The cooling rate of grinding ball and its temperature distribution were also measured at the same time. It can be concluded that the bainitic zone of TTT curve is separated from the pearlitic zone. As compared to the water-quenching condition, more even cooling rate and temperature distribution can be achieved in the controlled cooling process. The controlled cooling can keep away from pearlitic zone in the high temperature cooling stage and produce similar results to the process of traditional isothermal cooling with a low cooling rate in the low temperature cooling stage.展开更多

In this paper, experimental specimens are prepared with a commercial linepipe steel grade X65, and the chemical compositions are (wt% ): Fe-0.094C-1.42Mn-0. 29Si-0. 045Nb-0. 008Ti. After heavy deformation with 80% reduction in non-recrystallization range of austenite, and at controlled cooling rates from 2K/s to 64K/s, the grain sizes vary from 9.55μm to 1.06μm.It is shown by the results that a linear relationship still remains between the yield strength and reciprocal of square root of ferrite grain size as grain size is refined to 1m.The ultra-fine grains might be dynam- ically formed through the deformation-induced transformation when reduction is large enough.The grain sizes decrease when the cooling rates increase.When the cooling rates increase over 10K/s, the grain sizes are rarely changed. The particles distribute on grain boundaries, sub-grain boundaries, deformed bands and within the ferrite grains.展开更多

Two tests initiated by unscrammed control rod withdrawal were performed on the High Temperature GasCooled Reactor-Test Module(HTR-10) in November 2003 after the reactor achieved its full power, and the test conditions...Two tests initiated by unscrammed control rod withdrawal were performed on the High Temperature GasCooled Reactor-Test Module(HTR-10) in November 2003 after the reactor achieved its full power, and the test conditions represented a typical transient scenario of modular high-temperature reactors(HTRs), called pressurized loss of forced cooling, and anticipated transient without scram.Based on the test parameters, the HTR-10 thermal behaviors under the test conditions were studied with the help of the system analysis code THERMIX. The combination of the test results and the investigation results makes the HTR-10 safety potential better understood. Key phenomena, such as the helium natural circulation and the temperature redistribution in the reactor, were revealed. As the safety feature of most significance, there is a large margin between the maximum fuel temperature and its safety limit in each test. Temperatures of thermocouples in different components were calculated by THERMIX and compared with the test values. The applicability of the code was verified by good agreement obtained from the comparison.展开更多

Secondly, the study of integral and differential control rod worth is presented in this paper while the control rod is inserted into reactor core and total worth of three rods with different positions are also calculated. Finally, the effect of the axial and radial neutron flux in reactor core which is caused by the control rods is simulated. In the first method, the reactor is made supcritical by inserting the control rod to be calibrated a certain level. The rod drop method is to determine the subcritical;at the critical state, the rod to be calibrated is dropped into the core, and the resulting decay of neutron flux is observed and related to the reactivity. In this paper, the regulating rod will be calibrated according to the reactivity in OPR-1000 that corresponds to a certain control rod insert or withdraw, and the reactivity in power reactor depends?on the integral and differential control rod group too. The theory of the kinetic technique of measuring reactivity has been used by this measurement system. The system comprises of indigenous hardware and software for online acquisition of neutron flux signals from reactor console and then computes the reactivity worth accordingly. Here for the TRIGA MARK-II research reactor, the reactivity measurement system was implemented with a dedicated circuit assembly and a conventional personal computer. A high-level Visual Basic real-time programming has been developed for data acquisition, reactivity calculation, online display (numerically as well as graphically), saving data, etc. To measure reactivity worth of TRIGA reactor control rods the rod drop experimental technique has been adopted. The results of tests experiments, carried out with the rod drop method for measuring various reactivity worth of control rods have been presented in the paper. A comparison between this results with the results using period method and that of computation method, demonstrated that the response of this reactivity measurement system is fast enough to monitor and measure the safety-related reactivity and power excursions in the reactor.展开更多

Fuzzy logic current control together with soft chopping control shows the best response of all the three strategies. It is assumed that the dynamics of a chaotic system are unknown and also the system is exposed to disturbance and unstructured uncertainty. To achieve a chattering-free and high-speed response for such an unknown system, an adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system is utilized in the next step to approximate the unknown part of the nonlinear dynamics. Then, the proposed integral terminal sliding mode controller stabilizes the approximated system based on Lyapunov's stability theory. In addition, a Bee algorithm is used to select the coefficients of integral terminal sliding mode controller to improve the performance of the proposed method. Simulation results demonstrate the improvement in the response speed, chattering rejection, transient response,and robustness against uncertainties.展开更多

Two examples are simulated to validate the model, and ...The flow past a primary cylinder with one tandem control rod and one staggered control rod is simulated in this paper through solving the Navier-Stokes equations. Two examples are simulated to validate the model, and the results matched well with those of previous researches. The Reynolds number based on the diameter of the primary cylinder is 500. The diameter ratio between the control rod and the primary cylinder (d/D) is 0.25. It was found that the effect of the combination of one upstream tandem control rod and one staggered control rod on the hydrodynamics of the primary cylinder is a linear superposition of the effect of a corresponding single control rod, and the effect of the upstream tandem control rod is dominant at larger spacing ratios such as G/D=2. For the combination of a downstream tandem control rod and a staggered control rod, the effect of the control rods is different from that of the corresponding single control rod in the region of 0.2〈G/D〈0.5 & 30°〈a〈120° and 0.9〈G/D〈1.4 & 30°〈a〈50°, where the additional effect is obvious. In this case, the effect of the downstream tandem control rod is dominant at small spacing ratios (such as G/D=0.1). At moderate spacing ratios such as G/D=0.4, the effects of the tandem control rod and the staggered control rod are comparable in both cases.展开更多
To address the two critical issues of evaluating the necessity of implementing cooling techniques and achieving real-time temperature control of drilling fluids underground in the current drilling fluid cooling techno...To address the two critical issues of evaluating the necessity of implementing cooling techniques and achieving real-time temperature control of drilling fluids underground in the current drilling fluid cooling technology,we first established a temperature and pressure coupled downhole heat transfer model,which can be used in both water-based and oil-based drilling fluid.Then,fourteen factors,which could affect wellbore temperature,were analyzed.Based on the standard deviation of the downhole temperature corresponding to each influencing factor,the influence of each factor was quantified.The influencing factors that can be used to guide the drilling fluid's cooling technology were drilling fluid thermal conductivity,drilling fluid heat capacity,drilling fluid density,drill strings rotation speed,pump rate,viscosity,ROP,and injection temperature.The nondominated sorting genetic algorithm was used to optimize these six parameters,but the optimization process took 182 min.Combining these eight parameters'influence rules with the nondominated sorting genetic algorithm can reduce the optimization time to 108 s.Theoretically,the downhole temperature has been demonstrated to increase with the inlet temperature increasing linearly under quasi-steady states.Combining this law and PID,the downhole temperature can be controlled,which can reduce the energy for cooling the surface drilling fluid and can ensure the downhole temperature reaches the set value as soon as possible.展开更多

There are many parameters can affect the growing of plants inside greenhouse, such as air temperature and relative humidity. The adjustment of these parameters is achieved by selecting appropriate control actions. This work proposes a controlling technique for greenhouse indoor temperature and relative humidity. The proposed greenhouse cooling system temperature controller is designed to adjust the air volume flow rate in pad-fan cooling system to fix the greenhouse indoor temperature at 20?C and 70% relative humidity. The designed control technique is realized to ensure the required and continuous operation of the greenhouse. Moreover, this work present, a complete mathematical modeling and simulation of cooling system is introduced. In addition, a computer model based on MATLAB SIMULINK software has been used to predict the temperature and relative humidity profiles inside the greenhouse. The results are realized the requirements of the greenhouse cooling system environment.展开更多

During the process of hot plate production,the homogeneous cooling along the length direction of plate was constrained by lots of factors. And because the speed was a flexible control parameter,the calculation method of optimal speed profile was developed based on the measured start cooling temperature and its matrix equation was solved by the Cholesky decomposition method. The optimal speed profile was used in online control system. As a result,the temperature distribution along the plate length direction was relatively uniform,and 95% of measured final cooling temperature difference from the target temperature 700 ℃ was controlled within ±20 ℃.展开更多

文摘To address the two critical issues of evaluating the necessity of implementing cooling techniques and achieving real-time temperature control of drilling fluids underground in the current drilling fluid cooling technology,we first established a temperature and pressure coupled downhole heat transfer model,which can be used in both water-based and oil-based drilling fluid.Then,fourteen factors,which could affect wellbore temperature,were analyzed.Based on the standard deviation of the downhole temperature corresponding to each influencing factor,the influence of each factor was quantified.The influencing factors that can be used to guide the drilling fluid's cooling technology were drilling fluid thermal conductivity,drilling fluid heat capacity,drilling fluid density,drill strings rotation speed,pump rate,viscosity,ROP,and injection temperature.The nondominated sorting genetic algorithm was used to optimize these six parameters,but the optimization process took 182 min.Combining these eight parameters'influence rules with the nondominated sorting genetic algorithm can reduce the optimization time to 108 s.Theoretically,the downhole temperature has been demonstrated to increase with the inlet temperature increasing linearly under quasi-steady states.Combining this law and PID,the downhole temperature can be controlled,which can reduce the energy for cooling the surface drilling fluid and can ensure the downhole temperature reaches the set value as soon as possible.

文摘According to thermodynamics and kinetics of phase transformation,a mathematical model of phase transformation was proposed,and the microstructure evolution of an 82B rod at different cooling rates was simulated by using the FEM software Marc/Mentat,based on the measurement of time-temperature transformation(TTT)curves of the 82B rod.The simulated results were in good agreement with the actual measurements.From the results of computer simulation it was found that the cooling rate of the 82B rod,after laying,should be controlled within 5-8 ℃/s.In the microstructure of rod there were over 95% of pearlite volume fraction and a small quantity of dispersive martensite(less than 5%).
文摘Greenhouses are used for the main purpose of improving the environmental conditions in which plants are grown. There are many parameters can affect the growing of plants inside greenhouse, such as air temperature and relative humidity. The adjustment of these parameters is achieved by selecting appropriate control actions. This work proposes a controlling technique for greenhouse indoor temperature and relative humidity. The proposed greenhouse cooling system temperature controller is designed to adjust the air volume flow rate in pad-fan cooling system to fix the greenhouse indoor temperature at 20?C and 70% relative humidity. The designed control technique is realized to ensure the required and continuous operation of the greenhouse. Moreover, this work present, a complete mathematical modeling and simulation of cooling system is introduced. In addition, a computer model based on MATLAB SIMULINK software has been used to predict the temperature and relative humidity profiles inside the greenhouse. The results are realized the requirements of the greenhouse cooling system environment.
文摘The healthy and rapid development of the controlled cooling technology was hampered by the uneven cooling phenomenon. During the process of hot plate production,the homogeneous cooling along the length direction of plate was constrained by lots of factors. And because the speed was a flexible control parameter,the calculation method of optimal speed profile was developed based on the measured start cooling temperature and its matrix equation was solved by the Cholesky decomposition method. The optimal speed profile was used in online control system. As a result,the temperature distribution along the plate length direction was relatively uniform,and 95% of measured final cooling temperature difference from the target temperature 700 ℃ was controlled within ±20 ℃.
