The existing problems about DS-CDMA outer loop power control for multi-service are introduced and the power control theoretical model is analyzed. System simulation is adopted on how to obtain the theoretical performance and parameter optimization of the power control algorithm. The OLPC algorithm is improved and the performance comparisons between the old algorithm and the improved algorithm are given. A transfigured loop shaping system puts a controller K in a feedback loop, while putting the dc gain of the controller K on the reference signal line. It is shown through frequency domain analysis and simulation that a transfigured controller can improve the dynamic behavior of a system. The transfigured loop shaping controller method is simple and effective and corresponds to the mixed sensitivity method of robust control theory, which improves the behavior of a system by iterative tuning of weighting functions. Satisfactory control results are obtained when it is applied to the design of an underwater vehicle. This paper can be viewed as an extension of the work in reference [1]. To compensate the uncertainties, an adaptive robust controller based on Lyapunov method is proposed and the design algorithm is also suggested. Compared with some previous controllers which can only ensure ultimate uniform boundedness of the systems, the controller given in the paper can make sure that the obtained closed-loop system is asymptotically stable in the large. The con...To improve the energy efficiency of a direct expansion air conditioning(DX A/C) system while guaranteeing occupancy comfort, a hierarchical controller for a DX A/C system with uncertain parameters is proposed. The control strategy consists of an open loop optimization controller and a closed-loop guaranteed cost periodically intermittent-switch controller(GCPISC). The error dynamics system of the closed-loop control is modelled based on the GCPISC principle. The difference,compared to the previous DX A/C system control methods, is that the controller designed in this paper performs control at discrete times. For the ease of designing the controller, a series of matrix inequalities are derived to be the sufficient conditions of the lower-layer closed-loop GCPISC controller. In this way, the DX A/C system output is derived to follow the optimal references obtained through the upper-layer open loop controller in exponential time, and the energy efficiency of the system is improved. Moreover, a static optimization problem is addressed for obtaining an optimal GCPISC law to ensure a minimum upper bound on the DX A/C system performance considering energy efficiency and output tracking error. The advantages of the designed hierarchical controller for a DX A/C system with uncertain parameters are demonstrated through some simulation results.展开更多

By online monitoring the shape di- mensions of both the deformation zone and its adjacent zone by machine vision, the initial and terminative positions of deformation were dynamically identified during dieless drawing, and the global monitoring and online closed-loop control of the deformation zone were achieved. The dieless drawing process was systematically carried out on NiTi shape memory alloy wires. It is shown that the deformation measurement method of interframe displacement can track the axial displacement of the wires, but this cannot be achieved by traditional machine vision. The initial and terminative positions of deformation can be accurately identified by this method. The proposed rectifying control technology can effectively decrease the wire diameter fluctuation during dieless drawing, that is, the standard deviation of the wire diameter fluctuation could be decreased fi'om 0.30 to 0.08 mm after three passes of dieless drawing, indicating that the control system has a good rectifying ability.展开更多

An interpolation of the stabilizing controllers for the representative models is designed to stabilize the plant, and the necessary and sufficient condition for the plant to be stabilized by the proposed controller is presented using the Nevanlinna-Pick interpolation theory. It is shown that the class of stabilization plants via the proposed controller in the paper is larger than that by the controller in reference. An example is also given to illustrate this fact.展开更多
In order to study the factors that influence the air fuel ratio(A/F), the amplitude and frequency of A/F fluctuation, to reform the control strategy, and to improve the efficiency of three way catalyst(TWC), a model...In order to study the factors that influence the air fuel ratio(A/F), the amplitude and frequency of A/F fluctuation, to reform the control strategy, and to improve the efficiency of three way catalyst(TWC), a model of closed loop control system including the engine, air fuel mixing and transportation, oxygen sensor and controller, etc., is developed. Various factors that influence the A/F control are studied by simulation. The simulation results show that the reference voltage of oxygen sensor will influence the mean value of A/F ratio, the controller parameters will influence the amplitude of A/F fluctuation, and the operating conditions of the engine determine the frequency of A/F fluctuations, the amplitude of A/F fluctuation can be reduced to within demanded values by logical selection of the signal acquisition method and controller parameters. Higher A/F fluctuation frequency under high speed and load can be reduced through software delay in the controller. The A/F closed loop control system based on the simulation results, accompanied with a rare earth element TWC, gives a better efficiency of conversion against harmful emissions.展开更多

The controller can not only stabilize the time-delay system, but also make the H∞ norm of the closed-loop system be less than a given bound. Web service applications are increasing tremendously in support of high-level businesses.There must be a need of better server load balancing mechanism for improving the performance of web services in business.Though ...Web service applications are increasing tremendously in support of high-level businesses.There must be a need of better server load balancing mechanism for improving the performance of web services in business.Though many load balancing methods exist,there is still a need for sophisticated load bal-ancing mechanism for not letting the clients to get frustrated.In this work,the ser-ver with minimum response time and the server having less traffic volume were selected for the aimed server to process the forthcoming requests.The Servers are probed with adaptive control of time with two thresholds L and U to indicate the status of server load in terms of response time difference as low,medium and high load by the load balancing application.Fetching the real time responses of entire servers in the server farm is a key component of this intelligent Load balancing system.Many Load Balancing schemes are based on the graded thresholds,because the exact information about the networkflux is difficult to obtain.Using two thresholds L and U,it is possible to indicate the load on particular server as low,medium or high depending on the Maximum response time difference of the servers present in the server farm which is below L,between L and U or above U respectively.However,the existing works of load balancing in the server farm incorporatefixed time to measure real time response time,which in general are not optimal for all traffic conditions.Therefore,an algorithm based on Propor-tional Integration and Derivative neural network controller was designed with two thresholds for tuning the timing to probe the server for near optimal perfor-mance.The emulation results has shown a significant gain in the performance by tuning the threshold time.In addition to that,tuning algorithm is implemented in conjunction with Load Balancing scheme which does not tune thefixed time slots.展开更多

Usually, a certain length of hot steel strip is hung freely between the caster and rolling mill to deal with the effect of this speed difference. In this paper,the freely hanging hot steel strip is referred to as the free loop of hot steel strip. Accurately measuring and controlling the height of this free loop is the key factor in maintaining a stable casting operation. Several methods for measuring the loop height of a steel strip are discussed and a method for accurately measuring and controlling the free loop height of hot steel strip is presented. Based on the results of the casting loop quantity change curve, this control method is confirmed to be effective and able to meet the requirements of continuous casting strip production.展开更多

In ultra-dense networks(UDN),multiple association can be regarded as a user-centric pattern in which a user can be served by multiple base stations(BSs).The data rate and quality of service can be improved.However,BSs...In ultra-dense networks(UDN),multiple association can be regarded as a user-centric pattern in which a user can be served by multiple base stations(BSs).The data rate and quality of service can be improved.However,BSs in user-centric paradigm are required to serve more users due to this multiple association scheme.The improvement of system performance may be limited by the improving load of BSs.In this letter,we develope an analytical framework for the load distribution of BSs in heterogeneous user-centric UDN.Based on open loop power control(OLPC),a user-centric scheme is considered in which the clustered serving BSs can provide given signal to interference plus noise ratio(SINR)for any typical user.As for any BS in different tiers,by leveraging stochastic geometry,we derive the Probability Mass Function(PMF)of the number of the served users,the Cumulative Distribution Function(CDF)of total power consumption,and the CDF bounds of downlink sum data rate.The accuracy of the theoretical analysis is validated by numerical simulations,and the effect the system parameters on the load of BSs is also presented.展开更多
The control problem for the multivariable and nonlinear dynamics of unmanned aerial vehicles and micro-satellites is solved with the use of a flatness-based control approach which is implemented in successive loops.Th...The control problem for the multivariable and nonlinear dynamics of unmanned aerial vehicles and micro-satellites is solved with the use of a flatness-based control approach which is implemented in successive loops.The state-space model of(i)unmanned aerial vehicles and(ii)micro-satellites is separated into two subsystems,which are connected between them in cascading loops.Each one of these subsystems can be viewed independently as a differentially flat system and control about it can be performed with inversion of its dynamics as in the case of input–output linearized flat systems.The state variables of the second subsystem become virtual control inputs for the first subsystem.In turn,exogenous control inputs are applied to the first subsystem.The whole control method is implemented in two successive loops and its global stability properties are also proven through Lyapunov stability analysis.The validity of the control method is confirmed in two case studies:(a)control and trajectories tracking for the autonomous octocopter,(ii)control of the attitude dynamics of micro-satellites.展开更多

Using the input/output feedback linearization approach and Lyapunov method, a control law is designed, which guarantees that the system output exponentially tracks the given desired output. The proposed controller is easy to compute and complement. Usually, professors consider system safety with ...The wheel brake system safety is a complex problem which refers to its technical state, operating environment, human factors, etc., in aircraft landing taxiing process. Usually, professors consider system safety with traditional probability techniques based on the linear chain of events. However, it could not comprehensively analyze system safety problems, especially in operating environment, interaction of subsystems, and human factors. Thus,we consider system safety as a control problem based on the system-theoretic accident model, the processes(STAMP) model and the system theoretic process analysis(STPA) technique to compensate the deficiency of traditional techniques. Meanwhile,system safety simulation is considered as system control simulation, and Monte Carlo methods are used which consider the range of uncertain parameters and operation deviation to quantitatively study system safety influence factors in control simulation. Firstly,we construct the STAMP model and STPA feedback control loop of the wheel brake system based on the system functional requirement. Then four unsafe control actions are identified, and causes of them are analyzed. Finally, we construct the Monte Carlo simulation model to analyze different scenarios under disturbance. The results provide a basis for choosing corresponding process model variables in constructing the context table and show that appropriate brake strategies could prevent hazards in aircraft landing taxiing.展开更多

The A/F closed loop control system based on the simulation results, accompanied with a rare earth element TWC, gives a better efficiency of conversion against harmful emissions.

文摘This paper focuses on the H∞ controller design for linear systems with time-varying delays and norm-bounded parameter perturbations in the system state and control/disturbance. On the existence of delayed/undelayed full state feedback controllers, we present a sufficient condition and give a design method in the form of Riccati equation. The controller can not only stabilize the time-delay system, but also make the H∞ norm of the closed-loop system be less than a given bound. This result practically generalizes the related results in current literature.
文摘Web service applications are increasing tremendously in support of high-level businesses.There must be a need of better server load balancing mechanism for improving the performance of web services in business.Though many load balancing methods exist,there is still a need for sophisticated load bal-ancing mechanism for not letting the clients to get frustrated.In this work,the ser-ver with minimum response time and the server having less traffic volume were selected for the aimed server to process the forthcoming requests.The Servers are probed with adaptive control of time with two thresholds L and U to indicate the status of server load in terms of response time difference as low,medium and high load by the load balancing application.Fetching the real time responses of entire servers in the server farm is a key component of this intelligent Load balancing system.Many Load Balancing schemes are based on the graded thresholds,because the exact information about the networkflux is difficult to obtain.Using two thresholds L and U,it is possible to indicate the load on particular server as low,medium or high depending on the Maximum response time difference of the servers present in the server farm which is below L,between L and U or above U respectively.However,the existing works of load balancing in the server farm incorporatefixed time to measure real time response time,which in general are not optimal for all traffic conditions.Therefore,an algorithm based on Propor-tional Integration and Derivative neural network controller was designed with two thresholds for tuning the timing to probe the server for near optimal perfor-mance.The emulation results has shown a significant gain in the performance by tuning the threshold time.In addition to that,tuning algorithm is implemented in conjunction with Load Balancing scheme which does not tune thefixed time slots.

文摘In this paper, the nonlinear control of chaotic oscillations was investigated by using the input output linearization control method. The chaotic attitude of a kind of spacecraft was discussed. It is demonstrated that the input output linearization control law is the nonlinear version of the parametric open plus closed loop control law.
文摘In the twin-roll strip casting process, hot cast strips can be broken or tom if the casting speed does not match the rolling speed. Usually, a certain length of hot steel strip is hung freely between the caster and rolling mill to deal with the effect of this speed difference. In this paper,the freely hanging hot steel strip is referred to as the free loop of hot steel strip. Accurately measuring and controlling the height of this free loop is the key factor in maintaining a stable casting operation. Several methods for measuring the loop height of a steel strip are discussed and a method for accurately measuring and controlling the free loop height of hot steel strip is presented. Based on the results of the casting loop quantity change curve, this control method is confirmed to be effective and able to meet the requirements of continuous casting strip production.
文摘Through a third⁃order mathematical model of grid⁃oriented LCL⁃type converters,this paper analyzes the complicated dynamic characteristics and resonance problems which may influence the system stability.To realize active damping for LCL filters and improve dynamic performance of current regulators,a state space current PI controller is proposed whose parameters can be tuned based on the polynomial equations approach.An extended state observer is integrated with the regulation scheme,where additional sensors are not necessary in contrast with conventional active damping strategies.Synchronous reference frame PLL(SRF⁃PLL)equipped with filter technology is proposed for grid voltage disturbance suppression.This method is then applied to establish a double⁃closed⁃loop power regulator that demonstrates improved performance compared with other controllers.The simulation results are displayed to illustrate the efficiency of the regulation methods.

文摘In ultra-dense networks(UDN),multiple association can be regarded as a user-centric pattern in which a user can be served by multiple base stations(BSs).The data rate and quality of service can be improved.However,BSs in user-centric paradigm are required to serve more users due to this multiple association scheme.The improvement of system performance may be limited by the improving load of BSs.In this letter,we develope an analytical framework for the load distribution of BSs in heterogeneous user-centric UDN.Based on open loop power control(OLPC),a user-centric scheme is considered in which the clustered serving BSs can provide given signal to interference plus noise ratio(SINR)for any typical user.As for any BS in different tiers,by leveraging stochastic geometry,we derive the Probability Mass Function(PMF)of the number of the served users,the Cumulative Distribution Function(CDF)of total power consumption,and the CDF bounds of downlink sum data rate.The accuracy of the theoretical analysis is validated by numerical simulations,and the effect the system parameters on the load of BSs is also presented.
文摘The control problem for the multivariable and nonlinear dynamics of unmanned aerial vehicles and micro-satellites is solved with the use of a flatness-based control approach which is implemented in successive loops.The state-space model of(i)unmanned aerial vehicles and(ii)micro-satellites is separated into two subsystems,which are connected between them in cascading loops.Each one of these subsystems can be viewed independently as a differentially flat system and control about it can be performed with inversion of its dynamics as in the case of input–output linearized flat systems.The state variables of the second subsystem become virtual control inputs for the first subsystem.In turn,exogenous control inputs are applied to the first subsystem.The whole control method is implemented in two successive loops and its global stability properties are also proven through Lyapunov stability analysis.The validity of the control method is confirmed in two case studies:(a)control and trajectories tracking for the autonomous octocopter,(ii)control of the attitude dynamics of micro-satellites.
文摘The attitude tracking control problem for a satellite with parameter uncertainties and external disturbances is considered in this paper. For this class of multi-input multi-output uncertain nonlinear systems, a design method of robust output tracking controllers is proposed based on the upper-bounds of the uncertainties. Using the input/output feedback linearization approach and Lyapunov method, a control law is designed, which guarantees that the system output exponentially tracks the given desired output. The proposed controller is easy to compute and complement. Simulation results show that, in the closed-loop system, precise attitude control is accomplished in spite of the uncertainties in the system.
文摘The wheel brake system safety is a complex problem which refers to its technical state, operating environment, human factors, etc., in aircraft landing taxiing process. Usually, professors consider system safety with traditional probability techniques based on the linear chain of events. However, it could not comprehensively analyze system safety problems, especially in operating environment, interaction of subsystems, and human factors. Thus,we consider system safety as a control problem based on the system-theoretic accident model, the processes(STAMP) model and the system theoretic process analysis(STPA) technique to compensate the deficiency of traditional techniques. Meanwhile,system safety simulation is considered as system control simulation, and Monte Carlo methods are used which consider the range of uncertain parameters and operation deviation to quantitatively study system safety influence factors in control simulation. Firstly,we construct the STAMP model and STPA feedback control loop of the wheel brake system based on the system functional requirement. Then four unsafe control actions are identified, and causes of them are analyzed. Finally, we construct the Monte Carlo simulation model to analyze different scenarios under disturbance. The results provide a basis for choosing corresponding process model variables in constructing the context table and show that appropriate brake strategies could prevent hazards in aircraft landing taxiing.
