Under the scenario of dense targets in clutter, a multi-layer optimal data correlation algorithm is proposed. This algorithm eliminates a large number of false location points from the assignment process by rough correlations before we calculate the correlation cost, so it avoids the operations for the target state estimate and the calculation of the correlation cost for the false correlation sets. In the meantime, with the elimination of these points in the rough correlation, the disturbance from the false correlations in the assignment process is decreased, so the data correlation accuracy is improved correspondingly. Complexity analyses of the new multi-layer optimal algorithm and the traditional optimal assignment algorithm are given. Simulation results show that the new algorithm is feasible and effective. 展开更多

Improved picture quality is critical to the effectiveness of object recog-nition and tracking.The consistency of those photos is impacted by night-video systems because the contrast between high-profile items and different atmospheric conditions,such as mist,fog,dust etc.The pictures then shift in intensity,colour,polarity and consistency.A general challenge for computer vision analyses lies in the horrid appearance of night images in arbitrary illumination and ambient envir-onments.In recent years,target recognition techniques focused on deep learning and machine learning have become standard algorithms for object detection with the exponential growth of computer performance capabilities.However,the iden-tification of objects in the night world also poses further problems because of the distorted backdrop and dim light.The Correlation aware LSTM based YOLO(You Look Only Once)classifier method for exact object recognition and deter-mining its properties under night vision was a major inspiration for this work.In order to create virtual target sets similar to daily environments,we employ night images as inputs;and to obtain high enhanced image using histogram based enhancement and iterative wienerfilter for removing the noise in the image.The process of the feature extraction and feature selection was done for electing the potential features using the Adaptive internal linear embedding(AILE)and uplift linear discriminant analysis(ULDA).The region of interest mask can be segmen-ted using the Recurrent-Phase Level set Segmentation.Finally,we use deep con-volution feature fusion and region of interest pooling to integrate the presently extremely sophisticated quicker Long short term memory based(LSTM)with YOLO method for object tracking system.A range of experimentalfindings demonstrate that our technique achieves high average accuracy with a precision of 99.7%for object detection of SSAN datasets that is considerably more than that of the other standard object detection mechanism.Our approach may therefore satisfy the true demands of night scene target detection applications.We very much believe that our method will help future research. 展开更多

A predictive search algorithm to estimate the size and direction of displacement vectors was presented.The algorithm decreased the time of calculating the displacement of each pixel.In addition,the updating reference image scheme was used to update the reference image and to decrease the computation time when the displacement was larger than a certain number.In this way,the search range and computational complexity were cut down,and less EMS memory was occupied.The capability of proposed search algorithm was then verified by the results of both computer simulation and experiments.The results showed that the algorithm could improve the efficiency of correlation method and satisfy the accuracy requirement for practical displacement measuring. 展开更多

Global look-up table strategy proposed recently has been proven to be an efficient method to accelerate the interpolation, which is the most time-consuming part in the iterative sub-pixel digital image correlation (DIC) algorithms. In this paper, a global look-up table strategy with cubic B-spline interpolation is developed for the DIC method based on the inverse compositional Gauss-Newton (IC-GN) algorithm. The performance of this strategy, including accuracy, precision, and computation efficiency, is evaluated through a theoretical and experimental study, using the one with widely employed bicubic interpolation as a benchmark. The global look-up table strategy with cubic B-spline interpolation improves significantly the accuracy of the IC-GN algorithm-based DIC method compared with the one using the bicubic interpolation, at a trivial price of computation efficiency. 展开更多

Block-in-matrix-soils(bimsoils)are geological mixtures that have distinct structures consisting of relatively strong rock blocks and weak matrix soils.It is still a challenge to evaluate the mechanical behaviors of bimsoils because of the heterogeneity,chaotic structure,and lithological variability.As a result,only very limited laboratory studies have been reported on the evolution of their internal deformation.In this study,the deformation evolution of bimsoils under uniaxial loading is investigated using real-time X-ray computed tomography(CT)and image correlation algorithm(with a rock block percentage(RBP)of 40%).Three parameters,i.e.heterogeneity coefficient(K),correlation coefficient(CC),and standard deviation(STD)of displacement fields,are proposed to quantify the heterogeneity of the motion of the rock blocks and the progressive deformation of the bimsoils.Experimental results show that the rock blocks in bimsoils are prone to forming clusters with increasing loading,and the sliding surface goes around only one side of a cluster.Based on the movement of the rock blocks recorded by STD and CC,the progressive deformation of the bimsoils is quantitatively divided into three stages:initialization of the rotation of rock blocks,formation of rock block clusters,and formation of a shear band by rock blocks with significant rotation.Moreover,the experimental results demonstrate that the meso-motion of rock blocks controls the macroscopic mechanical properties of the samples. 展开更多

Apple leaf disease is one of the main factors to constrain the apple production and quality.It takes a long time to detect the diseases by using the traditional diagnostic approach,thus farmers often miss the best time to prevent and treat the diseases.Apple leaf disease recognition based on leaf image is an essential research topic in the field of computer vision,where the key task is to find an effective way to represent the diseased leaf images.In this research,based on image processing techniques and pattern recognition methods,an apple leaf disease recognition method was proposed.A color transformation structure for the input RGB(Red,Green and Blue)image was designed firstly and then RGB model was converted to HSI(Hue,Saturation and Intensity),YUV and gray models.The background was removed based on a specific threshold value,and then the disease spot image was segmented with region growing algorithm(RGA).Thirty-eight classifying features of color,texture and shape were extracted from each spot image.To reduce the dimensionality of the feature space and improve the accuracy of the apple leaf disease identification,the most valuable features were selected by combining genetic algorithm(GA)and correlation based feature selection(CFS).Finally,the diseases were recognized by SVM classifier.In the proposed method,the selected feature subset was globally optimum.The experimental results of more than 90%correct identification rate on the apple diseased leaf image database which contains 90 disease images for there kinds of apple leaf diseases,powdery mildew,mosaic and rust,demonstrate that the proposed method is feasible and effective. 展开更多

The new algorithms do not involve reasonable initial guess of displacement and deformation gradient and the calculation of second-order spatial derivatives of the digital images, which are important challenges in practical implementation of DISC. The performance of a GA depends largely on the selection of the genetic operators. We test various operators and propose optimal operators. It simplifies the algorithms used in traditional computer vision system by eliminating the calculation of the CCD (charge coupled device) camera parameters and the relative position between cameras, and using solid geometry in the calculation procedures instead of the calculation of the complex matrixes. The algorithm was used in the research of generating a virtual magnified 3D image of a micro object to be operated in a micro operation system, and the satisfactory results were obtained. The researches on spectral amplitude correlation between successive frames based on MBE (Multi-Band Excitation) are presented and a new MBE coding algorithm of muitimodels is proposed. It has been shown that the magnitude spectrum in MBE coding algorithm can be estimated in very high accuracy by using a simple linear predictive model of the spectral amplitude correlation between successive frames. This model employs oniy one gain coefficient and one predictive coefficient. The accuracy of estimated magnitude spectrum in this model is higher than that of the conventional MBE algorithm using the 10-th order LPC (Linear Predictive Coding) Inodel without the spectral amplitude correlation between successlve frames.This model is superior to the conventional MBE coding model in volced speech, but it is iess effective in unvoiced speech, so that the conventional MBE coding algorithm is still used for unvoiced speech. It is seriously interfered by ship noise when analyzing and extracting broadband spark sound source signal. In the energy concentrated domain which is below 5 kHz, the traditional scale correlation filtering algorithm, which is based on adjacent-scale correlation, has limited anti-interference ability due to the low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and similar Lipschitz exponent characteristic of each other. However, because different frequency bands of the broadband electric spark signal have different noise interferences, the filtering algorithm based on adjacent-scale correlation is adapted to high SNR and small-scale high-frequency wavelet coefficients filtering; the filtering algorithm based on cross-scale correlation is adapted to low SNR and large-scale low-frequency wavelet coefficients filtering, and the threshold coefficient selection method had been corrected in the algorithm. It is shown that the filtering algorithm has a good filtering effect and extracts the broadband spark sound source signal effectively; it is applicable to broadband underwater acoustic signM processing in the presence of narrow-band strong interference background noise. 展开更多

The reconfigurable manufacturing system (RMS) is the next step in manufacturing, allowing the production of any quantity of highly customized and complex parts together with the benefits of mass production. In RMSs, parts are grouped into families, each of which requires a specific system configuration. Initially system is configured to produce the first family of parts. Once it is finished, the system will be reconfigured in order to produce the second family, and so forth. The effectiveness of a RMS depends on the formation of the optimum set of part families addressing various recon figurability issues. The aim of this work is to establish a methodology for grouping parts into families for effective working of RMS. The methodology carried out in two phases. In the first phase, the correlation matrix is used as similarity coefficient matrix. In the second phase, agglomerative hier archical Kmeans algorithm is used for the parts family for mation resulting in an optimum set of part families for reconfigurable manufacturing system. 展开更多

Aiming at mitigating multipath effect in dynamic global positioning system (GPS) satellite navigation applications, an approach based on channel blind equalization and real-time recursive least square (RLS) algorithm is proposed, which is an application of the wireless communication channel equalization theory to GPS receiver tracking loops. The blind equalization mechanism builds upon the detection of the correlation distortion due to multipath channels; therefore an increase in the number of correlator channels is required compared with conventional GPS receivers. An adaptive estimator based on the real-time RLS algorithm is designed for dynamic estimation of multipath channel response. Then, the code and carrier phase receiver tracking errors are compensated by removing the estimated multipath components from the correlators' outputs. To demonstrate the capabilities of the proposed approach, this technique is integrated into a GPS software receiver connected to a navigation satellite signal simulator, thus simulations under controlled dynamic multipath scenarios can be carried out. Simulation results show that in a dynamic and fairly severe multipath environment, the proposed approach achieves simultaneously instantaneous accurate multipath channel estimation and significant multipath tracking errors reduction in both code delay and carrier phase. 展开更多
