The procedure to determine the initiation and growth-driving forces of small defects were briefly described. Then, a simulation procedure combining the stress distribution from elastic-creep FEM and the random fracture resistance model was proposed, and Ms procedure was applied to the simulation of the microscopic damage progress in a welded joint model test and in actual power piping. The results in terms of the simulated number density of small defects throughout the wall thickness were in good agreement with the observed results.展开更多

Indeed, the complexity, variety and number of neural pathways devoted to computing auditory information is unique among sensory modalities (Kaas, 2008). After the initial sensorineural encoding of sound at the level of the cochlea, auditory information is processed in several lower brainstem centers and eventually converges in the midbrain, at the level of the inferior colliculus (Wenstrup, 2005), Subsequently, auditory information is transferred through the thalamus, the medial geniculate body, and then the auditory cortex (Winer et al., 2005; Razak and Fuzessery, 2010; Hackett, 2011; Lee and Sherman, 2011; Lee and Winer, 2011;展开更多

The theoretical development of the methodology for determining the damage effect using type-curves of the inflow relationships was shown. We show the process followed for achieve the geothermal type-curve affected with damage for reservoirs with mean salinities of 30000 ppm and temperatures up to 350℃. This type-curve was applied using measurement production data in a Mexican geothermal field. According with the obtained results is shown that the methodology for determining the damage effect using production measurements is a sure alternative for the damage effect calculation. It was used an alternative methodology in order to validate the damage presence and the obtained results were consistent. Last thing shows that both methodologies can be combined as a confident manner.展开更多

The convolution-type functionals for the bending of viscoelastic thin and thick plates with damage are presented, and the corresponding generalized variational principles are given. From these generalized principles, all the basic equations of the displacement and damage variables and initial and boundary conditions can be deduced. As an example, we compare the difference between the dynamical properties of plates with and without damage and consider the effect of damage on the dynamical properties of plates.展开更多

Methods: A total of 150 patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathy who had received treatment in the Hospital between January 2017 and July 2018 were selected. The patients were randomly divided into two groups, with 75 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Xueshuangtong Injection and Kallikrein, and the observation group was treated with lipoic acid plus medicines given to the control group. The nerve conduction velocity, blood pressure and blood glucose, serum lipids, and serum inflammatory factors were compared between the two groups. Results: The CPT values of the median nerve-ulnar nerves, bilateral superficial peroneal nerves and deep peroneal nerves in the observation group at 5 Hz, 250 Hz, and 2000 Hz were lower than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant. After treatment, the SOD in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the MDA and Hs-CRP were lower than those in the control group, where the difference was statistically significant. After treatment, the levels of blood pressure and blood glucose in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant. After treatment, LDL-C, TC, and TG in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and HDL-C was higher than that in the control group. The difference was statistically significant. Conclusion: For patients with type 2 diabetes, lipoic acid can help improve the clinical treatment, which can improve the levels of blood glucose, blood pressure and blood lipid, increase nerve conduction velocity, and reduce the damage to sensory nerve subgroup.展开更多
