A Phrase Topic Model Based on Distributed Representation

Traditional topic models have been widely used for analyzing semantic topics from electronic documents.However,the obvious defects of topic words acquired by them are poor in readability and consistency.Only the domain experts are possible to guess their meaning.In fact,phrases are the main unit for people to express semantics.This paper presents a Distributed Representation-Phrase Latent Dirichlet Allocation(DR-Phrase LDA)which is a phrase topic model.Specifically,we reasonably enhance the semantic information of phrases via distributed representation in this model.The experimental results show the topics quality acquired by our model is more readable and consistent than other similar topic models.

Layers of the Determiner Phrase in Mandarin Chinese

There are three probabilities to claim that Mandarin Chinese has multiple Determiner Phrase （DP） structures： （1） Simpson （2001） takes “de” in nominal phrase as the head of the structure： “Zhangsan de shu” is a DP and “de” is the head D. In this theory, when “de” and demonstratives like “this/that” appear in the same structure, there is going to be a multiple DP structure. （2） Huang, Li ＆ Li （2008） take both pronouns and demonstratives as the heads of the appositive structures like “tamen zhe sange haizi”. In this opinion, Mandarin Chinese has Split-D structures like Italian, Hungarian and Greek. （3） It seems that a Mandarin DP could have double heads D when two determiners both appear in the same structure. In “renhe zhe lei wenti”, the determiners “renhe” and “zhe” both appear. The structure is going to be analyzed as a multiple DP or a Split-D structure. However, the paper proves that Mandarin Chinese has no multiple DP structures, not like Italian, Hungarian or Greek.

区域高技术产业R&D活动效率分析与评价——基于一种新型改进两阶段网络DEA模型

在评价现有的R&D阶段效率测算方法的基础上,进一步通过资料分析和实际调研,改进两阶段投入产出指标体系,据此构建出一种新型的网络DEA模型。结合统计数据对我国28个省级区域的R&D活动进行测算,得到不同区域的R&D活动的整体效率、技术研发阶段效率、技术消化吸收阶段效率以及通过比较获得的区域效率协调度。针对不同区域的效率进行归类和比较,结合实际为优化我国区域创新、增强区域内外协调活动提出政策建议。

基于Bag-of-phrases的图像表示方法

在过去的几年,将图像内容表示为特定"视觉词"出现次数直方图的Bag-of-words模型,展示了其在图像内容分类方面的强大优势.然而,在这种统计特定"视觉词"出现次数直方图的模型中,"视觉词"之间的相互位置关系几乎被完全丢弃了.本文从分析Bag-of-words模型在文本分类和图像内容分类领域的对应关系的角度出发,提出一种加入"视觉词"之间的相互位置关系的图像表示方法—Bag-of-phrases模型.在标准数据集上验证了该图像表示方法对图像内容分类性能的影响.实验结果显示,本文提出的方法相对于传统的Bag-of-words模型可以达到更好的分类性能.

基于语义的多文种编码方案SemaCode

分析了现有的几种常用编码方案的优点和缺陷,并提出了一个基于语义的多文种编码方案SemaCode及其模型。SemaCode模型分为六个层次,分别为交换传输层、字符码位层、词码位层、属性层、语义层和应用接口层。SemaCode是一种面向信息处理、可扩展的多文种编码方案,它在码位层SemaCode以字符为单位编码,并在编码中嵌入文种信息;在词码位层提出了以语义为轴心,以词为单位的编码理念;在属性层引入了一种对编码进行描述的标签机制,使得编码具有良好的可描述性和可扩展性;另外,在语义层以及其他层次提出了基于码位和描述协议的语义表示方法,并使得SemaCode成为一种具有部分可计算特性的编码方案。最后,在与Unicode对比的基础上,分析了SemaCode所具有的优势。

基于统计特征的Quality Phrase挖掘方法

Quality Phrase挖掘是从文本语料库中提取有意义短语的过程,是文档摘要、信息检索等任务的基础。然而现有的无监督短语挖掘方法存在候选短语质量不高、Quality Phrase的特征权重平均分配的问题。本文提出基于统计特征的Quality Phrase挖掘方法,将频繁N-Gram挖掘、多词短语组合性约束及单词短语拼写检查相结合,保证了候选短语的质量;引入公共知识库对候选短语添加类别标签,实现了Quality Phrase特征权重的分配,并考虑特征之间相互影响设置惩罚因子调整权重比例;按照候选短语的特征加权函数得分排序,提取Quality Phrase。实验结果表明,基于统计特征的Quality Phrase挖掘方法明显提高了短语挖掘的精度,与最优的无监督短语挖掘方法相比,精确率、召回率及F1-Score分别提升了5.97%,1.77%和4.02%。

Origin of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Cuba in the 19th Century from Its Main Exponents and Some Notable Medical Descendants in the 20th Century

The Cuban people are made up of three major migratory currents, the Chinese are one of them. They brought their culture, the methods, and procedures of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) in the 19th century. Few were able to return and so they created families in Cuba;some of their descendants dedicated themselves to medicine. In order to investigate the practices that were predecessors of TCM in Cuba in the 19th century, a qualitative phenomenological research was carried out, reviewing what was published by various sources, applying documentary analysis, logical historical analysis, abstraction, synthesis, and systematization of the results on the regularities of the work and human behavior of Chinese doctors in the Cuban 19th and 20th centuries. This made it possible to identify six Chinese doctors in the 19th century in Cuba who gave rise to the beginning of some practices of TCM in Cuba, and five from the 20th century, descendants of coolies who dedicated themselves to other specialties of medicine. It was found that despite their geographical and time disperse, they were all notorious for their outstanding professional and human behavior, with a trail of accumulated successes in achieving “almost the impossible” with the patient. They have left their mark on Cuban culture.

LOOSE PHRASE EXTRACTION WITH n-BEST ALIGNMENTS

Loose phrase extraction method is proposed and applied for phrase-based statistical ma- chine translation. The method extracts phrase pairs that are not strictly consistent with word align- ments. Two types of constraints on word positions are investigated for this method. Furthermore, n-best alignments are introduced for phrase extraction instead of the one-best. Experimental results show that the proposed approach outperforms the baseline system, Pharaoh system, for both one-best and n-best alignments.

A Dual Attention Encoder-Decoder Text Summarization Model

A worthy text summarization should represent the fundamental content of the document.Recent studies on computerized text summarization tried to present solutions to this challenging problem.Attention models are employed extensively in text summarization process.Classical attention techniques are utilized to acquire the context data in the decoding phase.Nevertheless,without real and efficient feature extraction,the produced summary may diverge from the core topic.In this article,we present an encoder-decoder attention system employing dual attention mechanism.In the dual attention mechanism,the attention algorithm gathers main data from the encoder side.In the dual attentionmodel,the system can capture and producemore rational main content.The merging of the two attention phases produces precise and rational text summaries.The enhanced attention mechanism gives high score to text repetition to increase phrase score.It also captures the relationship between phrases and the title giving them higher score.We assessed our proposed model with or without significance optimization using ablation procedure.Our model with significance optimization achieved the highest performance of 96.7%precision and the least CPU time among other models in both training and sentence extraction.
