Experimental Study on the Effect of Fine-Grained Soil Content on the Freezing Strength of Aeolian Sand-Cement Interface

In cold regions,understanding the freezing strength of the interface between soil and structure is crucial for designing frost-resistant foundations.To investigate how the content of cement powder in aeolian sand affects this strength,we conducted direct shear tests under various conditions such as different fine-grained soil content,normal stress,and initial moisture content of the soil.By analyzing parameters like soil properties,and volume of ice content,and using the Mohr-Coulomb strength theory to define interface strength,we aimed to indirectly measure the cementation strength of the interface.Our findings revealed that as the particle content increased,the interface stress-strain curves became noticeably stiffer.We also observed a positive linear relationship between freezing strength and silt content,while the initial moisture content of the soil did not significantly impact the strengthening effect of fine-grained soil on freezing strength.Moreover,we discovered that as the powder content increased,the force binding the ice to the interface decreased,while the friction angle at the interface increased.However,the cohesion force at the interface remained relatively unchanged.Overall,our analysis suggests that the increase in freezing strength due to fine-grained soil content is primarily due to the heightened friction between aeolian sand and the interface. 展开更多

The expressions for the elastic moduli and the yield strengths under tensile and compressive loadings were derived which take account of thermal residual stresses. The asymmetries in the elastic modulus and the yield strength were interpreted using the derived expressions and the obtained results of the stress calculations. Microbially or enzyme induced carbonate precipitation has emerged to be a new type of soil improvement method.However,it appears that the biocementation process is affected by many factors and a common understanding on the control factors on the biocement effect has not been reached.This paper attempts to identify the main factors that controlling the MICP or EICP effect through an in-depth discussion on the fundamentals of biocementation process.Similar to other cemented granular materials,biocemented soil is a structural soil composite consisting of soil skeleton and biocement force chain or biocement network.The strength and stiffness of the biocemented soil is controlled by the reinforcement effect of the biocement network on the soil skeleton or the interplay of the soil skeleton and precipitates.The contribution of the strength by soil skeleton is affected by the soil types and soil properties,while the contribution of the precipitates is through the distribution of the biocement network and the properties of the precipitates. 展开更多

Roof disaster has always been an important factor restricting coal mine safety production.Acidic effect can reform the rock mass structure to weaken the macroscopic strength characteristics,which is an effective way to control the hard limestone roof.In this study,the effects of various factors on the reaction characteristics and mechanical properties of limestone were analyzed.The results show that the acid with stronger hydrogen production capacity after ionization(pK_(a)<0)has more prominent damage to the mineral grains of limestone.When pKa increases from−8.00 to 15.70,uniaxial compressive strength and elastic modulus of limestone increase by 117.22%and 75.98%.The influence of acid concentration is manifested in the dissolution behavior of mineral crystals,the crystal defects caused by large-scale acid action will lead to the deterioration of limestone strength,and the strength after 15%concentration reformation can be reduced by 59.42%.The effect of acidification time on limestone has stages and is the most obvious in the initial metathesis reaction stage(within 60 min).The key to the strength damage of acidified limestone is the participation of hydrogen ions in the reaction system.Based on the analytic hierarchy process method,the influence weights of acid type,acid concentration and acidification time on strength are 24.30%,59.54% and 16.16%,respectively.The research results provide theoretical support for the acidification control of hard limestone roofs in coal mines. 展开更多

Microstructure observations and drop-weight tear test were performed to study the microstructures and mechanical properties of two kinds of industrial X70 and two kinds of industrial X80 grade pipeline steels. The effective grain size and the fraction of high angle grain boundaries in the pipeline steels were investigated by electron backscatter diffraction analysis. It is found that the low temperature toughness of the pipeline steels depends not only on the effective grain size, but also on other microstructural factors such as martensite-austenite (MA) constituents and precipitates. The morphology and size of MA constituents significantly affect the mechanical properties of the pipeline steels. Nubby MA constituents with large size have significant negative effects on the toughness, while smaller granular MA constituents have less harmful effects. Similarly, larger Ti-rich nitrides with sharp corners have a strongly negative effect on the toughness, while fine, spherical Nb-rich carbides have a less deleterious effect. The low temperature toughness of the steels is independent of the fraction of high angle grain boundaries. 展开更多

The influence of two main characteristics of steel fiber, the aspect ratio (Df) and volume fraction (ρf), on the bending strength of Layered Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete (LSFRC) is investigated by using orthogonal test. Via the variance analysis on the experimental results and trend analysis on the two characteristics, Df is found significantly related to the bending strength of LSFRC. The influence ratio is 63.3%. The bending strength of LSFRC increases if Df increases, makes better when Df reaches 100. ρf has ordinary influence on the bending strength of LSFRC. The influence ratio is 29.2%. Other characteristics, such as the shape of steel fiber and the mix proportion, have less influence. The best ρf contributing to the bending strength of LSFRC is 1.5 %. If ρf is greater than 1.5%, it has negative influence on the bending strength of LSFRC. So, ρf makes a limited contribution to the bending strength of LSFRC. 展开更多

In order to observe the effect of each factor influencing the strength of lime-fly ash loess and find out the relationship between each other, this paper adopted orthogonal test design to conduct unconfined compression tests. The result shows that 90d strength can be considered to calculate the strength of lime-fly ash loess in practice. And the most important factor to influence the 90d strength of lime-fly ash loess is the amount of fly ash and lime, the second is moisture content, and then is the ratio of fly ash to lime (1:K). In view of the problem that it's difficult to accurately grasp the influence range and transmission path of the vehicle top design requirements on the underlying design parameters. Applying directed-weighted complex network to product parameter model is an important method that can clarify the relationships between product parameters and establish the top-down design of a product. The relationships of the product parameters of each node are calculated via a simple path searching algorithm, and the main design parameters are extracted by analysis and comparison. A uniform definition of the index formula for out-in degree can be provided based on the analysis of out- in-degree width and depth and control strength of train carriage body parameters. Vehicle gauge, axle load, crosswind and other parameters with higher values of the out-degree index are the most important boundary condi- tions; the most considerable performance indices are the parameters that have higher values of the out-in-degree index including torsional stiffness, maximum testing speed, service life of the vehicle, and so on; the main design parameters contain train carriage body weight, train weight per extended metre, train height and other parameters with higher values of the in-degree index. The network not only provides theoretical guidance for exploring the relationship of design parameters, but also further enriches the appli- cation of forward design method to high-speed trains. 展开更多

Spheres of Urban Influence and Factors in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Metropolitan Region Based on Viewpoint of Administrative Division Adjustment 被引量:3

The coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei has been elevated as China's important strategy. And, the priority in considering how to bring the maximum effect of their coordinated development into play is to delineate the spheres of urban influence with regard to the cities in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Metropolitan Region. By building an evaluation index system of urban comprehensive strength, this paper applies the principal component analysis method to determine centrality strength of the cities, and the breakpoint theory and weighted Voronoi diagram to identify the spheres of urban influence in all central cities of the region. Results show that 13 central cities within the region greatly differ in strength, which can be classified into four tiers and that the spheres of urban influence do not have a high goodness of fit with administrative jurisdiction scope. Cities like Beijing, Tianjin, Shijiazhuang and Handan have larger spheres of urban, spheres of urban influence in Tangshan and Qinhuangdao are basically consistent with their administrative jurisdiction scopes, and seven cities including Langfang and Baoding have smaller spheres of urban influence. So according to these cities' comprehensive strength and spheres of influence, the region can be divided into five plates: Beijing, Tianjin, Shijiazhuang, Tangshan and Handan. The major influence factors for inconsistency between spheres of urban influence and spheres of jurisdiction include difference in urban administrative ranking, small number of central cities with weak strength, discrepancy in the number of counties under jurisdiction, unreasonable spheres of jurisdiction and diversity in topographical conditions. In order to solve the imbalance in the spheres of urban influence and those of jurisdiction and better facilitate the coordinated development of the region, it is advised to adjust administrative areas so as to obtain more optimized urban spatial layout and more reasonable urban scale hierarchy system. 展开更多

Sinter body strength, which reflects the strength of sinter, plays an important role in the improvement of sinter. In this study, the sinter body strengths of iron ores were measured using a microsintering method. The relationship between the chemical composition and sinter body strength was discussed. Moreover, sinter-pot tests were performed. The effects of sinter body strength on the sintering indexes were then elucidated, and the bottom limit of sinter body strength of blending ores was confirmed. In the results, the compressive strengths(CSs) of iron ores are observed to decrease with the increasing of the contents of loss on ignition(LOI), SiO 2, and Al2O3; however, LOI of less than 3wt% does not substantially influence the CSs of fine ores. In the case of similar mineral composition, the porosity, in particular, the ratio between the number of large pores and the total number of pores, strongly influences the sinter body strength. With an increase of the blending-ore CSs used in sinter-pot tests, the yield, productivity, and tumbler strength increase, and the solid fuel consumption decreases. The CSs of the blending ores only slightly affect the sintering time. The CS bottom limit of the blending ores is 310 N. When the CSs of the blending ores increase by 10%, the yield, productivity, and tumbler index increase by 1.9%, 2.8%, and 2.0%, respectively, and the solid fuel consumption decreases by 1.9%. 展开更多

The anti-aircraft system plays an irreplaceable role in modern combat. An anti-aircraft system consists of various types of functional entities interacting to destroy the hostile aircraft moving in high speed. The connecting structure of combat entities in it is of great importance for supporting the normal process of the system. In this paper, we explore the optimizing strategy of the structure of the anti-aircraft network by establishing extra communication channels between the combat entities.Firstly, the thought of combat network model(CNM) is borrowed to model the anti-aircraft system as a heterogeneous network. Secondly, the optimization objectives are determined as the survivability and the accuracy of the system. To specify these objectives, the information chain and accuracy chain are constructed based on CNM. The causal strength(CAST) logic and influence network(IN) are introduced to illustrate the establishment of the accuracy chain. Thirdly, the optimization constraints are discussed and set in three aspects: time, connection feasibility and budget. The time constraint network(TCN) is introduced to construct the timing chain and help to detect the timing consistency. Then, the process of the multi-objective optimization of the structure of the anti-aircraft system is designed.Finally, a simulation is conducted to prove the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method. Non-dominated sorting based genetic algorithm-Ⅱ(NSGA2) is used to solve the multiobjective optimization problem and two other algorithms including non-dominated sorting based genetic algorithm-Ⅲ(NSGA3)and strength Pareto evolutionary algorithm-Ⅱ(SPEA2) are employed as comparisons. Design change is one of the most common activities in design and development of mechanical products, and the change will affected by the design and maintenance of the products. It is not uncommon that multiple components might run out of order simultaneously during the use of a product, which would have significant influences on the product performance. Such kind of multi-component failure must be considered early in the product design stage, therefore it is necessary to study multiple design changes incurred by multi-component failure. Existing studies on the design change only focus on single change and ignore multiple simultaneous changes. To address this problem, a change influence network model is establishes, and the propagation path of multiple changes on the change influence network is described according to the change propagation characteristics of mechanical products. By analyzing the degree of dependence between the nodes and the absorption situations of nodes to change propagation, the possible paths of change propagation on the change influence network are determined, and based on which, calculation of the change influence is carried out, which provides decision-making support for product designers. Finally, the feasibility of the proposed methodology is demonstrated by taking a household juicer for case study. 展开更多

For the characteristics of dredging silt, such as high moisture content, low strength and high compressibility, the traditional solidification method can no longer better solve this kind of silt problem.?This paper mainly studies the fluidized solidification treatment of high water content sludge, not only makes the silt soil achieve a good solidification effect, but also the project cost is lower, the construction method is more environmentally friendly and green. The influencing factors of the solidified soil are mainly investigated by the unconfined compression test and the fluidity test. The experiment result shows?1)When the cement to sludge mass ratio (RCS) is 0.09?-?0.16 and the fly ash to cement mass ratio (RFC) is 0.35?-?0.80, as the amount of?RFC?increases, the flow rate of the solidified soil gradually decreases. With the increase of time, the liquidity is significantly reduced, and the influence of cement on the fluidity is greater than that of fly ash.?2) When?RCS?= 0.09?-?0.16, the strength of the sludge solidified soil at 28?d age increased by 4.5?-?6 times. 3)?When?RCS?= 0.09?-?0.16 and?RFC?= 35%?-?80%, the intensity of 14?d increased by 1.23 times than that of 7?d, and the intensity of 28 days increased by 1.29 times than that of 14?d. The granular dynamic shear strength is the same as that of the static one in nature, as found from numerous experiments and investigations. The shear strength is equal to the sum of the internal frictional force and the cohesive force. The influences of type, shape, size distribution, pore ratio, moisture content and variation of vibration velocity on the dynamic shear strength of granules were studied. Based on numerous vibration shear experiments, the authors investigate the mechanism of dynamic shear strength in granules in terms of the fundamental principle and the relevant theory of modern tribology. 展开更多

巷道围岩的塑性区形态对巷道的破坏形式及破坏程度有重要影响。为探究三向应力场下塑性区形态演化过程,基于弹性力学推导了轴向应力表达式,并依据蝶形塑性区边界方程求解思路,确定了三维强度准则下三向塑性区近似解的求解方法。通过等... 巷道围岩的塑性区形态对巷道的破坏形式及破坏程度有重要影响。为探究三向应力场下塑性区形态演化过程,基于弹性力学推导了轴向应力表达式,并依据蝶形塑性区边界方程求解思路,确定了三维强度准则下三向塑性区近似解的求解方法。通过等球应力p、等偏应力q以及不同Lode角θσ来确定围岩应力加载方案,对不同三维强度准则下的围岩塑性区形态演化规律进行深入研究,论证了蝶形破坏的准则低敏感性。基于蝶形破坏理论对羊场湾160206回风巷道的非对称变形破坏机制及控制技术进行深入分析。研究结果表明:(1)在相同p、q及不同θσ的应力加载条件下,5种强度准则下的塑性区形态均呈现圆形、类椭圆及蝶形的演化规律,且每种强度准则在相同θσ的情况下围岩的塑性区形态基本一致。(2)相同应力大小、不同应力方向的加载方案下,围岩的塑性区形态大不相同。圆巷围岩的塑性区形态很大程度上由水平侧压比决定,轴向侧压对围岩的塑性区尺寸影响较大,对塑性区形态影响较小。(3)羊场湾160206回风巷道在叠加采动影响下顶板呈现非对称大变形破坏,基于蝶形塑性区支护思路,应用非对称锚杆索+超前单元支架+钻孔卸压的协同支护技术,取得了良好的支护效果。 展开更多

在国际交往日益频繁、国际竞争持续深入的当下,国际传播成为各国取得竞争优势的重要一极。与传统意义上以大众媒介为主要场域不同,广义国际传播包括主体和对象之间一切因为互动引发的信息交换行为,深刻作用于参与者的国际权力地位和文... 在国际交往日益频繁、国际竞争持续深入的当下,国际传播成为各国取得竞争优势的重要一极。与传统意义上以大众媒介为主要场域不同,广义国际传播包括主体和对象之间一切因为互动引发的信息交换行为,深刻作用于参与者的国际权力地位和文明影响能力。因此,国际传播战略制定的意义重大,必须反映国际竞争的全局性、系统性和长期性。基于此,从现实主义和建构主义出发,将国家综合实力与广义文化近似程度确定为国际传播战略模型(受众矩阵)的横纵坐标,从而区隔出四个象限,各自衍生出一种国际传播战略。首先是综合实力强、广义文化相近的“同源与责任战略”,强调和突出国际传播主体与对象同文同种的“自我认同”,渲染强大前者在同文化圈领导或核心的负责任国家形象;其次是综合实力强、广义文化相异的“标杆与说服战略”,即文化相异、综合实力较强的国际传播主体应努力跨越文化鸿沟,示范和说服国际传播对象明确认识和接受这一事实并开展建设性交流和实质性合作;再次是综合实力弱、广义文化相近的“共情与跟随战略”,也就是在“同文化、弱实力”比较条件下,主体通过国际传播强调双方广义文化近似程度并清晰表达“跟随”战略意图,引发受众共情效应,从而最大化保护国家安全和其他重要利益;最后是综合实力弱、广义文化相异的“互利与展演战略”,即以普世性利益为交流合作切入点、以不同文化共鸣之处为展演,弱势方通过国际传播使强势方认可其国家形象并接受合作诚意。 展开更多
