Recent Situation of Acupuncture and Moxibustion in the Treatment of Stomach Pain with Deficiency and Cold of Spleen and Stomach

Stomachache is one of the most common diseases of digestive system, among which stomach pain of deficiency cold of spleen and stomach is the most common. Acupuncture and moxibustion therapy as an external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine for relieving stomach pain due to deficiency of spleen and stomach, has the advantages of convenient operation, small adverse reactions and remarkable curative effect, which is easy for patients to accept. In this paper, acupuncture and moxibustion therapy such as moxibustion and warm acupuncture therapy for stomach pain of spleen and stomach deficiency cold type is summarized to provide evidence-based basis for clinical treatment of stomach pain of spleen and stomach deficiency cold type.

Clinical experience of Professor Xie Jingri in the deficiency-cold of spleen and stomach type of complex peptic ulcer

Objective:To summarize Professor Xie's clinical experience in treating the deficiency cold of spleen and stomach type of complex peptic ulcer.Methods:through the observation of the curative effect of the patients with the deficiency cold of spleen and stomach type of complex peptic ulcer in the outpatient department of liver,spleen and stomach department of our hospital,the dialectical application and clinical experience of Professor Xie Jingri's self-made prescription in clinical practice were summarized.Results:Professor Xie Jingri's self-made prescription can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of patients with the deficiency cold of spleen and stomach type of complex peptic ulcer,and through individual syndrome differentiation and treatment,make the self-made prescription vary from person to person,clinical addition and subtraction,so as to further improve the clinical efficacy of patients.Conclusion:Professor Xie Jingri's self-made prescription is effective in treating complex peptic ulcer of spleen stomach deficiency cold type,which is worthy of further clinical application and promotion.

Preventive and therapeutic effect of long snake moxibustion on psoriasis with yang deficiency and external cold syndrome based on the theory of "treatment of winter disease in summer"

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease with multiple layers of silvery white scales on the surface of erythema papule as the main clinical characteristics,of which yang-deficiency external cold psoriasis is refractory,recurrent and severe in winter and mild in summer,which has a great impact on patients'physical and mental health and quality of life.Traditional Chinese medicine has unique insights in the treatment of psoriasis,both curative effect and safety,have obvious advantages.Based on the concept of"winter disease and summer treatment",long-snake moxibustion gives full play to its functions of warming the kidney,invigorating the marrow,warming the meridians,activating blood circulation and removing blood stasis,so as to restore the deficiency of Yang in patients with psoriasis with external cold syndrome,enhance disease resistance,and prevent psoriasis recurrence or aggravation in winter.Therefore,based on the theory of"winter disease and summer treatment",this paper preliminarily discusses the mechanism of long-snake moxibustion in the prevention and treatment of psoriasis with external cold syndrome of Yang deficiency,and provides new ideas and directions for the prevention and treatment of psoriasis with traditional Chinese medicine.

Clinical study on warm needling moxibustion plus isokinetic muscle strength training in treating knee osteoarthritis

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of warm needling moxibustion plus isokinetic muscle strength training for knee osteoarthritis(KOA).Methods:A total of 135 patients with KOA due to Yang deficiency and coagulated cold were randomized into a warm needling moxibustion group,an isokinetic muscle strength training group,and a combined group by the random number table method,with 45 cases in each group.The warm needling moxibustion group was treated with warm needling moxibustion.The isokinetic muscle strength training group was treated with isokinetic muscle strength training.The combined group was treated with warm needling moxibustion plus isokinetic muscle strength training.The Western Ontario and McMaster Universities osteoarthritis index(WOMAC)and visual analog scale(VAS)were scored before and after treatment,and isokinetic indicators of peak torque(PT),total work(TW)and average power(AP)were evaluated.Results:The total effective rate of the combined group was 92.5%,which was significantly higher than 83.3%in the warm needling moxibustion group(P<0.05)and 72.5%in the isokinetic muscle strength training group(P<0.05).After treatment,the scores of WOMAC(total,pain,stiffness,and function)and VAS,and isokinetic indicators(PT,TW,and AP)were all improved compared with those before treatment(P<0.05)in all three groups.The differences among the three groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).The WOMAC total score and score of stiffness in the combined group were lower than those in the warm needling moxibustion group and the isokinetic muscle strength training group(P<0.05),and the scores in the warm needling moxibustion group were lower than those in the isokinetic muscle strength training group(P<0.05).The WOMAC score of pain and VAS score in the warm needling moxibustion group and the combined group were lower than those in the isokinetic muscle strength training group(P<0.05).The differences between the warm needling moxibustion group and the combined group were not statistically significant(P>0.05).The WOMAC function score in the combined group was lower than that in the warm needling moxibustion group and the isokinetic muscle strength training group(P<0.05),while there was no statistical difference between the warm needling moxibustion group and the isokinetic muscle strength training group(P>0.05).PT,TW,and AP in the combined group were higher than those in the warm needling moxibustion group and the isokinetic muscle strength training group(P<0.05),and they were higher in the isokinetic muscle strength training group than in the warm needling moxibustion group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Warm needling moxibustion plus isokinetic muscle strength training has a better effect in the treatment of KOA due to Yang deficiency and coagulated cold than either warm needling moxibustion or isokinetic muscle strength training alone.

Curative efficacy of extract from Ganjiangdazao recipe on functional dyspepsia in rats

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the efficacy of the extract from Ganjiangdazao recipe(EGR)on functional dyspepsia in rats with spleen-stomach deficiency cold pattern(SSDCP)in terms of Traditional Chinese Medicine,and to investigate its pharmacodynamics.METHODS:Sixty Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into the control group,SSDCP group,low-EGR SSDCP group,high-EGR SSDCP group,probiotics group,EGR group.SSDCP model was induced by gavage with the 0℃edible vinegar.The symptoms and manifestations were scored by method from the relative literature,the ecological changes in cecal microflora was analyzed by 16SrRNA high-throughput sequencing technology,gastric tissues were treated by immunohistochemistry,the levels of related biochemical components related to the gastrointestinal functions were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and colorimetry,gastric juice was measured by pH meter,blood pressure measurement by trapping tail method,surface temperature measured by infrared thermal imaging,and the content of 6-gingerol in the serum was determined by liquid-mass chromatography before and after EGR was given.RESULTS:It was found that EGR could effectively relieve the symptoms and manifestations of the SSDCP rats(P<0.05);the value of the relative abundance of Lactobacillus,Streptococcus,Enterococcus and Coprobacillus increased,while the value of the relative abundance of Clostridium decreased(P<0.05)in the cecal microflora in the SSDCP rats after high-EGR administration;It was also found that EGR had no substantial effect on the related biochemical components related to the gastrointestinal functions of in the SSDCP rats;and a certain amount of 6-gingerol was detected in the serum of EGR group.CONCLUSION:The pharmacodynamic site of EGR is the intestinal tract,and the mechanism behind the effect of EGR on SSDCP rats,involves increasing the beneficial bacteria and decreasing the proinflammatory bacteria in the intestinal tract.The blood pharmacodynamics of EGR remains to be further studied in the future.
