Ammonia plays an essential role in human production and life as a raw material for chemical fertilizers.The nitrate electroreduction to ammonia reaction(NO_(3)RR)has garnered attention due to its advantages over the Haber-Bosch process and electrochemical nitrogen reduction reaction.Therefore,it represents a promising approach to safeguard the ecological environment by enabling the cycling of nitrogen species.This review begins by discussing the theoretical insights of the NO_(3)RR.It then summarizes recent advances in catalyst design and construction strategies,including alloying,structure engineering,surface engineering,and heterostructure engineering.Finally,the challenges and prospects in this field are presented.This review aims to guide for enhancing the efficiency of electrocatalysts in the NO_(3)RR,and offers insights for converting NO_(3)-to NH_(3). 展开更多

A construction strategy for a tunnel with big deformation 被引量:1

By integrating literature reviews, site observa- tion, field monitoring, theoretical analysis, summarization, etc., a construction strategy was proposed and verified for tunneling with big deformation in this paper. The tunnel was in phyllite, shotcrete cracks and steel arch distortion were observed, and a big deformation with a maximum of 2.0 m was monitored during the initial stage of the construction. Through carefully examining the site observation and laboratory test results, a construction principle was established for the tunneling on the basic concept of maintaining the rock strength/stiffness and keeping the rock dry, by providing confinement pressure to the rock, reducing the rock exposure time, keeping water out of the tunnel, etc. To achieve the construction principle, a set of specific construction measures with 11 items was further proposed and applied to the construction. To check the effectiveness of the construction measures, field monitoring was carried out, which showed that the rock deformation was well controlled and the tunnel became stable. An allowable deformation was then determined using the Fenner formulae and the monitored data in order to guide further construction, which received a good result. From this study, it can be concluded that providing quick strong initial support and reserving core soil at the working faceare extremely important to control the rock deformation and keep the tunnel stable. 展开更多

With the rapid development of the transportation industry in China,the number and scale of tunnel construction are increasing.Tunneling through fault zones and other complex geological environments is becoming more and more common.In the construction of highway tunnels,due to the special geographical environment and complex geological conditions,mud and water inrush often occur in the tunnel.Water inrush disasters pose a major risk to the construction of highway tunnels and affect the normal construction of highway tunnels.This paper combines the engineering background of the tunnel mud and water inrush accidents,carries out evaluation on the accident treatment measures and the treatment efficiency,and summarizes the main concerns in the construction process and the technical guidelines for dealing with the tunnel mud and water inrush. 展开更多

Electrocatalysis for the oxygen evolution reactions(OER)has attracted much attention due to its important role in water splitting and rechargeable metal-air batteries.Therefore,designing highly efficient and low-cost catalysts for OER process is essential as the conventional catalysts still rely on precious metals.Transition metal-based compounds have been widely investigated as active OER catalysts,and renewed interest in the high valence metals engineered compounds has been achieved for superior catalytic activity and stability.However,an in-depth understanding of the construction strategies and induced effects for the high valence metals engineered catalysts is still lacking and desired.In this review,we have summarized the construction strategies of high valence metals as dopants or formed heterostructures with the iron/cobalt/nickel(Fe/Co/Ni)-based catalysts.Then the induced effects on Fe/Co/Ni-based catalysts by incorporating high valence metals,e.g.,accelerating the surface reconstruction,forming amorphous structure,generating vacancies/defects,and acting as stabilizers,are highlighted.The impacts of high valence metals on OER performance are elucidated based on different elements,including molybdenum(Mo),tungsten(W),cerium(Ce),vanadium(V),chromium(Cr),manganese(Mn),niobium(Nb),zirconium(Zr).The correlations of construction strategies,induced effects,catalytic activity and OER reaction pathways are elaborated.Finally,the remaining challenges for further enhancements of OER performance induced by high valence metals are presented. 展开更多

The impact of unstable supercooled water droplets suspended in the cloud on the solid will cause its surface to freeze,and the flight safety of the aircraft will be seriously affected when flying in this environment.Aircraft icing protection system is an important device to reduce icing accidents and improve aircraft safety performance,which is of great significance to ensure flight safety.Based on the energy source,this paper proposes a general strategy for constructing an aircraft icing protection system,including Active Anti-icing and De-icing(AAD)system,Passive Antiicing and De-icing(PAD)system and Composite Anti-icing and De-icing(CAD)system.The principle,scope of application,advantages and disadvantages of aircraft anti-icing and de-icing technologies such as electric pulse de-icing,low-frequency piezoelectric de-icing,and hydrophobic material anti-icing are explored in detail,and the corresponding improvement measures are proposed.The future development of aircraft anti-icing and de-icing technology is prospected,and some new ideas are provided for the improvement of aircraft anti-icing and de-icing technology. 展开更多

Ratiometric fluorescence(FL)probes can eliminate the background interference and provide more accurate detection results than single emission intensity-based nanoprobes.Recently,carbon dots(CDs)-based ratiometric FL probes have received extensive research attention due to their excellent biocompatibility,water solubility,and multi-emission capabilities.In this review,we firstly summarize the construction strategies of CDs-based ratiometric FL probes,including physical mixing,nanohybrid,and dual-emitting CDs strategies.Additionally,we classify the sensing types of CDs-based ratiometric FL probes into five categories according to the difference in spectral variation caused by analytes:“single-response-ON”,“single-response-OFF”,“doubleresponses-ON”,“double-responses-OFF”,and“double-responses-Reverse”types.Finally,a thorough overview of CDs-based ratiometric FL probe applications in ions,molecules,pH,and temperature sensing is provided.We believe this review can show the latest research progress of CDs-based ratiometric FL sensing fields and provide perspectives on future developments for the construction of CDs-based ratiometric FL probes and their potential applications. 展开更多

Since 2014, China has been implementing the Sponge City Construction initiative, which represents an enormous and unprecedented effort by any government in the world for achieving urban sustainability. Since 2014, China has been implementing the Sponge City Construction initiative, which represents an enormous and unprecedented effort by any government in the world for achieving urban sustainability. According to preliminary estimates, the total investment on the Sponge City Plan is roughly 100 to 150 million Yuan (RMB) ($15 to $22.5 million) average per square kilometer or 10 Trillion Yuan (RMB) ($1.5 Trillion) for the 657 cities nationwide. The Sponge City Plan (SCP) calls for the use of natural processes such as soil and vegetation as part of the urban runoff control strategy, which is similar to that of low impact development (LID) and green infrastructure (G1) practices being promoted in many parts of the world. The SCP includes as its goals not only effective urban flood control, but also rainwater harvest, water quality improvement and ecological restoration. So far, the SCP implementation has encountered-some barriers and challenges due to many factors. The present paper presents a review of those barriers and challenges, oftizrs discussions and recommendations on several technical aspects such as control goals and objectives; planning/design and construction of LID/GI practices; performance evaluation. Several key recommendations are proposed on Sponge City implementation strategy, Site-specific regulatory fi'amework and technical gmdance, Product innovation and certification, LID/GI Project financing, LID/G1 profcssional training and certification, public outreach and education. It is expected that the successful implemen!atiun of the. SCP not only will bring about a sustainable, eco-friendly urbanization process in China, but also contribute enormously to the LID/Gl research and development with the vast amount of relevant data and experiences generated from the Sponge City construction projects. 展开更多
