To improve the control efficiency of Superconducting Electron Cyclotron Resonance Ion source (SECRAL) forHeavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou (HIRFL), a upgrade version of control system for SECRAL system wasdesigned and set up in September 2014. The control software package is developed by Visual C++, which is ableto control and monitor all of the equipment for the SECRAL system with about 130 parameters. The previousanalog powers are discarded and four digital high powers are used newly at high voltage platform, which containtwo stove powers, a bias voltage power, and a sputter power. Moreover, four servo motors are added newly, whichcontain work gas, support gas, bias voltage, and sputter voltage. Reflecting vacuum value picturesquely, we plot agraph of inject vacuum, elicit vacuum, and beam vacuum against time. In order to prevent the misoperation whichmay cause the quench of the superconducting magnet, alarm and interlock-protection functions are added to thesoftware and hardware. Simultaneously, added stretch buttons are able to void accidental on-click that might bringabout serious outcome. 展开更多

Virtually coupled train set control subject to space-time separation:A distributed economic MPC approach with emergency braking configuration

The emerging virtual coupling technology aims to operate multiple train units in a Virtually Coupled Train Set(VCTS)at a minimal but safe distance.To guarantee collision avoidance,the safety distance should be calculated using the state-of-the-art space-time separation principle that separates the Emergency Braking(EB)trajectories of two successive units during the whole EB process.In this case,the minimal safety distance is usually numerically calculated without an analytic formulation.Thus,the constrained VCTS control problem is hard to address with space-time separation,which is still a gap in the existing literature.To solve this problem,we propose a Distributed Economic Model Predictive Control(DEMPC)approach with computation efficiency and theoretical guarantee.Specifically,to alleviate the computation burden,we transform implicit safety constraints into explicitly linear ones,such that the optimal control problem in DEMPC is a quadratic programming problem that can be solved efficiently.For theoretical analysis,sufficient conditions are derived to guarantee the recursive feasibility and stability of DEMPC,employing compatibility constraints,tube techniques and terminal ingredient tuning.Moreover,we extend our approach with globally optimal and distributed online EB configuration methods to shorten the minimal distance among VCTS.Finally,experimental results demonstrate the performance and advantages of the proposed approaches. 展开更多

The stability margin is a vital indicator for assessing the safety level of aircraft control systems.It should maintain sufficient stability margin to ensure safety during flight,especially in the process of large maneuver operations.The stability margin is generally quantified by the Bode diagram,which strictly depends on the system parameters and the open-loop transfer function.However,due to the uncertain flight environments,transmission delays of sensors and mode switchings,etc.,there exist large parameter and structure uncertainties in the aircraft control systems,which make it difficult to precisely configure the stability margin to the desired value by the usual control methods.To address this problem,an indirect adaptive control strategy is proposed in this paper,where an adaptive PI control law with the capability of self-configuration of stability margin is developed.The developed control law not only achieves stable time-varying command tracking in the time domain,but also is able to automatically configure the phase margin and gain margin in the frequency domain.Finally,the simulation of the one-degree-of-freedom roll rate control model of the air vehicle verifies the validity of the proposed control method. 展开更多

It is found that double ratio control configuration, (L/D, V/B), is still the best one among all the possibilities. The control configuration,(Pr - Ps, q), appears to be a feasible one for the general HIDiC and the pressure difference between the rectifying and the stripping sections and feed thermal condition are expected to be consistent manipulative variables for the process. The performance of the general HIDiC can be substantially improved by employing effective multivariable control algorithms. 展开更多

The test results indicate that the system with friendly interface can be operated conveniently for automation management. With the expansion of network services,large-scale networks have progressively become common.The network status changes rapidly in response to customer needs and configuration changes,so network configuration changes are also very frequent.However,no matter what changes,the network must ensure the correct conditions,such as isolating tenants from each other or guaranteeing essential services.Once changes occur,it is necessary to verify the after-changed network.Whereas,for the verification of large-scale network configuration changes,many current verifiers show poor efficiency.In order to solve the problem ofmultiple global verifications caused by frequent updates of local configurations in large networks,we present a fast configuration updates verification tool,FastCUV,for distributed control planes.FastCUV aims to enhance the efficiency of distributed control plane verification for medium and large networks while ensuring correctness.This paper presents a method to determine the network range affected by the configuration change.We present a flow model and graph structure to facilitate the design of verification algorithms and speed up verification.Our scheme verifies the network area affected by obtaining the change of the Forwarding Information Base(FIB)before and after.FastCUV supports rich network attributes,meanwhile,has high efficiency and correctness performance.After experimental verification and result analysis,our method outperforms the state-of-the-art method to a certain extent. 展开更多

Due to soaring fuel prices and environmental concerns, hybrid electric vehicle(HEV) technology attracts more attentions in last decade. Energy management system, configuration of HEV and traffic conditions are the main factors which affect HEV's fuel consumption, emission and performance. Therefore, optimal management of the energy components is a key element for the success of a HEV. An optimal energy management system is developed for HEV based on genetic algorithm. Then, different powertrain system component combinations effects are investigated in various driving cycles. HEV simulation results are compared for default rule-based, fuzzy and GA-fuzzy controllers by using ADVISOR. The results indicate the effectiveness of proposed optimal controller over real world driving cycles. Also, an optimal powertrain configuration to improve fuel consumption and emission efficiency is proposed for each driving condition. Finally, the effects of batteries in initial state of charge and hybridization factor are investigated on HEV performance to evaluate fuel consumption and emissions. Fuel consumption average reduction of about 14% is obtained for optimal configuration data in contrast to default configuration. Also results indicate that proposed controller has reduced emission of about 10% in various traffic conditions. 展开更多

Retired power battery construction energy storage systems(ESSs)for echelon utilization can not only extend the remaining capacity value of the battery,and decrease environmental pollution,but also reduce the initial cost of energy storage systems.In this paper,an ESS constructed of retired power batteries for echelon utilization in microgrids(MGs)is considered.Firstly,considering the influence of different discharge depths on the battery life cycle,the correlation equation between the state of charge(SOC)and the state of health(SOH)is established.Secondly,the accelerated life test method,based on the inverse power law coefficient equation,is proposed,and it is used to evaluate the reliability of the ESS.Finally,according to the SOC characteristics,the dynamic security margin of the ESS is established.The life cycle cost,supply-demand balance and ESS balanced control are comprehensively considered,and the location and capacity of energy storage in MGs are determined.It is simulated using the IEEE-RTS 24 node system;the results show that the investment cost of the ESS is reduced and the operational life is prolonged. 展开更多

As aerospace vehicles travel in a hellish environment, the reliability of the measuring and controlling systems has played a critical role in the credibility of a whole airborne system. Embryo-electronic system is a bionic hardware capable of self-diagnosing and self-healing. This article presents a new approach to design embryo-electronic systems and introduces their bionic principles, system structures and fanlt-tolerant mechanism. As the current methods cannot meet the requirements for large-scale embryo-electronic systems, this article advances a new shift-register-based configuration memory of embryonic system to solve the problem by using the inter-cell communication to reduce the gene storage capacity of a single cell. The article designs an overall structure of the shift-register-based configuration memories of the embryonic system and connects them into a chain structure. The article also designs an inner circuit of the cell, the control of shift-register-based configuration memory and the way of runtime dynamic configuration. The simulation of field programmable gate array (FPGA) evidences the realizability of the proposed design. Compared to the SRAM-based one, this memory can save 90% of the area when constructing embryonic systems larger than 128× 128 under the same condition. 展开更多

The increase of energy consumption has caused power systems to operate close to the limit of their capacity.The distributed power flow controller(DPFC),as a new member of distributed flexible AC transmission systems,is introduced to remove this barrier.This paper proposes an optimal DPFC configuration method to enhance system loadability considering economic performance based on mixed integer linear programming.The conflicting behavior of system loadability and DPFC investment is analyzed and optimal solutions are calculated.Thereafter,the fuzzy decision-making method is implemented for determining the most preferred solution.In the most preferred solution obtained,the investment of DPFCs is minimized to find the optimal number,locations and set points.Simulation results on the IEEERTS79 system demonstrate that the proposed method is effective and reasonable. 展开更多

And its CARMA model was built. Two adaptive control schemes, the minimum variance self tuning control algorithm and the pole configuration self tuning control algorithm, were proposed. The former can make the variance of the output minimum while the latter can make dynamic behavior satisfying. The stability of the two schemes was analyzed. Simulations of them show that the acceleration in the vertical direction has been reduced greatly. The purpose of reducing vibration is realized. The two schemes can reduce the vibration in the suspension and have some practicability. 展开更多

Tracking the maximum power point is a critical issue with solar systems.The power output of the solar panel varies due to variations in irradiance and temperature.Nonuniform irradiation due to partial shading conditions has a direct impact on the characteristics of photovoltaic(PV)systems.To build a diversity of maximum power point tracking algorithms in solar PV systems,this work focuses on perturb and observe,incremental conductance,and fuzzy logic control methodologies.The suggested fuzzy logic control method outperformed the conventional incremental conductance and perturb and observe algorithms with a collection of 49 rules.This paper presents a novel series-parallel-cross-tied PV array configuration with a developed fuzzy methodology.To comment on the performance of a proposed system under various partial shading conditions,a series-parallel PV array configuration has been considered.The simulation result demonstrates that the fuzzy method has a percentage improvement in the global maximum power point tracking efficiency of 24.85%when compared to the perturb and observe method and a 65.5%improvement when compared to the incremental conductance method under long wide partial shading conditions.In the case of the middle partial shading condition,the fuzzy method has a percentage improvement in the global maximum power point tracking efficiency of 12.4%compared to the perturb and observe method and a 60.7%improvement compared to the incremental conductance method. 展开更多

The VCCP and VSCP were implemented by means of a graphical programming environment and network management so as to simplify the tasks of programming and maintaining the ICNs. The RSP was employed to perform the remote supervision function, which was based on a three-layer browser/server(B/S) structure mode.
