Designed Syntheses and Crystal Structures of Two Cis-cyanide Bridged Trinuclear Complexes

Two cyanide bridged trinuclear compounds [Fe(bpy)2(CN)2]·[Cu(Cyclam)]2(ClO4)4·DMF 1 and [Fe(Phen)2(CN)2]·[Cu(Cyclam)]2(ClO4)4·2CH3CN·4H2O 2 (Bpy = 2,2'- bipyridine, Phen = 1,... Two cyanide bridged trinuclear compounds [Fe(bpy)2(CN)2]·[Cu(Cyclam)]2(ClO4)4·DMF 1 and [Fe(Phen)2(CN)2]·[Cu(Cyclam)]2(ClO4)4·2CH3CN·4H2O 2 (Bpy = 2,2'- bipyridine, Phen = 1,10-phenanthroline, Cyclam = 1,4,8,11-tetraaza-cyclotetradecane, and DMF = N,N-dimethylformamide) have been synthesized by using mononuclear [Fe(Phen)2(CN)2]·2H2O and [Fe(bpy)2(CN)2]·3H2O as precursors. These two complexes crystallize in monoclinic space groups P21/c and C2/c, respectively. For 1, a = 25.164(2), b = 12.0405(11), c = 20.4433(15) A, β = 91.948(3)°, V = 6190.5(9) A^3, Z = 4, Mr = 1418.90, Dc = 1.522 g/cm^3, F(000) = 2936, μ = 1.161 mm^-1, the final R = 0.0722 and wR = 0.2011 for 10779 observed reflections (I 〉 2σ(I)). For 2, a = 43.5945(0), b = 11.8447(0), c = 29.5637(2)A, β = 120.430(11)o, V = 13162.76(9) A^3, Z = 8, Mr = 1518.48, Dc = 1.533 g/cm^3, F(000) = 6288, μ = 1.101 mm^-1, the final R = 0.0711 and wR = 0.1783 for 11262 observed reflections (I 〉 2σ(I)). 展开更多

The crystal structure of the title compound C 8H 16 CuN 8Ni has been determined by single crystal X ray diffraction. The crystal structure of the title compound C 8H 16 CuN 8Ni has been determined by single crystal X ray diffraction. The crystal is triclinic with space group P1, a=6.494(3), b=7.270(4), c=7.936(5) , α=106.67(3), β=91.33(4), γ=106.80(6)°, V=341.3(3) 3, Z=1, M r=346.54, F(000)=177, μ =2\^933mm -1 , D c =1.686 Mg/m 3. The final R factor is 0.0603 for 1214 unique observed reflections 〔 I≥2σ(I) 〕. The structure consists of 〔Cu(en) 2〕 2+ (en=ethylenediamine) cations and 〔Ni(CN) 4〕 2- anions linked together by two of the CN groups (the remaining two act as unidentate ligands) to form infinite chains, in the chain, the hydrogen bonds of N(4)…H-N(5) exist,with distance 3.148 , at the same time the hydrogen bonds of N(4)…H-N(7a) and N(5)-H…N(1a) (a: x-1,y-1,z-1 ) between the interchains also exist, with distances of 3.160 and 3.124 , so it forms a three\|dimensional structure of the title compound. 展开更多

We have designed and synthesized a family of dinuclear cyanido-bridged complexes[PY5Me_(2)Ru(μ-CN)Ru(dppe)CpMe_(n)][PF_(6)]_(2) (PY5Me_(2)=2,6-bis (1,1-bis(2-pyridyl)ethyl) pyridine,Cp=cyclopentadienyl,n=0,2[PF6]_(2)... We have designed and synthesized a family of dinuclear cyanido-bridged complexes[PY5Me_(2)Ru(μ-CN)Ru(dppe)CpMe_(n)][PF_(6)]_(2) (PY5Me_(2)=2,6-bis (1,1-bis(2-pyridyl)ethyl) pyridine,Cp=cyclopentadienyl,n=0,2[PF6]_(2);n=1,3[PF6]_(2);n=5,4[PF6]_(2)) by using a mononuclear complex[PY5Me_(2)Ru(μ-CN)][PF_(6)](1) as the precursor.All the three complexes have been fully characterized by including single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis.The one-electron oxidation complexes 2^(3+),3^(3+) and 4^(3+) obtained in situ all show a MMCT absorption band in the visible range.The MMCT energy increases as the redox potential of the N-terminal fragments decreases,and the redox potential decreases as the number of methyl groups on the cyclopentadiene of the cyanido-nitrogen coordinated Ru metal increases,supported by the TDF/TDDFT calculations. 展开更多
