Nanomaterials have been widely applied to many fields because of their excellent photocatalytic performance.The performance is closely related to the catalytic kinetics,but it is not completely clear about the influencing regularities of shape and particle size on the photocatalytic kinetics of nanomaterials and the photocatalytic kinetic mechanism.In this paper,nano-CeO_(2)with different shapes and particle sizes were prepared,the kinetic parameters of adsorption and photocatalytic degradation were determined,and the effects of shape and particle size on the kinetics of adsorption and photocatalysis and photocatalytic mechanism were discussed.The results show that the shape and particle size have significant influences.With the decreases of diameter,the performances of adsorption and photocatalysis of nano-CeO_(2)are improved;and these performances of spherical nano-CeO_(2)are greater than those of linear nano-CeO_(2).The shape and particle size have no effects on the kinetic order and mechanism of the whole photocatalytic process.Then a generalized mechanism of photocatalytic kinetics of nanomaterials was proposed and the mechanism rate equation was derived.Finally,the conclusion can be drawn:the desorption of photodegradation products is the control step of photocatalytic kinetics,and the kinetic order of photocatalytic degradation reaction is 1.The mechanism is universal and all nanomaterials have the same photocatalytic kinetic mechanism and order. 展开更多

Particle size distribution of coarse aggregates through mechanical sieving gives results in terms of cumulative mass percent. But digital image processing generated size distribution of particles, while being fast and accurate, is often expressed in terms of area function or number of particles. In this paper, a mass model is developed which converts the image obtained size distribution to mass-wise distribution, making it readily comparable to mechanical sieving data. The concept of weight/particle ratio is introduced for mass reconstruction from 2D images of particle aggregates. Using this mass model, the effects of several particle shape parameters(such as major axis, minor axis, and equivalent diameter) on sieve-size of the particles is studied. It is shown that the sieve-size of a particle strongly depend upon the shape parameters, 91% of its variation being explained by major axis, minor axis, bounding box length and equivalent diameter. Furthermore, minor axis gives an overall accurate estimate of particle sieve-size, error in mean size(D-50) being just 0.4%. However, sieve-size of smaller particles(<20 mm) strongly depends upon the length of the smaller arm of the bounding box enclosing them and sieve-sizes of larger particles(>20 mm) are highly correlated to their equivalent diameters. Multiple linear regression analysis has been used to generate overall mass-wise particle size distribution, considering the influences of all these shape parameters on particle sieve-size. Multiple linear regression generated overall mass-wise particle size distribution shows a strong correlation with sieve generated data. The adjusted R-square value of the regression analysis is found to be 99 percent(w.r.t cumulative frequency). The method proposed in this paper provides a time-efficient way of producing accurate(up to 99%) mass-wise PSD using digital image processing and it can be used effectively to replace the mechanical sieving. 展开更多

The properties of the waste vary depending on the mineralogical contents of the mother rock in which the coal is embedded. The waste quality depends on the method of mining and cleaning. The waste mainly consists of clays, quartz, carbonaceous materials, mica, pyrites, and so on. About 80% of coal-ash is now utilized and the remainder is disposed of at disposal sites. However, the life span of disposal sites is limited, and it is difficult to find new disposal sites. It is therefore requested that the percentage of utilized flyash be increased in all applicable fields in Japan. Thus, it is very desirable that cement supplemented with flyash be used as injection material for natural/artificial openings. With this perspective in mind, we attempt to clarify how much the size and shape of the flyash affects the properties of the injection mixture by way of an injection test. 展开更多

An alternative method is proposed in this letter for describing the arbitrary shape and size for granules in 2D image.After image binarization, the edge points on contour are detected, by which the centroid of the shape in question is sought using the moment calculation.Using Principal Component Analysis(PCA), the major and minor diameters are computed.Based on the signature curve-fitting, the first-order derivative is taken so as to seek all the characteristic vertices.By connecting the vertices found, the simplified polygon is formed and utilized for shape and size descriptive purposes.The developed algorithm is run on two given real particle images, and the execution results indicate that the computed parameters can technically well describe the shape and size for the original particles, being able to provide a ready-to-use database for machine vision system to perform related data processing tasks. 展开更多

The control er is designed whose parameters are optimal y obtained through the improved particle swarm optimization algorithm. The parameters of the control er are viewed as the space position of a particle in particle swarm optimization algorithm and updated continual y until the control er makes the PDF of the state variable as close as possible to the expected PDF. The proposed PDF shape control technique is compared with the equivalent linearization technique through simulation experiments. The results show the superiority and the effectiveness of the proposed method. The control er is excellent in making the state PDF fol ow the expected PDF and has the very smal error between the state PDF and the expected PDF, solving the control problem of the PDF shape in stochastic systems effectively. 展开更多

To ensure uniformity in particle size and finer powder, a comparative analysis was conducted with different grinding aids and pressed pellet method was used in obtaining analysis results. Pressed pellets of cement raw meal sample milled with different grinding aids (graphite, aspirin and lithium borate) were subjected to XRF. Graphite produced better particle size uniformity with a corresponding standard deviation that made quality control of raw meal easier and better than aspirin and lithium borate. 展开更多

伴随分布式能源广泛接入低压配电网,其对配电网运行灵活性和消纳能力的要求不断提高。利用低压柔性互联装置将独立运行的低压配电台区分区互联,避免传统电压调节和无功补偿装置频繁动作。考虑到柔性互联装置造价昂贵,协同传统电压-无功... 伴随分布式能源广泛接入低压配电网,其对配电网运行灵活性和消纳能力的要求不断提高。利用低压柔性互联装置将独立运行的低压配电台区分区互联,避免传统电压调节和无功补偿装置频繁动作。考虑到柔性互联装置造价昂贵,协同传统电压-无功调节装置,文中提出低压柔性互联装置的选址定容规划方法。首先,分析低压柔性互联装置拓扑和运行方式,建立其潮流模型。其次,建立低压柔性互联装置优化配置的双层规划模型,上层规划以年综合费用最小为目标,下层规划考虑电压-无功协调控制时间序列模型,以运行成本和电压偏差最小为目标,基于粒子群优化算法和混合整数二阶锥规划算法交替求解,得出配电系统最优柔性互联方案和最优运行方式。最后,在IEEE 33节点系统上进行实例分析,验证该双层规划算法的有效性。结果表明,所提方法能有效减少柔性互联装置的过度布置,同时减少由分布式能源频繁波动造成的运行成本。将模型凸化并线性化的方法明显提高了求解效率。 展开更多
