After 50 d of growth, the survival rate and rooting condition were investigated. The results showed that the survival rate from 5 different parts of cutting stem decreased from top to bottom (upper 98.22%, middle and upper 95.12%, middle 91.10%, middle and lower 72.90%, lower 71.12%). The same results were also observed in the number, total length and fresh weight of secondary roots of cutting segments from different parts of twigs.展开更多
Background:Bedsores are damage or loss of skin integrity due to prolonged pressure which there are several ways to treat and prevent them.The aim of the study was to determine the effect of Plantago major L.and Rosa d...Background:Bedsores are damage or loss of skin integrity due to prolonged pressure which there are several ways to treat and prevent them.The aim of the study was to determine the effect of Plantago major L.and Rosa damascene herbal ointment for bedsore healing in hospitalized patients.Methods:This clinical trial study was accomplished with 100 patients divided into control(50 patients)and intervention(50 patients)groups.The control group had received routine treatment(dressing with Comfeel),but the intervention group only had received herbal ointment and then both groups were compared with each other through the pressure ulcer scale for healing(PUSH)tool.Results:The mean and standard deviation of recovery time in the Comfeel group was 27.40±12.467 and in the herbal ointment group was 21.57±12.695.In the pre-intervention evaluation,the mean and standard deviation of the PUSH score in the herbal ointment group was 10.44±0.323 while in the last evaluation in the same group it was 0.68±0.288 but in the Comfeel group,in the pre-intervention evaluation,the mean and standard deviation of the PUSH score was 10.68±0.317,while in the last evaluation it was 1.98±0.472.The highest frequency of bedsores in the study units was in the sacral region(49%)and the lowest frequency was in the sole of the foot with 1%.Conclusion:The results showed that Plantago major L.and Rosa damascene herbal ointment was effective in accelerating recovery time and wound healing.展开更多
The bottom-up filling capabilities of electroless copper plating bath with an addition of additives, such as poly- ethylene glycol (PEG), polypropylene glycol (PPG) and triblock copolymers of PEG and PPG with ethy...The bottom-up filling capabilities of electroless copper plating bath with an addition of additives, such as poly- ethylene glycol (PEG), polypropylene glycol (PPG) and triblock copolymers of PEG and PPG with ethylene oxide terminal blocks termed EPE, were investigated by the cross-sectional scanning electron microscopy (SEM) obser- vation of sub-micrometer trenches. Though three additives had inhibition for electroless copper deposition, the suppression degrees of three additives were different. EPE-2000 had the strongest suppression for electroless copper deposition, and the suppression of PEG-2000 was the weakest. The bottom-up filling capability of electroless copper was investigated in a plating bath containing different additives with the concentration of 2.0 mg/L. The cross-sectional SEM observation indicated the trenches with the width of 280 nm and the depth of 475 nm were all completely filled by the plating bath with an addition of EPE-2000, but the trenches were not completely filled by the plating bath with an addition of PEG-2000 or PPG-2000, and some voids appeared. Linear sweep voltammetry measurement indicated that three additives all inhibited the cathodic reduction reaction and the anodic oxidation reaction, and the inhibition of EPE-2000 was the strongest among three additives, which agreed with that of the deposition rate of electroless copper. Significant differences in surface roughness of deposited copper film were observed by UV-visible near-infrared for different suppressors, and the bright and smooth of deposited copper film were in accordance with the inhibition of three additives.展开更多
Kerr frequency combs have been attracting significant interest due to their rich physics and broad applications in metrology,microwave photonics,and telecommunications.In this review,we first introduce the fundamental...Kerr frequency combs have been attracting significant interest due to their rich physics and broad applications in metrology,microwave photonics,and telecommunications.In this review,we first introduce the fundamental physics,master equations,simulation methods,and dynamic process of Kerr frequency combs.We then analyze the most promising material platform for realizing Kerr frequency combs—silicon nitride on insulator(SNOI)in comparison with other material platforms.Moreover,we discuss the fabrication methods,process optimization as well as tuning and measurement schemes of SNOI-based Kerr frequency combs.Furthermore,we highlight several emerging applications of Kerr frequency combs in metrology,including spectroscopy,ranging,and timing.Finally,we summarize this review and envision the future development of chip-scale Kerr frequency combs from the viewpoint of theory,material platforms,and tuning methods.展开更多
