Purpose: To evaluate short-term effects of single photodynamic therapy (PDT) for age-related macular degeneration (AMD) accompanied with choroidal neovascularization (CNV).Methods: We analyzed retrospectively the effe...Purpose: To evaluate short-term effects of single photodynamic therapy (PDT) for age-related macular degeneration (AMD) accompanied with choroidal neovascularization (CNV).Methods: We analyzed retrospectively the effects of single PDT for 20 patients (20 eyes) with CNV caused by AMD. Corrected visual acuity, fluorescein angiography (FA) and optic coherence tomography (OCT) were examined before and after PDT. All patients were followed up at least 3 months. Results: At the end of 3-month follow-up, 5 eyes had vision progress, 15 eyes had vision stable and no eye had vision deterioration. Fluorescein angiography one week post PDT showed cessation of fluorescein leakage in 8 eyes with predominant classic CNV, and reduction of fluorescein leakage in 12 eyes with minimal classic CNV or occult CNV without classic component. At the 3-month following PDT fluorescein angiography showed fluorescein leakage reappeared in 4 of 8 eyes with predominant classic CNV. Among 12 eyes with minimal classic CNV or occult CNV without classic component, 9 eyes showed decreased or unchanged fluorescein leakage, 3 eyes had a progression of fluorescein leakage. Optic coherence tomography showed obvious recovery of serous sensory retinal detachment after PDT. Conclusion: PDT may occlude or inhibit CNV caused by AMD in short term. No obvious side effects were noticed.展开更多
The objective of this study was to assess the role of AMPK in intramuscular fat(IMF) and fiber type in chicken muscle. The chickens were slaughtered and their muscles were collected at the ages of 4, 8, and 16 weeks s...The objective of this study was to assess the role of AMPK in intramuscular fat(IMF) and fiber type in chicken muscle. The chickens were slaughtered and their muscles were collected at the ages of 4, 8, and 16 weeks so as to determine the IMF contents, as well as the expression levels of AMPK subunits, regulators of adipogenesis. In addition, the myosin heavy chains(My HCs) in thigh muscle tissues were also measured. The results showed that the IMF contents in 16-week old chickens were higher than those in 4 and 8-week-old chickens(P<0.05).The expression levels of fatty acid synthase(FAS) and fatty aicd translocase CD36(FAT/CD36) m RNA were increased significantly in samples collected at the ages of4 and 16 weeks(P<0.05). The expression levels of My HC IIa and IIb differed significantly among all the developmental stages(P <0.05). The AMPKα2, AMPKγ1,and AMPKγ3 m RNA levels were dramatically decreased with the increase of age(P <0.05). To examine the role of AMPK in adipogenesis regulation, the SV cells were cultured in an adipogenesis medium and treated with AICAR and Compound C respectively, the specific activator and inhibit of AMPK. The Compound C induced dramatically a greater expression of C/EBPβ, SREBP1 and PPARγ(P <0.05). In conclusion, the expression of AMPKα2, AMPKγ1, and AMPKγ3 m RNA is significantly correlated with the adipogenesis in skeletal muscle of chickens.展开更多

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the efficacy of Ciji Hua'ai Baosheng formula(CHBF) on microvessel density(MVD) and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF), kinase insert domain-containing receptor(KDR) and basic fibrob...OBJECTIVE: To investigate the efficacy of Ciji Hua'ai Baosheng formula(CHBF) on microvessel density(MVD) and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF), kinase insert domain-containing receptor(KDR) and basic fibroblast growth factor(b FGF) expression in serum and tumor tissue of mice receiving chemotherapy for the treatment of H22 hepatocellular carcinoma.METHODS: Sixty Kunming mice were injected subcutaneously with H22 hepatoma carcinoma cell suspensions into the right anterior armpit. Seven days later, all transplanted tumor were formed and the mice were intraperitoneally injected 200 mg/kg cytoxan(CTX) to establish the models of tumor-bearing mouse chemotherapy, then they were randomly divided into model group, continuing CTX chemotherapy group(CTX group), and three CHBF(117, 58.5 and 29.25 g/kg) groups. After ten days of treatments, histology was observed, contents of VEGF, KDR and b FGF in serum and tumor tissue were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA), VEGF and b FGF protein expression and MVD tagged by CD34 were detected by immunohistochemisty.RESULTS: MVD in CHBF(117, 58.5 g/kg) and CTX groups was significantly lower than that in model group(P < 0.01); expressions of VEGF, KDR and b FGF in serum and tumor tissue in CHBF(117 g/kg)group were less than those in model group(P <0.05; P < 0.01); the expressions of MVD, VEGF and b FGF in tumor tissue of CHBF(117 g/kg) groupwere also less than those in CTX group(P < 0.05;P < 0.01).CONCLUSION: CHBF can effectively reduce the expression of VEGF, KDR and b FGF in serum and tumor tissue, and decrease MVD and delay tumor progression.展开更多

The crystal belongs to triclinic crystal system, space group P ī with cell constants a =0 7359(1) nm, b =0 9935(1) nm, c = 1 6335(2) nm, α =91 16(1)°, β =92 07(1)°, γ =106 53(1)°, V =1 1436(2) nm 3 and Z =1. The results show that the title compound consists of [Mg(H 2O) 6] 2+ , C 16 H 11 O 4SO - 3 and H 2O. Mg(II) is located at the symmetry center of the title compound. [Mg(H 2O) 6] 2+ , C 16 H 11 O 4SO - 3 and H 2O form fourteen kinds of hydrogen bonds. The distance of 0 351 nm between parallel isoflavone rings shows a π π stacking interaction. The hydrogen bonds and π π stacking interaction lead to supramolecular formation with three dimensional network structure. The title compound was also characterized by IR and 1H NMR spectra.展开更多
目的:观察天芪降糖胶囊联合二甲双胍治疗老年2型糖尿病伴脑微血管病变的疗效和安全性。方法:96例老年2型糖尿病伴脑微血管病变患者随机分为对照组(48例)和观察组(48例)。对照组患者给予盐酸二甲双胍片0.5 g,口服,每日3次;观察组患者在...目的:观察天芪降糖胶囊联合二甲双胍治疗老年2型糖尿病伴脑微血管病变的疗效和安全性。方法:96例老年2型糖尿病伴脑微血管病变患者随机分为对照组(48例)和观察组(48例)。对照组患者给予盐酸二甲双胍片0.5 g,口服,每日3次;观察组患者在对照组治疗的基础上给予天芪降糖胶囊1.6 g,口服,每日3次。两组均用药4周。观察两组患者的临床疗效,治疗前后中医证候总积分、血糖水平[空腹血糖(FPG)、餐后2 h血糖(2 h PG)、糖化血红蛋白(Hb A1c)]、血脂水平[总胆固醇(TC)、三酰甘油(TG)、高密度脂蛋白胆固醇(HDL-C)、低密度脂蛋白胆固醇(LDL-C)]、超敏C反应蛋白(hs-CRP)和内皮素-1(ET-1)水平、血液流变学指标、氧化应激指标[丙二醛(MDA)、超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)]及不良反应发生情况。结果:观察组患者总有效率显著高于对照组(89.58%vs.70.83%),差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。治疗后,两组患者中医证候总积分和血糖、hs-CRP、ET-1、TC、TG、LDL-C、血液流变学指标、MDA水平均显著低于同组治疗前,且观察组中医证候总积分、FPG、2 h PG、hs-CRP、ET-1、TC、TG、LDL-C、血液流变学指标、MDA水平均显著低于对照组;两组患者SOD水平均显著高于同组治疗前,且观察组显著高于对照组,同时观察组HDL-C水平显著高于同组治疗前及对照组,差异均有统计学意义(P<0.05)。两组患者治疗期间均未见明显不良反应发生。结论:天芪降糖胶囊联合二甲双胍治疗老年2型糖尿病伴脑微血管病变的疗效显著,可降低血糖、血脂水平,改善机体血液流变学状态及氧化应激反应,且安全性较好。展开更多
