The increasing dependence on data highlights the need for a detailed understanding of its behavior,encompassing the challenges involved in processing and evaluating it.However,current research lacks a comprehensive structure for measuring the worth of data elements,hindering effective navigation of the changing digital environment.This paper aims to fill this research gap by introducing the innovative concept of“data components.”It proposes a graphtheoretic representation model that presents a clear mathematical definition and demonstrates the superiority of data components over traditional processing methods.Additionally,the paper introduces an information measurement model that provides a way to calculate the information entropy of data components and establish their increased informational value.The paper also assesses the value of information,suggesting a pricing mechanism based on its significance.In conclusion,this paper establishes a robust framework for understanding and quantifying the value of implicit information in data,laying the groundwork for future research and practical applications. 展开更多

In order to construct the data mining frame for the generic project risk research, the basic definitions of the generic project risk element were given, and then a new model of the generic project risk element was presented with the definitions. From the model, data mining method was used to acquire the risk transmission matrix from the historical databases analysis. The quantitative calculation problem among the generic project risk elements was solved. This method deals with well the risk element transmission problems with limited states. And in order to get the limited states, fuzzy theory was used to discrete the historical data in historical databases. In an example, the controlling risk degree is chosen as P(Rs≥2) ≤0.1, it means that the probability of risk state which is not less than 2 in project is not more than 0.1, the risk element R3 is chosen to control the project, respectively. The result shows that three risk element transmission matrix can be acquired in 4 risk elements, and the frequency histogram and cumulative frequency histogram of each risk element are also given. 展开更多

Finite Element Simulation of Flexible Roll Forming with Supplemented Material Data and the Experimental Verification 被引量:8

Flexible roll forming is a promising manufacturing method for the production of variable cross section products. Considering the large plastic strain in this forming process which is much larger than that of uniform deformation phase of uniaxial tensile test, the widely adopted method of simulating the forming processes with non-supplemented material data from uniaxial tensile test will certainly lead to large error. To reduce this error, the material data is supplemented based on three constitutive models. Then a finite element model of a six passes flexible roll forming process is established based on the supplemented material data and the original material data from the uniaxial tensile test. The flexible roll forming experiment of a B pillar reinforcing plate is carried out to verify the proposed method. Final cross section shapes of the experimental and the simulated results are compared. It is shown that the simulation calculated with supplemented material data based on Swift model agrees well with the experimental results, while the simulation based on original material data could not predict the actual deformation accurately. The results indicate that this material supplement method is reliable and indispensible, and the simulation model can well reflect the real metal forming process. Detailed analysis of the distribution and history of plastic strain at different positions are performed. A new material data supplement method is proposed to tackle the problem which is ignored in other roll forming simulations, and thus the forming process simulation accuracy can be greatly improved. 展开更多

A multivariate statistical analysis was performed on multi-element soil geochemical data from the Koda Hill-Bulenga gold prospects in the Wa-Lawra gold belt, northwest Ghana. The objectives of the study were to define gold relationships with other trace elements to determine possible pathfinder elements for gold from the soil geochemical data. The study focused on seven elements, namely, Au, Fe, Pb, Mn, Ag, As and Cu. Factor analysis and hierarchical cluster analysis were performed on the analyzed samples. Factor analysis explained 79.093% of the total variance of the data through three factors. This had the gold factor being factor 3, having associations of copper, iron, lead and manganese and accounting for 20.903% of the total variance. From hierarchical clustering, gold was also observed to be clustering with lead, copper, arsenic and silver. There was further indication that, gold concentrations were lower than that of its associations. It can be inferred from the results that, the occurrence of gold and its associated elements can be linked to both primary dispersion from underlying rocks and secondary processes such as lateritization. This data shows that Fe and Mn strongly associated with gold, and alongside Pb, Ag, As and Cu, these elements can be used as pathfinders for gold in the area, with ferruginous zones as targets. 展开更多

Optimizing Data Collection Path in Sensor Networks with Mobile Elements

Exploiting mobile elements (MEs) to accomplish data collection in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) can improve the energy efficiency of sensor nodes, and prolong network lifetime. However, it will lead to large data collection latency for the network, which is unacceptable for data-critical applications. In this paper, we address this problem by minimizing the traveling length of MEs. Our methods mainly consist of two steps: we first construct a virtual grid network and select the minimal stop point set (SPS) from it; then, we make optimal scheduling for the MEs based on the SPS in order to minimize their traveling length. Different implementations of genetic algorithm (GA) are used to solve the problem. Our methods are evaluated by extensive simulations. The results show that these methods can greatly reduce the traveling length of MEs, and decrease the data collection latency. 展开更多

A new method is introduced to suppress the noise in seismic data processing. Based on the subtle difference in shape between the noise and the actual signal, we introduce morphologic filtering into seismic data processing. From the shape and the S/N we can see that the effect of morphologic filtering is superior to other methods like id-value filtering, neighbor average filtering, etc. The SNR of the signal after morphological filtering is comparatively great. In addition, the precision of the seismic data after morphological filtering is high. The characteristics of the actual signal, such as frequency and amplitude, are preserved. We give an example of the real seismic data processing using morphological filtering, in which the actual signal is retained, while the random high intensity noise was removed. 展开更多

In this paper, multi-scaled morphology is introduced into the digital processing domain for land seismic data. First, we describe the basic theory of multi-scaled morphology image decomposition of exploration seismic waves; second, we illustrate how to use multi-scaled morphology for seismic data processing using two real examples. The first example demonstrates suppressing the surface waves in pre-stack seismic records using multi-scaled morphology decomposition and reconstitution and the other example demonstrates filtering different interference waves on the seismic record. Multi-scaled morphology filtering separates signal from noise by the detailed differences of the wave shapes. The successful applications suggest that multi-scaled morphology has a promising application in seismic data processing. 展开更多

With the increase of pipelines, corrosion leakage accidents happen frequently. Therefore, nondestructive testing technology is important for ensuring the safe operation of the pipelines and energy mining. In this paper, the structure and principle of magnetic flux leakage (MFL) in-line inspection system is introduced first. Besides, a mathematic model of the system according to the ampere circuit rule, flux continuity theorem, and column coordinate transform is built, and the magnetic flux density in every point of space is calculated based on the theory of finite element analysis. Then we analyze and design the disposition of measurement section probes and sensors combining both three-axis MFL in-line inspection and multi-sensor fusion technology. Its advantage is that the three-axis changes of magnetic flux leakage field are measured by the multi-probes at the same time, so we can determine various defects accurately. Finally, the theory of finite element analysis is used to build a finite element simulation model, and the relationship between defects and MFL inspection signals is studied. Simulation and experiment results verify that the method not only enhances the detection ability to different types of defects but also improves the precision and reliability of the inspection system. 展开更多

Referring to regional tectonic stress field and taking the effect of gravity into account, the paper constrains properly the model boundary and then computes the displacement of each nodal point and the strain and stress of each element by using the program from the 3 D linear elastic finite method. The relationship between the distribution feature of the crustal stress field and seismicity is discussed on the basis of analyzing contour maps of maximum principal compressive stress in the upper, middle and lower crusts. 展开更多

In general,the displacement fields can be directly obtained from the measurement,however in mechanical analysis strain fields are preferred.To extract strain fields from noisy displacement fields is always a challenging topic.In this study,a finite element method for smoothing displacement fields and calculating strain fields is proposed.An experimental test case on a holed aluminum specimen under tension is applied to validate this method.The heterogeneous displacement fields are measured by digital image correlation(DIC).By this proposed method,the result shows that the measuring noise on experimental displacement fields can be successfully removed,and strain fields can be reconstructed in the arbitrary area. 展开更多

A general spatial interpolation method for tidal properties has been developed by solving a partial differential equation with a combination of different orders of harmonic operators using a mixed finite element method. Numerically, the equation is solved implicitly without iteration on an unstructured triangular mesh grid. The paper demonstrates the performance of the method for tidal property fields with different characteristics, boundary complexity, number of input data points, and data point distribution. The method has been successfully applied under several different tidal environments, including an idealized distribution in a square basin, coamplitude and cophase lines in the Taylor semi-infiite rotating channel, and tide coamplitude and cophase lines in the Bohai Sea and Chesapeake Bay. Compared to Laplace’s equation that NOAA/NOS currently uses for interpolation in hydrographic and oceanographic applications, the multiple-order harmonic equation method eliminates the problem of singularities at data points, and produces interpolation results with better accuracy and precision. 展开更多

An investigation is carried out on the problem involved in 4D variational data assimilation (VDA) with constraint conditions based on a finite-element shallow-water equation model. In the investigation, the adjoint technology, penalty method and augmented Lagrangian method are used in constraint optimization field to minimize the defined constraint objective functions. The results of the numerical experiments show that the optimal solutions are obtained if the functions reach the minima. VDA with constraint conditions controlling the growth of gravity oscillations is efficient to eliminate perturbation and produces optimal initial field. It seems that this method can also be applied to the problem in numerical weather prediction.
