiency.

Safety and Quality Control Management Strategy for Urban Railway Engineering Construction

The safety management of urban railway engineering construction involves many different aspects and a wide scope,playing an important role in guaranteeing the safety of construction projects.Management agencies have more stringent requirements on the quality of railway construction.The overall quality of a construction project should meet the construction requirements before the project can be carried out.In this article,the problems in the actual work of the entire life cycle of safety management are explained,and the lessons and experience pertaining to the safety and quality of urban railway construction projects are discussed.The purpose of this paper is to provide references for the management of urban railway construction.

Study of Quality Management in Construction Projects

This research management, exp and lores preliminarily the practices of quality management, management commitment in quality quality management implementation problems in construction projects in the context of Malaysian construction industry. The research applies semi-structured interview approach with twelve project management practitioners. The findings of the study indicate that the state of quality management in construction projects in Malaysia needs to be strengthened and there are problems in relation to quality management implementation that require attention and further research. The paper provides an insight on the state of quality management in construction projects in Malaysia.

A Framework for Identifying and Managing Information Quality Metrics of Corporate Performance Management System

Corporate Performance Management （CPM） system is an information system used to collect, analyze, and visualize key performance indicators （KPIs） to support both business operations and especially strategic decisions. CPM systems display KPIs in forms of scorecard and dashboard so the executives can keep track and evaluate corporate performance. The quality of the information as shown in the KPIs is very crucial for the executives to make the right decisions. Therefore, it is important that the executives must be able to retrieve not only the KPIs but also the quality of those KPIs before using such KPIs in their strategic decisions. The objectives of this study were to determine the role of the CPM system in the organizations, current data and information quality state, problems and perspectives regarding data quality, as well as data quality maturity stage of the organizations. Survey research was used in this study; a questionnaire was sent to collect data from 477 corporations listed in the Stock Exchange of Thailand （SET） on January, 2011. Forty-nine questionnaires were returned. The results show that about half of the organizations have implemented CPM systems. Most organizations are confident in the information in CPM system, but information quality issues are commonly found. Frequent problems regarding information quality are information not up to date, information not ready by time of use, inaccuracy and incomplete. The most concerned and frequently assessed quality dimensions were security, accuracy, completeness, and validity. When asked to prioritize, the most important quality dimensions are accuracy, timeliness, completeness, security, and validity respectively. In addition, most organizations concern about data govemance management and have deployed such measures. This study showed that most organizations are on level 4 on Gartner＇s data governance maturity stage in which data governance is concerned and managed, but still not effective.

Study on Pork Quality and Safety Traceability System and Relevant Management Systems

It is the key to construct the traceability mechanism of quality responsibility for ensuring the quality and safety of animal products. In this study, after defining the concept of traceability system and analyzing its function mechanism, the design ideas of pork quality and safety traceability system based on bar code and Internet were put forward, including network structure, system process, business process and information identifica- tion. Then the relevant management systems were proposed.

With the quick development of the reform of College English teaching, web based College English teaching is used and generalized in every institution of higher education. However, more attention should be paid to the teaching quality to develop this web based College English teaching model. Therefore, the construction of the quality guarantee system is of major significance to promote the effective design of web based College English course system and improve the quality of web based College English teaching.

Cascade Tank Water Quality Management: A Case Study in Thirappane Tank Cascade System, Sri Lanka

Tank cascade system(TCS)is a series of tanks located in a meso-catchment and has been accepted as a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System found in Sri Lanka.Ecosystem components of the TCS play a major role in purifying water within the system.This study attempted to investigate the water quality status and the farmers’willingness to rehabilitate the ecosystem components of the Thirappane TCS.Drinking and irrigation water quality parameters were tested in 34 locations and drinking and irrigation water quality indexes were calculated.Participatory rural appraisal and a questioner survey were conducted to gather social data.Water of TCS was observed to be appropriate for irrigation but not for drinking during the Maha cropping season.Based on the results of the Nitrate(as NO_(3)^(-))and Total Phosphate(as PO_(4)^(3-)),water of TCS can be categorized as eutrophic.Presence of ecosystem features of tank cascade system,annual income of the respondents,satisfaction on the quality of water for drinking,and the awareness about the tank cascade system significantly influenced the participatory decisions of the community on the rehabilitation of TCS.This study shall be an example and an eye opener to formulate sustainable tank cascade management plan.

Analysis of Teaching Quality Monitoring in ISO9000 Quality Management System

With the development of the times, all kinds of competition, higher education gradually grow into the community center from the margins of society; the quality of higher education is becoming a major issue of concern. Monitoring and protecting the quality of higher education is now the main topic of higher education reform and development. Quality is the lifeline of university development, improving the quality of teaching is the eternal theme of higher education, and undergraduate education is the main and basic higher education. Therefore, improving the quality of undergraduate teaching is essential to enhance the quality of teaching in Higher Education.

Design and Implementation of Traceability Management System of Agricultural Products Quality and Safety Based on Domestic Basic Software of China

[Objective] To establish the traceability mechanism of agricultural products safety, and the application of promote domestic based software in the supervision area of agricultural products quality and safety. [Method] Through the analysis on the circulation characteristics of agricultural products, like fruits, vegetables, livestock and poultry, the agricultural products quality safety management and traceability query business component libraries were designed. Based on the run-time-supporting environment provided by domestic based software, traceability management system of agricultural products quality and safety was constructed. [Result] The traceability management system provided the information interaction and comprehensive management platform of agricultural product quality and safety based on domestic based software for the government, enterprises and consumers. [Conclusion] Through the application demonstration, the quality control and information traceability of full circulation of agricultural products was achieved effective and reliably, and the management level of agricultural products quality and safety was improved.

Construction of the Ontology-Based Agricultural Knowledge Management System

Ontology is the formal representation of concepts and their mutual relations. It has wide application potential in the classification of agricultural information, the construction of information and knowledge database, the research and development of intelligent search engine, as well as the realization of cooperative information service, etc. In this research, an ontology-based agricultural knowledge management system framework is proposed, which includes modules of ontology-based knowledge acquisition, knowledge representation, knowledge organization, and knowledge mining, etc. The key technologies, building tools and applications of the framework are explored. Future researches on the theoretical refinement and intelligent simulation knowledge service are also envisioned.
