Preliminary cross-section measurements for γ(P, K+)A are presented at an unprecedented beam energy resolution. The data was collected at the MAMI-C facility in Mainz using the Crystal Ball Detector. A new method of K+ detection was used in which the K+ is tagged from its weak decay products in the detector crystals. This technique has application with other calorimeters at present and future hadron facilities.展开更多

It seems the effect of cold pressing has slightly reduced the lattice parameter of W from 3.165 to 3.143?. Consequent annealing of unmilled compacts yielded metastable phases. Upon 10 and 20 h ball milling of Co-W powder, no alloying was obtained. Although milling did not yield significant crystal changes in W and Co ground state structures, its effect is evident during subsequent annealing. An eta phase is obtained for the first time from unmilled-annealed Co-W powder mixture in the absence of interstitial elements like carbon, while the milled counterpart yielded the rhombohedral Co7W6-type phase with composition deviated from stoichiometric value.展开更多

The scaling properties (H) of this equation is in good agreement with the Monte Carlo simulations described by Bellon and Averback. In this equation the volume diffusion and interface diffusion are all important and this is consistent with some experimental results.展开更多
