The influence of laser surface melting and induction hardening on the surface structure,con- tact fatigue life and failure behaviour of the nodular cast iron has been investigated.The con- tact fatigue life can be improved by both laser treatment and induction hardening,but the fail- ure process and type are different from each other.The former is due to lumpy and deep spal- ling caused by crack propagation between the quenching zone and the substrate,and the latter is due to nubby and surface flaking caused by the oil wedged action into surface cracks. 展开更多

AIMTo determine the impact of rigid gas permeable (RGP) and silicone-hydrogel keratoconus lenses on the quality of life (QoL) in keratoconus (KCN) patients using the self-reported results from the Contact Lens Impact on Quality of Life (CLIQ) Questionnaire.METHODSFrom January 2013 to April 2013, 27 consecutive KCN patients who wore RGP contact lenses (conflexair100 UV KE Zeiss-W&#x000f6;hlk) or soft silicone-hydrogel contact lenses (SHCLs) for KCN (KeraSoft IC- Bausch&#x00026;Lomb or Hydrocone Toris K-Swiss lens) completed the CLIQ questionnaire.RESULTSThe mean age of 27 patients was 29.6&#x000b1;8.0y. Fifteen patients were RGP user. The groups were comparable with respect to the mean patient age, sex, and mean K values (P=0.1, P=0.8 and P=0.1, respectively). The mean CLIQperson measure was 42.8&#x000b1;5.5 in RGP group and 39.6&#x000b1;5.5 in SHCLs for KCN group (P=0.06). CLIQperson measure was positively correlated with steep K value (r=0.301, P=0.04). When eyes were stratified by visual acuity with contact lenses, the mean CLIQperson measure was 42.01&#x000b1;5.6 in eyes with a visual acuity of 20/20-20/25 (n=44) and 38.4&#x000b1;5.26 in eyes with a visual acuity of 20/32 or less (n=10; P=0.097).CONCLUSIONRGP lenses and SHCLs for KCN have similar impact on QoL. 展开更多

为了提高轴承的疲劳寿命,采用Romax Designer工程分析软件,在充分考虑径向游隙和内外圈相对倾斜量(影响轴承寿命的主要因素)对修形效果影响的基础上,对某大兆瓦风电机组齿轮箱输出轴轴承进行了对数修形优化分析。首先,对国际标准ISO/TS ... 为了提高轴承的疲劳寿命,采用Romax Designer工程分析软件,在充分考虑径向游隙和内外圈相对倾斜量(影响轴承寿命的主要因素)对修形效果影响的基础上,对某大兆瓦风电机组齿轮箱输出轴轴承进行了对数修形优化分析。首先,对国际标准ISO/TS 16281寿命计算方法进行了简要分析;然后,对不同径向游隙情况下对数修形的效果进行了分析;最后,对不同内外圈相对倾斜量情况下对数修形的效果进行了分析。研究结果表明:以轴承最大接触应力最小为优化目标和以国际标准ISO/TS 16281寿命最长为优化目标的轴承对数修形,其最佳修形量不同,相应的ISO/TS 16281寿命有很大不同;在该轴承的具体条件下,以ISO/TS 16281寿命最长为优化目标的最佳修形凸度量对应的ISO/TS 16281寿命比以最大接触应力最小为优化目标的最佳修形凸度量对应的ISO/TS 16281寿命长2.39%~10.63%;以ISO/TS 16281寿命最长为优化目标的最佳修形凸度量对应的ISO/TS 16281寿命比未修形的ISO/TS 16281寿命长111.47%~1054.88%,建议以ISO/TS 16281寿命最长为优化目标对轴承进行修形优化设计。该研究结果可为滚子类轴承的优化设计提供参考。 展开更多

The influence of different cryogenic sequences on the rolling contact fatigue(RCF)life of M50-bearing steel has been studied.The results show that direct cryogenic treatment after quenching can effectively improve RCF life.The L_(10)life is strikingly 5 times longer than that with cryogenic treatment after tem-pering.This is caused by the distinct lattice construction of martensite and the transformation of retained austenite.More secondary nanocarbides and fine twins are formed via cryogenic treatment before tem-pering compared with cryogenic treatment after tempering.The improvement in the RCF life of the steel is attributed to the joint effects of the secondary nanocarbides and twin boundaries with a width of 5-13 nm,which delays significantly crack initiation and propagation.This study highlights a common method to improve the service life of high-carbon and high-alloy steels by adjusting the cryogenic se-quence. 展开更多

本文运用溶胶-凝胶燃烧法合成了双钙钛矿型LaNi_(x)Co_(1-x)O_(3)(LNCO)纳米材料,利用粉末冶金和热挤压技术制备了相应的Ag/LNCO触点材料及元件样品。重点考察了不同Ni、Co含量对Ag/LNCO触点材料微观结构、物相组成、物理性能、力学性... 本文运用溶胶-凝胶燃烧法合成了双钙钛矿型LaNi_(x)Co_(1-x)O_(3)(LNCO)纳米材料,利用粉末冶金和热挤压技术制备了相应的Ag/LNCO触点材料及元件样品。重点考察了不同Ni、Co含量对Ag/LNCO触点材料微观结构、物相组成、物理性能、力学性能及电寿命服役能力的影响,对其电弧侵蚀失效行为进行了研究,并与SnO2粉体增强Ag基触点材料进行对比。结果表明:溶胶凝胶法合成的LNCO纳米颗粒粒径为20-30 nm,经粉末冶金工艺制备的Ag/LaNi_(0.5)Co_(0.5)O_(3)触点材料电学性能和电寿命都优于Ag/SnO_(2)触点材料,其电阻率低至2.10μΩ∙cm,电寿命性能达到51287次。表明Ag/LaNi_(0.5)Co_(0.5)O_(3)触点材料性能较佳,是一种可以取代Ag/CdO的新型触点材料。 展开更多

A newly developed pure rolling fatigue test rig with three contact points for bearing bails was used to perform rolling contact fatigue (RCF) tests. The fatigue properties of GCrl5 steel bails and two kinds of Si3N4 ceramic balls (GSN-200 and NBD-200) produced with different technologies were compared. Ball surfaces were examined after failure with optical microscope and scanning electron microscope (SEM). It was identified by tests that the failure mode of ceramic balls was surface spail. The main factor of ceramic bail failure was principal tensile stress. Life tests data, summarized in accordance with the Weibull theory, showed that the life of GSN-200 balls was close to that of GCrl5 balls, whereas the life of NBD-200 balls was much longer than those of GSN-200 and GCr15. Under the same working condition, the temperature rise of all ceramic bails was lower than that of steel balls, and their crack propagation rates were slower than that of steel balls. 展开更多

Cold rotary forging is an advanced and complex metal forming technology with continuous local plastic deformation.Investigating the contact force between the dies and the workpiece has a great significance to improve the life of the dies in cold rotary forging.The purpose of this work is to reveal the contact force responses in cold rotary forging through the modelling and simulation.For this purpose,a 3D elastic-plastic dynamic explicit FE model of cold rotary forging is developed using the FE code ABAQUS/Explicit.Through the modelling and simulation,the distribution and evolution of the contact force in cold rotary forging is investigated in detail.The experiment has been conducted and the validity of the 3D FE model of cold rotary forging has been verified.The results show that: 1) The contact force distribution is complex and exhibits an obvious non-uniform characteristic in the radial and circumferential directions; 2) The maximum contact force between the upper die and the workpiece is much larger than that between the lower die and the workpiece; 3) The contact force evolution history is periodic and every period experiences three different stages; 4) The total normal contact force is much larger than the total shear contact force at any given time. 展开更多

The anti-fatigue mechanisms of SbSbS4 additive were analyzed by means of SEM and EDAX. It was shown that, when the grease contained SbSbS4, contact fatigue life was improved compared with that of base grease. Nanoparticle absorption action, nanoparticle infiltration action, and extreme pressure and anti-friction performance, explained why SbSbS4 increased the contact fatigue life of the steel ball tested. 展开更多

The main challenges in development of traditional liquid lithium-sulfur batteries are the shuttle effect at the cathode caused by the polysulfide and the safety concern at the Li metal anode arose from the dendrite formation.All-solid-state lithium-sulfur batteries have been proposed to solve the shuttle effect and prevent short circuits.However,solid-solid contacts between the electrodes and the electrolyte increase the interface resistance and stress/strain,which could result in the limited electrochemical performances.In this work,the cathode of all-solid-state lithium-sulfur batteries is prepared by depositing sulfur on the surface of the carbon nanotubes(CNTs@S)and further mixing with Li10GeP2S12 electrolyte and acetylene black agents.At 60℃,CNTs@S electrode exhibits superior electrochemical performance,delivering the reversible discharge capacities of 1193.3,959.5,813.1,569.6 and 395.5 mAhg^-1 at the rate of 0.1,0.5,1,2 and 5 C,respectively.Moreover,the CNTs@S is able to demonstrate superior high-rate capability of 660.3 mAhg^-1 and cycling stability of 400 cycles at a high rate of 1.0 C.Such uniform distribution of the CNTs,S and Li10GeP2S12 electrolyte increase the electronic and ionic conductivity between the cathode and the electrolyte hence improves the rate performance and capacity retention. 展开更多

This paper investigates the multiaxial fatigue life of the roller in rolling contact with wheels with respect to axis line deflection. The multiaxial fatigue criteria proposed by Wang and Brown, together with the ralnflow counting method and Miner- Palmgren's rule, are applied to the cumulative damage estimation and life prediction. As the axis line deflection of overlong kilns generally results in asymmetric load distribution on each roller, the load ratio is introduced to describe the deflection for quantitative stress analyses. The stress analyses are performed within the finite element code ANSYS. The tangential friction stress is calculated in terms :of the condition of the rolling contact area. By taking one roller as an example, the plotted fatigue life versus load ratio curve discovers how the axis line deflection affects the fatigue life. This study is significant to prevent the fatigue failure of the roller and can provide basis to adjust and optimize the axis line of the rotary kiln. 展开更多

为了解决传统堆垛机在运行过程中出现刚度不足、振动大、易产生侧向倾覆等问题,设计了一种新型堆垛机,并对堆垛机行走机构中V型滚轮接触力与导轨接触刚度进行了分析。首先,提出了一种新型堆垛机的工作原理,对堆垛机各个部分的结构进行... 为了解决传统堆垛机在运行过程中出现刚度不足、振动大、易产生侧向倾覆等问题,设计了一种新型堆垛机,并对堆垛机行走机构中V型滚轮接触力与导轨接触刚度进行了分析。首先,提出了一种新型堆垛机的工作原理,对堆垛机各个部分的结构进行了分析;提出了一种V型滚轮的布置形式,并对其结构特点进行了分析;然后,针对堆垛机行走机构的力学模型,分析了V型滚轮的接触力,基于该方法给出了V型滚轮与导轨的接触刚度与接触寿命的理论求解方法,并进行了实例计算;最后,采用有限元方法对新型堆垛机整机进行了静力学分析,求解出了堆垛机V型滚轮的接触力大小以及接触变形量,从而求解出了V型导轨的接触刚度;并对比分析了有限元结果与理论求解结果。仿真结果表明:该堆垛机滚轮理论计算寿命为5 192 km,导轨理论计算寿命为1.9×10^(5)km;初始状态下的理论与仿真刚度分别为7.92×10^(5)N/mm与7.55×10^(5)N/mm,极限状态下理论与仿真接触刚度分别为8.14×10^(5)N/mm与7.86×10^(5)N/mm。研究结果表明:该堆垛机具有较高的使用寿命,且理论模型计算与仿真分析所得的两个接触刚度大小很接近,在处理V型滚轮接触方式的力和刚度分析时,该理论模型可以作为工程适用的快捷计算方法。 展开更多
