Research on the Status Quo and High-Quality Development of Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education in China

Faced with unprecedented changes in the world,China has chosen to continue expanding its opening-up and actively cooperate with other countries.Internationalization of education is one of the important directions for the future development of universities.Since the reform and opening-up,a series of Sino-foreign cooperative education policies have been successively released,forming a relatively systematic and complete policy system.Under the promotion of policies,Chinese universities actively engage in Sino-foreign cooperative education,with increasingly frequent educational exchanges and a clear trend towards internationalization.The scale of Sino-foreign cooperative education is also constantly expanding.It is worthy to explore how to draw on advanced teaching experience from overseas,continue to promote Sino-foreign cooperative education,and improve the quality of Sino-foreign cooperative education.

Exploration and Consideration of the Development of Sino-foreign Cooperation of Higher Education——A Comparative Analysis Perspective Based on the Data of Municipal Universities of Wuhan, Hubei Province and China

With the tide of economic globalization and the practice of“One Belt and One Road”Initiative,Sino-foreign cooperation has gradually become one of the effective ways to improve the quality of higher education.This paper based on the statistics and analysis of the data released by the Ministry of Education’s foreign-related supervision information platform,combining with the actual investigation and research on the situation of Sino-foreign cooperation of higher education in municipal universities of Wuhan,has found that the Sino-foreign cooperation programs commonly have problems of non-standardized enrollment of students,insufficient quality of teachers and teaching qualities,and lack of core competitiveness.Therefore,it is essential to upgrade the level of foreign cooperative institutions and the standards of students’recruitment,optimize the curriculum,pay attention to the public welfare of education,improve the teaching model,improve the level of teachers,so as to truly realize the original intention of Sino-foreign cooperation in municipal universities of Wuhan.

China-Arab Higher Education Cooperation:History and Current Situation

Education cooperation is an important channel to open up multi-cooperation among the world,an inevitable product of information development,and strong support for the operation of globalization.The cooperation between China and Arab countries began with trade contact and became firmly established with the promotion of bilateral education cooperation.The ancient Silk Road had laid a solid foundation for the friendship between China and Arab nations.The“Belt and Road”Initiative proposed in the new era has strengthened mutual understanding and recognition.As one of the important parts of the education system,higher education plays a leading role in the globalization of education,and also the most important embodiment of China-Arab education cooperation.This paper will review China-Arab higher education cooperation from the historical level and current situation,to analyze the existing problems and its future development trend.

A Study on English Reading Teaching With Cooperative Learning By Means of Task-Based Teaching in Higher Vocational Education

Higher Vocational Education(HVE) is an important component of higher education in our country.The English Curriculum Standard of HVE considers promoting the students' reading comprehension as one of the most important goals in English teaching.Task-based CL emphasizes the importance of education as a vehicle for teaching citizens to live cooperatively in a social democracy and teachers are not the only sources of knowledge and students should be able to help each other and learn in an interdependent way.The heart of cooperative learning is student-centered.Therefore,task-based CL can overcome the shortcomings in traditional teaching models,and the goal of improving reading comprehension can be achieved for the teachers of reading by realizing the mental process of reading comprehension and how prior knowledge can enhance a reader's interaction with the text through CL.This thesis consists of five parts.Part one,two and three briefly introduces the background and significance of the study,definitions and models of cooperative learning and reading comprehension.Part four and five are the key sections of the thesis,which introduces the hypotheses,subjects,instrument,procedure of the study and the analysis of the results of the study.Part five draws the conclusion of the study.

The lag of discipline system has always been the“fault”of higher calligraphy education.Therefore,this paper takes the various contradictions in the development of higher calligraphy education as the standpoint to observe the calligraphy discipline.Based on this,it tries to build a corresponding discipline system,transform the contradiction into favorable conditions,and on the basis of the construction of the discipline system,aiming at calligraphy for the realization of modernization services,get more extensive The concept of“calligraphy plus”collaborative training mechanism is put forward to meet the practical needs of society.

Research on the Teaching of Landscape Engineering by Foreign Teachers in Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education in SUCC

Sino-foreign cooperative education plays an important role in undergraduate education.It has also proved itself popular in higher vocational education in recent years,in which foreign teachers are undertaking the task of teaching some specialized courses.The teaching by foreign teachers has certain irreplaceable advantages,but nonnegligible disadvantages as well.Questionnaires have been distributed to the students majoring in Landscape Engineering from Shanghai Urban Construction College to investigate the teaching of specialized courses by foreign teachers.Based on the statistics,the advantages and disadvantages of their teaching have been analyzed,and several suggestions on how to adopt the good points and avoid the shortcomings are offered,so as to improve the quality of Sino-foreign cooperative education in higher vocational college.

A Case Study of China as an Exporter of Higher Education Using Push-Pull Theory

Developing countries establishing international branch campuses （IBCs） is an emerging trend, and currently compromises 17% percent of the market in terms of the number of IBCs. While researchers have applied different social science perspectives to analyze cross-border higher education and IBCs, they usually emphasize developed countries as exporters and developing countries as importers of higher education. The phenomenon of developing countries as exporters of higher education has seldom been looked at so far in the research. This paper first describes the current development of IBCs, then illustrates what social science perspectives have been used on this topic, followed by how push-pull theory relates to developing countries being exporters of IBCs. The paper aims to combine E.S. Lee＇s push-pull theory and Gu＇s push-pull framework to analyze the push and pull factors in their advertisement and marketing claims when higher education institutions （HEIs） from developing countries plan to establish branch campuses in foreign countries. Soochow University in Laos is used as a case study. Furthermore, intermediate barriers and solutions are also identified in this case study. However, this case study has its own uniqueness and only serves heuristic for future research.

On the Development Strategy of Internationalization of Non-governmental Higher Education

The integration of global economic and society information makes the traditional education and means of education have been changing for thousands of years, which never appear before. The internationalization of higher education has become the true fact. The non-governmental colleges has become the important part of higher education as a new power and abiding by the trend of internationalization of higher education just like the public colleges. Therefore they need to enhance the cultural exchange and cooperation with international universities and orientate their talent training mode in the international competition and even take the charge of flexible operation mechanism to pave the new way for their own characteristics and core competence.

China-Europe Higher Education Cooperation: Opportunities and Challenges

Key Aspects of Open Data in Finnish RDI Cooperation between Higher Education and Businesses

The article highlights aspects that should be considered during an open Research,Development,and Innovation(RDI)process cycle to improve the utilization of research data and foster open cooperation between higher education and businesses.The viewpoint here is in publicly funded joint research projects of the universities of applied sciences(UAS),the concept is,however,applicable in other higher education and research organizations as well.There are various challenges related to research data management in general as well as to the openness and reuse of data and results.The findings of this article are based on the results of a two-day expert workshop,and these results are interlinked with five phases of an open RDI process cycle:planning,implementation,documentation,sharing,and commercialization.Various drivers and barriers can be identified in different stages of the process.On a general level,special attention must be paid to critical factors such as ownership and sharing of data and results,confidential information and business secrets as well as following the requirements of the Open Science(OS)policies of the participating organizations and funders.This article also highlights several best practices that should be considered in each phase of an open RDI process cycle with businesses.

Towards Building Direct Educational Partnership:The Foundation of Shanxi University in 1902

The foundation of Shanxi University is a prime example of the collaborative efforts in higher education between the Chinese and British in late Qing China(1842-1912).Both sides made compromises,with the Chinese adapting their ideas of educational sovereignty,and the British agreeing to work under the supervision of the local government.Such a collaboration was made possible by the individual personalities of the two founders and their visions for China’s higher education.The dual structure of the university,with one department to teach Chinese learning and the other to teach Western learning,showed that,at a local and personal level,these officials and missionaries opted for direct cooperation,despite the myriad changes and upheavals following the Boxer Movement.In addition,by allowing foreign missionaries into critical roles in a government university,the principle of ti-yong dualism was gradually being adapted.The formation of Shanxi University not only demonstrates the dynamics of the Sino-Western educational relationship and the roles individuals played in it,but also stimulates reflection on China’s contemporary cross-border partnerships in higher education.

教育强国背景下中外合作办学提升高等教育国际影响力策略研究

在加快建设教育强国进程中,中外合作办学对提升高等教育国际影响力具有重要作用,且在提升拔尖创新人才培育力、国际学生吸引力、科研学术引领力、跨境教育“中国方案”影响力等方面具备了一定基础。然而,目前我国中外合作办学尚存在结构布局不够均衡、拔尖创新人才培养质量有待提高、服务国家和地方发展能力亟须提升、高效能治理体制机制尚需完善等问题。为此,中外合作办学应加大改革创新力度,补齐短板,在适度统筹规模和效益、调整优化结构布局,加大支撑保障力度、多渠道提升人才培养质量,聚焦科技前沿和国家关切、把好引进和审批准入关,完善合作办学治理体系、探索中国特色的合作办学模式等方面持续发力,不断提高中外合作办学水平,切实提升我国高等教育国际影响力。

我国与“一带一路”沿线国家高等教育高质量合作的多元路径

高等教育合作是“一带一路”倡议的重要内容与途径,探究我国与“一带一路”沿线国家高等教育高质量合作的差异化合作路径和作用机制,总结成功经验,对推动共建“一带一路”高质量发展具有重大意义。基于TOE框架,对34个“一带一路”教育国际交流优秀案例进行定性比较分析发现,学科资源相对优势是实现“一带一路”高等教育高质量合作的必要条件。“一带一路”高等教育高质量合作路径共有三种,分别是学科资源嵌入人文交流的民心相通型、学科资源赋能需求满足的共同发展型、学科资源支撑民主会商的话语体系建构型。在“一带一路”倡议提出十周年之际的新历史起点,我国高等教育对外合作应整合优质学科资源,创新交流机制,持之以恒地开展有深度的人文交流;须统筹发挥教育资源优势,务实满足沿线国家需求,实现共同发展;可借助教育多边平台,将学科优势转化为影响力,提升中国高等教育的国际话语权。
