Problems and principles in translation of cross-cultural research instruments

The process of translation is an important part of cross-cultural studies. Cross-cultural researchers are often confronted by the need to translate instruments from one language to another. In the translation, linguistic equivalence, functional equivalence, cultural equivalence and metric equivalence are factors that need to be considered greatly. This paper examines the translation of cross-cultural research instrument from these points of view, illustrates with examples and puts forward suggestions for incorporating each factor into research studies.

Ethical Criteria in Research in Music Education in Brazil

The growth of research in Music Education in Brazil,together with the advancement of ethical care in research,originated this research that aimed to investigate aspects related to ethical care in research in Music Education in Brazil,based on Resolution No.510/2016,which deals with ethics in research with human beings.Data were collected via Internet,in the journal of the Brazilian Association of Music Education(known by the acronym ABEM),with a time frame from 2016 to 2022.As a result,five papers were found.It is understood,in this sense,that there is room for the growth of investigations in Music Education that deal with research ethics.Despite the advances in legislation regarding research ethics,as well as the need for investigations in Music Education to also consider these issues in their data collection and analysis,the theme has still been little considered in methodological procedures.

The Role of Music in Multicultural Education:A Tool for Promoting Cultural Understanding and Inclusion

In this essay,it will be examined how music can be a powerful tool in multicultural education in promoting humanity and cultural sensitivity.As classroom diversity increases,the challenge lies with educators to ensure that an equal and appropriate learning environment for all students with cultural sensitivity is maintained.To address this problem,therefore,the study explores how music may be effectively incorporated into intercultural education approaches.This paper has evidence that music is a language that has transcended cultures and promotes tolerance,appreciation,and acceptance of diversity through a synthesis of literature and examples.Several implications posit that music can make people feel they belong,enhance the relations of people from diverse cultures,and provide a practical way of learning about other cultures.The potential of music as a tool to engage social justice issues and liberate oppressed groups is also discussed in this research.It exists,but with caution to cultural appropriation and stereotyping of students,thus requiring educators to be sensitive and socially-apperceived on the best practice ways on how to integrate music into classrooms.The end explains how music helps in nurturing a generation of embracing the world,more sensitive and more inclined to the happenings in society to create a society that will be more sensitive and tolerant with the growing society which is diversifying.Therefore,the current article recommends further exploration and development of music-facilitated/inclined pedagogy of ME in hopefully enhancing cultural consciousness/sensitivity and fostering more social integration.

Educational Practices in the Model of Music Learning Theory of E. Edwin Gordon： An Observational Research

This paper analyzes the supervision activity, to which educators and teachers enrolled with AIGAM （Gordon Italian Association for the Musical Learning） are subject to every year and intends to verify the application of those principles expressed in the learning model of the MLT （Music Learning Theory） developed by educational psychologist E. Edwin Gordon （1989, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2007） and promoted internationally by various institutions and organizations specifically accredited. It describes the influence of the videotaped supervision on the process, functions of monitoring, and evaluation of educational practices, starting with an empirical model that has guided the interventions in a study of supervision on training aimed at consolidating and developing professional skills in music education in early childhood. This paper sought to understand： the kind of practices, interactions, communications developing during an educational actions, the existence of a consistent relationship between the principles expressed in the MLT and their application, the type and benefits of supervision performed by of video recording on stakeholders in terms of change in professional behavior, and finally whether the active supervision could be comparable with other kinds of approaches.

Cross-Cultural Study of Historical Effects on Emotional Intelligence Among Young Adults

This study investigates historical and cultural effects on one component of emotional intelligence,the ability to recognize and report on one’s emotions.This study suggests a novel influence on emotional intelligence,an individual’s historical context.Samples of young adults,from Kyrgyzstan,former Soviet Republic in Central Asia,and the USA were assessed using the Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TAS-20)(Bagby,Parker,& Taylor,1994) in 2002 and again in 2012,and in 2018.Significant historical cohort effect,significant interaction effect,and gender effects were found.

A review of the research on music therapy in hospice care

Objective:To summarize the research progress of music therapy in hospice care and to provide reference for further research.Methods:A wide range of literatures on music therapy and hospice care at home and abroad were searched and read,and the literature was integrated,judged,analyzed,and summarized.Results:The related research on music therapy in hospice care mainly focused on western developed countries such as Europe and the United States.China is still in the stage of theoretical exploration,lacking qualitative research based on case investigation and empirical research based on data statistics.Conclusions:Music therapy supports the management of symptoms in hospice care,which can meet the diverse needs of patients and their family members including physical,psychological,social,and spiritual.

In this paper, we conduct research on the accurate computer music composition mode under the basic background of big data. From the macroscopic, the nature of the chord with internal connection between motivation and motivation as support, at the same time, the whole range can maintain in a certain range, making sound effects is can let a person feel cheerful. Computer science first occupied is music in the music sound production and the propagation of position as it is mainly used for digital audio clips and automated synthesis. But there is a certain distance away from the traditional concept of composition. Therefore, our research proposes the innovative perspective to deal with the issues for achieving the better performance.

MUSIC学习动机理论联合ADDIE教学模型在急诊科护理科研培训中的应用效果

目的:探讨MUSIC学习动机理论联合ADDIE教学模型在急诊科护理科研培训中的应用效果。方法:采用便利抽样法,选取2020年1月—2021年12月于湖北省某三级甲等医院急诊科工作的护士为研究对象。按照参与培训的时间不同,将研究对象分为对照组和观察组,2020年1月—2020年12月参与科研培训的护士为对照组,2021年1月—2021年12月参与科研培训的护士为观察组,对照组采用常规护理科研培训方案,观察组采用基于MUSIC学习动机理论联合ADDIE教学模型的护理科研培训方案。比较2种培训方案实施后,两组护士在护理科研理论成绩得分、护理科研能力自评量表得分、MUSIC学习动机量表得分及护理科研成果数量方面的差异。结果:两组护士护理科研理论成绩得分、护理科研能力自评量表各维度得分及量表总分、MUSIC学习动机量表各维度得分、护理科研成果数量比较,差异均有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论:MUSIC学习动机理论联合ADDIE教学模型的护理科研培训方案,可有效提升急诊科护士科研能力,提高护理科研学习动机。

何谓“中国音乐”?——在“全球中国音乐研究的回顾与展望国际学术研讨会”上的发言

针对英国牛津大学出版社出版的《牛津手册——中国和海外华人音乐分册》的内容,提出“中国音乐”不能混同于“汉族音乐”,而用“汉族音乐”替代“中国音乐”,则更是错误的。为了改变目前全球中国音乐研究出现的这种状况,首先应为“中国音乐”一词“正名”,还要纠正以往学者的错误,在深入民间进行调研的同时,应有组织、有计划、有步骤地用英文写作一本包括56个民族音乐概况的《中国音乐手册》,以便向国外正确、全面地介绍我国音乐的基本状况。

中国音乐史课程蕴含丰富的课程思政元素,是音乐专业课程思政建设的重要阵地。在党的二十大精神引领下,可以深入挖掘、有效整合课程内容,确立与中国音乐三大发展阶段相对应的6个思政主题、25项思政案例和思政点,构建线索鲜明、专题突出、案例典型的“音乐+历史+现实+思政”四位一体育人体系。在课程改革中进一步探索数字赋能教学新模式,并以“思政+通识”为目标,在“三全育人”格局下打造高质量中国音乐史公共选修课和线上慕课,对音乐课程思政推进和数字化革新等具有探索、借鉴价值。

教育科研推动农村音乐教师卓越发展的个案研究——一位音乐名师的成长经历解读

本研究以一位从农村中学走出的音乐名师为研究对象,通过访谈、公开发表的成果和自传体文章解读,分析其在微观学习环境中经历的专业学习和发展过程,重点探究教育科研在其中的推动与催化作用。基于此,归纳农村教师的成长动力机制、音乐教师专业发展的特点等,并对体制内教师晋升与发展的科研要求等现象进行反思。

张谷密与花儿音乐传播

中国传媒大学赵志安教授提出音乐的两种传播模式概念——音乐的“现场”传播模式和音乐的“媒介”传播模式。在条件艰苦、没有任何录音设备的20世纪50年代,张谷密先生凭借自己的双足走遍土族的村寨,他深入到土族、回族、撒拉族、藏族、哈萨克族以及汉族群众中间去收集素材、体验生活并进行音乐创作,产生了青海花儿的“自然性”音乐现场传播行为。于此同时,他又与各地的民歌手进行音乐信息的交流沟通,做到音乐现场传播实践中传播者与受众之间的面对面,促进了青海各民族花儿的融合交汇与传播。在音乐理论方面,张谷密经过归纳和提炼提出了极具代表性的“徵商花儿”,得到了民族音乐理论家们的广泛认同并被沿用。该理论研究方法为学者们更深入地了解研究花儿音乐提供了良好的思路,同时也证明了张谷密先生对于花儿调式理论的直接性传播。

《于润洋西方音乐史教学手稿》中的音乐史学问题及书写特性

2021年3月,人民音乐出版社出版了于润洋先生的《于润洋西方音乐史教学手稿》。文章追溯了该书写作的历史经纬,论述了该著作出版的历史意义,阐述了书写中的历史唯物主义基本原则,对中外音乐史写作的个性特征作了回顾,阐述该书的问题意识,指出这部《手稿》既是于润洋先生学术问题的发源地,在当时也具有着西方音乐史教学和研究学术引领的意义。

常璩《华阳国志》著录宗旨与音乐观念考辨

五音疗法对卒中后相关功能障碍的康复护理研究进展

脑卒中是我国成人致死、致残的首位病因。脑卒中后各种功能障碍极大降低了患者的生存质量。五行音乐疗法将角、徵、宫、商、羽五音与五志、五脏对应,具有辨证施护的特色,对脑卒中相关功能障碍的疗效肯定,不良反应少且安全。文章阐述五行音乐疗法的理论基础及作用机制,总结并分析不同调式的五行音乐对脑卒中患者的言语功能、认知功能、肢体运动功能和情绪障碍的康复护理疗效及研究进展,以期为临床康复护理提供理论依据。
