In this paper, using the research methods of documentation, courseware development, teaching experiment and mathematical statistics, we study on the making and application of college aerobics network teaching courseware. It is revealed that, with the combination of modem network technology and college aerobics teaching, the resulted college aerobics network teaching courseware is the important media to not only upgrades college aerobics teaching quality, but also help develop students' habits of doing physical exercise, and promote physical health. A method of communication among several nodes in the network is presented which uses low level network protocol and solves the problem of transmitting image from one node to many nodes by network on real time. In this environment, teacher’s machine, student’s and a server are connected by high speed ether net. Under the control of the system, the teacher can lock student’s keyboard, transmit text or image screen among students, build a electronic cursor on student’s screen and move it, assign exercises or gather student’s answers. The student also can put question to the teacher, talk with other students by electronic phone, etc. The system is to use network and multimedia technique to build a distributed instruction environment.
