The method mainly involves two steps of the preparation of silver-coated glass microsphere core–shell particles by a controllable liquid reduced reaction of Ag[(NH3)2]+ solution, which only produces silver nanoparticles anchored on the surface of the thiolated glass microsphere templates, and the removal of glass microspheres by wet chemical etching with HF solution. The products are well characterized by field emitted scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmitted electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray photoelectron spectra (XPS), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) etc. The as-prepared core-shell particles and hollow particles have even and compact silver shells. The electromagnetic shielding coatings based on the silver hollow microspheres are demonstrated to have high conductivity, excellent shielding effectiveness and long durability, suggesting that the silver hollow microspheres obtained here are a novel light-weight electromagnetic shielding filler and will have extensive applications in the electromagnetic compatibility fields.展开更多

The results of characteristic experiments demonstrated that Fe3 O4@mTiO2-AIPA had good dispersability, high magnetic susceptibility, and satisfactory grafting ratio of AIPA, ascribed to the large specific surface area of the inorganic substrate. Taking advantages of these features, Fe3 O4@mTiO2-AIPA was successfully utilized to separate α-casein(a typical phosphoprotein) and bovine serum albumin(BSA, a typical non-phosphoprotein) from their mixtures(molar ratio = 1:2). Through adjusting pH and polarity of solutions, the BSA and α-casein were respectively enriched in washing fraction and elution fraction. The asymmetry of the top and bottom electrodes introduces novel electrostatic screening on LSMO/PZT interface. As electric polarization is switched between upward and downward orientations, the evolution of exchange bias, diode transport, and magnetoresistance is observed. The result implies the electrostatic switch of magnetic core-shell in the present film. In detail, as the spontaneous polarization is upward or downward in the PZT matrix, the ferromagnetic/antiferromagnetic or ferromagnetic/ferromagnetic core-shell structure is formed in LSMO granule, respectively. In our experiment, the thickness of Ni shell can be effectively tuned through the etching time of templates. The core-shell structure was confirmed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern elucidates the co-existence of characteristic peaks for both Cu and Ni, indicating no other phases were formed during preparation. Magnetic hysteresis loops measured via vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM) revealed that Cu-Ni core-shell nanowires with thinner Ni shell exhibited obviously diamagnetic character and together with a weak ferromagnetic activity, whereas ferromagnetic behavior was primarily measured for the wires with thicker Ni shell. With increasing Ni shell thickness, the squareness and coercivity value became smaller due to the shape anisotropy and the formation of multi-domain structure.展开更多

文摘Magnetic Fe304 nanoparticles were synthesized by co-precipitation method and the mercaptopurine (MER) drug-loaded magnetic microspheres were obtained through emulsion cross-linking methods. The efficiency of this approach was evaluated in terms of drug loading content (DLC), encapsulation efficiency (EE) and delivery properties in vitro, determined by high performance liquid chromatograph (HPLC). The microspheres showed good DLC values of 11.8%, as well as good EE values of 79.4%. The in vitro drug release study was carried out in phosphate buffer solution (PBS) simulated body fluid, at 37 ~C with pH=7.4. The release profiles showed an initial fast release rate, which decreased as time progressed and about 84 % had been released after 48 h. The experimental results indicated that the prepared magnetic microspheres may be useful for potential applications of MER for magnetically targeted chemotherapy.

文摘Non-porous superparamagnetic polymer microspheres with epoxy groups were prepared by dispersion polymerization of glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) in the presence of magnetic iron oxide (Fe3O4) nanoparticles coated with oleic acid. The polymerization was carried out in the ethanol/water medium using polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and 2,2’-azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN) as stabilizer and initiator, respectively. The magnetic microspheres obtained were characterized with scanning electron microscopy (SEM), vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The results showed that the magnetic microspheres had an average size of-1μm with superparamagnetic characteristics. The saturation magnetization was found to be 4.5emu.g-1. There was abundance of epoxy groups with density of 0.028 mmol·g^-1 in microspheres. The magnetic PGMA microspheres have extensive potential uses in magnetic bioseparation and biotechnology.

文摘Magnetic starch microspheres(AAM-MSM)were synthesized via an inverse emulsion graft copolymerization by using mechanically activated cassava starch(MS)as a crude material, acrylic acid(AA)and acrylamide(AM)as graft copolymer monomers, and methyl methacrylate(MMA)as the dispersing agent and used as an adsorbent for the removal of Cd(Ⅱ)ions from aqueous solution.Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),and vibrating sample magnetometry(VSM)were used to characterize the AAM-MSM adsorbent. The results indicated that AA,AM,and MMA were grafted to the MS,and the Fe_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles were encapsulated in the AAM-MSM adsorbent microspheres. The adsorbent exhibited a smooth surface, uniform size, and good sphericity because of the addition of the MMA and provided more adsorption sites for the Cd(Ⅱ)ions. The maximum adsorption capacity of Cd(Ⅱ)on the AAM-MSM was 39.98 mg·g^(-1).The adsorbents were superparamagnetic, and the saturation magnetization was 16.7 A·m^(2)·kg^(-1).Additionally,the adsorption isotherms and kinetics of the adsorption process were further investigated. The process of Cd(Ⅱ)ions adsorbed onto the AAM-MSM could be described more favorably by the pseudo-second-order kinetic and Langmuir isothermal adsorption models, which suggested that the chemical reaction process dominated the adsorption process for the Cd(Ⅱ)and chemisorption was the rate-controlling step during the Cd(Ⅱ)removal process.

文摘The targeting of antineoplastic agents to restricted anatomic sites and specific target cells have been challenged clinicians all the time in cancer chemotherapy, which resulted in recent efforts to focus the effects of existing antitumor agents and treatments on tumor cells and spare their effects on normal cells. The drug-carrier complex, adriamycin carried by magnetic albumin microspheres (ADM-MAM) was prepared by using our discovered new and modified method. The physical feature of the prepared drug-carrier microspheres was much better than by the traditional method in comparison. The successful preparation of the drug-carrier complex, ADM-MAM, is one of the key steps for our later further researches in the targeted chemotherapy.

文摘A facile and large-scale synthesis method to fabricate silver hollow microspheres with controllable morphologies and shell thickness is described using low-cost glass microspheres as templates. The electromagnetic shielding coatings based on the silver hollow microspheres are demonstrated to have high conductivity, excellent shielding effectiveness and long durability, suggesting that the silver hollow microspheres obtained here are a novel light-weight electromagnetic shielding filler and will have extensive applications in the electromagnetic compatibility fields.

文摘A novel phosphoprotein separation material was developed, which is constructed by a magnetic mesoporous Fe3 O4@TiO2(Fe3 O4@mTiO2) microsphere and a 5-aminoisophthalic acid(AIPA) monolayer that provides additional binding sites toward phosphate groups. This result displays the good potential of Fe3 O4@mTiO2-AIPA for application in phosphoprotein enrichment.

文摘Amphiphilic magnetic microspheres consisting of styrene and poly(ethylene oxide) macromonomer(MPEO) were prepared by dispersion copolymerization in the presence of Fe_3O_4 magnetic fluid in an ethanol/water medium. The sizes of the magnetic microspheres and their distribution were characterized by means of scanning electron microscopy(SEM). The surface morphology and the average surface roughness of the microspheres were investigated by virtue of atomic force microscopy(AFM). It was found that the microspheres exhibit microscopic phase-separate and the mean square surface roughness of the microspheres increases with increasing MPEO used in the copolymerization. The amphiphilic magnetic microspheres containing 0 4-3 5 mg/g hydroxyl groups could be prepared from MPEO with different concentrations and styrene.

文摘By dispersing La1-xSrxMnO3 (LSMO) granule into PbZrxTi1-xO3 (PZT) matrix, the 0-3 type LSMO/PZT composite film is synthesized through chemical solution method. This work would develop a novel device for spintronics and metamaterial.

文摘Cu-Ni core-shell nanowires, with an inner Cu core diameter of about 60 nm and varying Ni shell thicknesses (10, 30, 50, 60, and 80 nm), were successfully fabricated in porous polycarbonate (PC) ion- track templates by a two-step etching and electrodeposition method. With increasing Ni shell thickness, the squareness and coercivity value became smaller due to the shape anisotropy and the formation of multi-domain structure.

文摘Magnetic alumina composite microspheres with γ-Fe 2 O 3 core/Al 2 O 3 shell structure were prepared by the oil column method. A dense silica layer was deposited on the surface of γ-Fe 2 O 3 particles (denoted as γ-Fe 2 O 3 /SiO 2 ) with a desired thickness to protect the iron oxide core against acidic or high temperature conditions. γ-Fe 2 O 3 /SiO 2 /Al 2 O 3 particles with about 85 wt% Al 2 O 3 were obtained and showed to be suitable for practical applications as a magnetic catalyst or catalyst support due to their magnetic properties and pore structure. The products were characterized with scanning electron microscope (SEM) and transmission electron microscope (TEM), nitrogen adsorption-desorption, and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). The specific surface area and pore volume of the γ-Fe 2 O 3 /SiO 2 /Al 2 O 3 composite microspheres calcined at 500 ? C were 200 m 2 /g and 0.77 cm 3 /g, respectively.
