Tracing the Historical Development of Ethnic Colleges and Universities to Strengthen the Consciousness of the Chinese National Community:Oral Narratives of Southwest Minzu University's 70 Years of Development

"With copper as a mirror,you can wear a crown;with history as a mirror,you can know the rise and fall."This paper takes the 70-year development process of Southwest Minzu University as the carrier,the casting of the Chinese national community as the main line while tracing back to the source,adopts the recording method of"oral history of the school,"interviews witnesses to the development of Southwest Minzu University,including school leaders,teachers,alumni,and other representative figures,records the memories of these parties on the practices of Southwest Minzu University in different periods to cast the awareness of the Chinese national community,and collates them into a text.From the perspective of students,it is important to understand the history of the Chinese national community in the past 70 years since the establishment of Southwest Minzu University,collect and sort out the historical memories of Southwest Minzu University for the education of the Chinese national community,supplement and confirm the school's historical documents,preserve the history,make up for the gap in the history of the school,and at the same time provide a realistic basis for Southwest Minzu University to formulate future development strategies.

A Sense of Community for the Chinese Nation Embodied in the Musical Dance Art of Early Dunhuang Grottoes

The musical dance art recorded in early Dunhuang Grottoes,though supposed to be created by ancient northern ethnic groups such as the Hun and Xianbei,gives expression to a strong thought of"Chinafication"and a sense of community for the Chinese nation.By analyzing the essence and content of the musical dance art in the Dunhuang Grottoes created during the Northern Liang(A.D.397-460),Northern Wei(A.D.386-534),Western Wei(A.D.535-556)and Northern Zhou(A.D.557-581)Dynasties,and by exploring the contribution of ancient ethnic groups such as the Hun and Xianbei in the formation and development of Chinese nation,this study reveals that the musical dance art in early Dunhuang Grottoes faithfully reflects the community pattern of the Chinese nation featured by"unity in diversity"developed since ancient times,and hopes that the future research and creation may expand their horizon by incorporating the musical dance art of early Dunhuang Grottoes into the system of contemporary Dunhuang dance.

The objective of fostering a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation is to establish the Chinese national identity,which is the symbol of a modern nation-state,for all Minzu in China;and the precondition of it is to define"China"and"Chinese people"with preciseness.For that sake,we must abolish both Han chauvinism and narrow-minded local ethnic chauvinism,and reaffirm the staunch belief that all 56 Minzu are inseparable parts of the Chinese nation and that all people of these 56 Minzu are Chinese people.To adapt Tibetan Buddhism to the Chinese context is not to sinicize Tibetan Buddhism,but to adapt it to the requirement for the development and progress of the Chinese nation in a new era,as well as to make it a fantastic catalyst for the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.For the sake of it,we will not only make Tibetan Buddhism a crucial part of Chinese Buddhism,but also include Han and Tibetan Buddhism as the most important identity of Chinese Buddhism,so as to integrate Tibetan Buddhism,Han Buddhism,and Theravada Buddhism inside China and strengthen a sense of community for Chinese nation in China's Buddhist community,which will serve as an important part of forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation.

This paper firstly introduces the general situation of cotton planting areas in China and cotton industry in Xinjiang,and the current situation of intellectual property protection of Xinjiang's cotton industry.Then,it analyzes the main problems in its intellectual property protection and high-quality development.On this basis,it comes up with the recommendations for high-quality development of cotton industry in Xinjiang under the strategy of strengthening the country with intellectual property.The recommendations include improving the level of creation of creative intellectual property rights,building an intellectual property rule system in the entire cotton industry chain in Xinjiang,building protected zones for production of major high quality agricultural product cotton,establishing a demonstration zone to undertake the transfer of the domestic cotton textile and garment industry,undertaking education on the sense of community for the Chinese nation in response to the Xinjiang cotton incident,and developing the"Belt and Road"blue market for Xinjiang cotton and its products.

民族团结是我国各族人民的生命线,中华民族共同体意识是民族团结之本,当前“铸牢中华民族共同体意识”的民族工作之纲指明我党新时代民族工作的内涵。鉴于以往培育中华民族共同体意识的研究中,缺乏对实践经验的深刻认识,逐渐与新时代民族工作新要求相脱节,因而在此基础上,本文引入常人学研究方法,以民族干部为研究对象,深入解剖民族干部的日常活动,从行动的权宜性、场景性、索引性和反身性及可说明性出发,说明民族干部对铸牢中华民族共同体意识的启发作用,以此分析我党推进中华民族共同体意识培育的基本规律,并在“一般”和“特殊”的双向理解中,完善中华民族共同体意识的培育方式。

少数民族大学生中华民族共同体意识培育路径探析——以文化认同为视角

如何容纳族群多样性和文化多样性一直是国家治理的核心问题。我国是一个多民族国家,如何处理好民族问题是党和国家事业发展和长治久安的关键。不断增强各民族中华民族共同体意识是习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想中的重要内容,是实现国家治理体系和治理能力现代化的重要环节。培育少数民族大学生中华民族共同体意识,应以文化认同为视角、以习近平总书记有关文化认同和中华民族共同体意识的重要论述为指导,打造以中华优秀传统文化为基础的民族文化教育,构建“多元一体”的中华文化心理认同理念,营造中华文化认同校园环境,以多维度立体化的系统培育为路径,从而逐步形成各民族共同体的合力,推进实现中华民族伟大复兴。

Religious Peace and Diverse Harmony:The Historical Experience of Ethnic Interaction and Exchanges in Kumbum Monastery

Kumbum Monastery,also known as Kumbum Jama Ling or Ta'er Temple,is a Tibetan Buddhism temple of Gelugpa Sect in Qinghai Province,China.It is the home of monks from different ethnic groups,a place of long-standing religious traditions,and multi-ethnic history and culture.Due to its unique geological position and multi-ethnic cultural environment,ever since its initial establishment,Kumbum Monastery has been consciously adapting itself to the social environment and political situation of the time,and promoting"patriotism and love of the religion"and"religious harmony",thus have fostered a custom of being inclusive to all as well as coexistence in harmony.By studying the historical experience of ethnic interaction and exchange of Kumbum Monastery and the spirit within,we can promote the adaption of Tibetan Buddhism to socialist society,promote the development of Tibetan Buddhism in the Chinese context,foster a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation,and carry forward Tibetan Buddhism's tradition of patriotism and love of the religion.Taking the perspective of ethnic religion study in the new era,this article will:1)explore and tease out Kumbum Monastery's historical experience on interactions,exchanges among different ethnic groups in the Hehuang area;2)summarize and analyze the core spirit Kumbum Monastery has formed alongside its development;3)summarize the experience of the development of Tibetan Buddhism in the Chinese context;4)and provide enhancing ethnic solidarity.Meanwhile,the monasteries can best demonstrate the degree of the development of Tibetan Buddhism in the Chinese context.Kumbum Monastery is one of the six great monasteries of the Gelug Sect of Tibetan Buddhism.Its cultural spirit of keeping abreast of the times,being inclusive to all and co-existing in harmony and its social awareness of patriotism and love of the religion,safeguarding the country and benefiting the people and maintaining ethnic solidarity can be of great inspiration to the sound development of contemporary Tibetan Buddhist Monasteries as well as to the development of Tibetan Buddhism in the Chinese context.

A Brief Comment on the Translation of“zhulao zhonghuaminzu gongtongtiyishi(铸牢中华民族共同体意识)”in to English

Through briefly introducing and sorting out the formation process of the major original assertion of“铸牢中华民族共同体意识”,as well as examining,analyzing and comparing the English translations of this assertion in the China's official documents,this paper proposes that the English translation that more appropriately reflects"铸牢中华民族共同体意识"should be:"foster a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation".This paper argues that unifying the English translation of“铸牢中华民族共同体意识”in our official documents will help us promote this important and original assertion in the world in a comprehensive and accurate manner,and better inform the outside of how China has been doing her ethnic work in the new era with the main line of fostering a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation.

通过对少数民族大学生中华民族共同体意识的现状调查和原因分析,发现少数民族大学生对于中华民族的政治认同、文化认同、身份认同和价值认同等方面都有待加强。因此,要大力改善少数民族地区的民生条件,增强少数民族大学生的政治认同;要着力建设各民族共有的精神家园,增强文化自信;加强中华民族共同历史的教育,增强少数民族大学生的身份认同;加强马克思主义民族观教育,增强少数民族大学生的价值认同,从而使其在培育自身"中华民族共同体意识"的同时,担当起国家民族政策的宣传者,担当起"中华民族共同体意识"的践行者的责任,带动少数民族群众广泛培育"中华民族共同体意识",实现整个中华民族的大团结、大繁荣。
