The proposed TDC is based on pulse shrinking, and implemented in a Field Programmable Gate Array(FPGA) device. The pulse shrinking is realized in a loop containing two Programmable Delay Lines(PDLs) or a two-channel PDL. One line(channel) delays the rising edge and the other line(channel) delays the falling edge of a circulating pulse. Delay resolution of PDL is converted into a digital output code under known conditions of pulse width. This delay resolution measurement mechanism is different from the conventional time interval measurement mechanism based on pulse shrinking of conversion of unknown pulse width into a digital output code. This mechanism automatically avoids the influence of unwanted pulse shrinking by any circuit element apart from the lines. The achieved relative errors for four PDLs are within 0.80%–1.60%.展开更多

To feed those lines and to have an effective digital data transmission, a power electronic converter referred as Modified Negative Luo Converter (MNLC) is proposed in this paper. MNLC is a high gain converter in which the output voltage increases in geometric progression. This paper portrays a novel concept of a 50 Hz pulse data transmission through RLCG (Resistance-inductance-capacitance with a shunt conductance) transmission line using MNLC. Signal frequency of 50 Hz to be transmitted is anded with a high frequency pulse that charges and discharges MNLC and produces the boosted negative output voltage. The boosted output is again transmitted through the RLCG transmission line from which 50 Hz data pulse is retrieved at the output of the transmission line by comparing with a comparator signal. This sort of MNLC aided data transmission not only introduces less loss in its transmitted data but also overcomes various health hazards of conventional radio frequency (RF) communication. This technique also proves that any data bit stream can be transmitted and retrieved using the proposed high gain DC-DC converter. The simulation model of the proposed system is implemented in MATLAB for various switching frequencies with its prototype of the converter developed and the results are verified.展开更多

The variable polarity current which crossed zero with no dead time possessed the ultrafast converting speed and the series of ultrasonic pulse current were superimposed in the positive polarity current duration. A high-efficiency hybrid pulse variable polarity gas tungsten arc welding (HPVP-GTAW)process for aluminum alloys was achieved. With X-ray inspection, microstructure analysis, tensile tests and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) for fracture surface, the square butt welding cbaracteristics of 5A06, 2A14 and 2219 aluminum alloys were tested, respectively. Experimental results show that microstructure and mechanical properties of these aluminum alloy welded joints are influenced significantly by the introduction of ultrasonic pulse current. The weld quality is improved predominantly by the novel HPVP-GTA W process.展开更多

Compared with foreign mid-range and high-end products, China’s development in this field is relatively lagging behind and lacks mature mid-range and high-end products. The reason is not only because of lack of theoretical support, but more importantly, in the pursuit of indicators and design, the electromagnetic compatibility of the equipment has not been studied thoroughly, resulting in a large degree of distortion in the output waveform, resulting in a reduction in actual value. This paper introduces the sources of high-power pulsed electromagnetic interference of the main driving source, conducts a reasonable high-power electromagnetic compatibility driving source dynamic analysis, and proposes measures to improve electromagnetic compatibility.展开更多
