Doppler effect widely exists in the signal from the moving acoustic source. In order to solve such problems as frequency shift and frequency band expansion, a time domain cor- rection method is presented in this paper. First, the discrete time vector for interpolation and the amplitude restoration formula is derived based on the moving relationship and the Morse acoustic theory, then the amplitude weights are corrected and the distortion signal is interpolated. Every point of the discrete signal is operated separately in time domain. Compared with the existing frequency domain methods, this method does not need to know the characteristic frequency beforehand and would not be influenced by the blending of the frequency band. Hence, this method can be employed to correct multiple frequency signals and it is also a simple and effective Doppler effect reduction method. 展开更多

Ignoring the influence of flow velocity and flow temperature on muffling performance, performance tests were conducted without airflow in the development phase of the muffler which accounts to the difficulty of obtaining a perfect match between the actual noise reduction effect and the design goal.Based on the two-load test theory,a set of high-temperature and high-speed airflow simulation measurement devices for the muffler has been built. In order to avoid the impact of high-temperature and high-speed airflow on the sensor,a high temperature resistant sensor holder has been designed for the test rig.The sound pressure has been measured in the pipe by using the lead-out measurement. In addition,a variable impedance load is placed at the end of the test tube to realize the switch between two different impedance loads by the wave handle of the variable impedance load.A sound source correction method is proposed to decrease the random fluctuation of the spectral characteristics of the output noise signal, which is caused by the acoustic impedance variation at the connection between the transition pipeline and the combined sound source system. Finally,an acoustic software has been used to calculate the transmission loss of the muffler in the presence of high temperature airflow. In comparing the experimental measurements and the simulation results, the small difference shows that:the bench not only can effectively simulate high-temperature and flow velocity environment of the engine but also accurately test the transmission loss of the muffler. 展开更多

This paper proposes a flux mapping method directly using the higher order harmonics (HOH) of the neutronics equation of the nominal core. The bi-orthogonality and completeness of the HOH set are studied. and they are the theoretical basis for the flux mapping method. Using the bi-orthogonality of HOH and the strict formula for eigenvalue estimation. the process and formulas for HOH calculation called as the source iteration method with source correction are derived. The analysis can predict any order of harmonics for 2-or 3-dimensional geometries.Preliminary verification of the capability for flux mapping is also given. and other applications of HOH for reactor operation analysis and failure diagnosis are underway. 展开更多
