A novel delayed feedback controller is established under which the chaotic master and slave systems are synchronized with a guaranteed H∞ performance. Based on the Lyapunov stability theory, a delay-dependent condition is derived and formulated in the form of linear matrix inequality (LMI). This article considers delay dependent decentralized H∞ filtering for a class of uncertain interconnected systems, where the uncertainties are assumed to be time varying and satisfy the norm-bounded conditions. First, combining the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional approach and the delay integral inequality of matrices, a sufficient condition of the existence of the robust decentralized H∞ filter is derived, which makes the error systems asymptotically stable and satisfies the H∞ norm of the transfer function from noise input to error output less than the specified up-bound on the basis of the form of uncertainties. Then, the above sufficient condition is transformed to a system of easily solvable LMIs via a series of equivalent transformation. Finally, the numerical simulation shows the efficiency of the main results. 展开更多

This paper is concerned with the robust Hoo synchronization problem for a class of complex dynamical networks by applying the observer-based control. The proposed feedback control scheme is developed to ensure the asymptotic stability of the augmented system, to reconstruct the non-measurable state variables of each node and to improve the H∞ performance related to the synchronization error and observation error despite the external disturbance. Based on the Lyapunov stability theory, a synchronization criterion is obtained under which the controlled network can be robustly stabilized onto a desired state with a guaranteed H∞ performance. The controller and the observer gains can be given by the feasible solutions of a set of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The effectiveness of the proposed control scheme is demonstrated by a numerical example through simulation. 展开更多

Making use of linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach, a time-delay-dependent criterion for a discrete system with multi-time-delay to satisfy H ∞ performance indices is induced, and then a strategy for H ∞ state feedback control with delay values for plant with multi-time-delay is obtained. By solving corresponding LMI, a delay-dependent state feedback controller satisfying H ∞ performance indices is designed. Based on the delay-dependent Lyapunov functional method, a new delay-dependent robust H∞ fuzzy controller, which depends on the size of the delays and the derivative of the delays, is presented in term of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). For all admissible uncertainties and delays, the controller guarantees not only the asymptotic stability of the system but also the prescribed H∞ attenuation level. This paper is concerned with the non-fragile H∞ filter design problem for uncertain discrete-time Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy systems with time delay. To begin with, the T-S fuzzy system is transformed to an equivalent switching fuzzy system. Then, based on the piecewise Lyapunov function and matrix decoupling technique, a new delay-dependent non-fragile H∞ filtering method is proposed for the switching fuzzy system. The proposed condition is less conservative than the previous results. Since only a set of LMIs is involved, the filter parameters can be solved directly. The cluster synchronization problem of complex dynamical networks with each node being a Lurie system with exter- nal disturbances and time-varying delay is investigated in this paper. Some criteria for cluster synchronization with desired H∞ performance are presented by using a local linear control scheme. Firstly, sufficient conditions are established to realize cluster synchronization of the Lurie dynamical networks without time delay. Then, the notion of the cluster synchronized region is introduced, and some conditions guaranteeing the cluster synchronized region and unbounded cluster synchro- nized region are derived. Furthermore, the cluster synchronization and cluster synchronized region in the Lurie dynamical networks with time-varying delay are considered. This paper proposes an adaptive synchronization problem for the master and slave structure of linear systems with nonlinear perturbations and mixed time-varying delays comprising different discrete and distributed time delays. Using an appropriate Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional, some delay-dependent sufficient conditions and an adaptation law including the master-slave parame- ters are established for designing a delayed synchronization law in terms of linear matrix inequalities(LMIs). The time-varying controller guarantees the H ∞ synchronization of the two coupled master and slave systems regardless of their initial states. Particularly, it is shown that the synchronization speed can be controlled by adjusting the updated gain of the synchronization signal. A new model of the networks with disturbances in both master and slave systems is presented. By constructing a suitable Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional and using a reciprocally convex approach, a novel H∞ synchronization criterion for the networks concerned is established in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) which can be easily solved by various effective optimization algorithms. The exist researches of the magneto-rheological semi-active suspension(MSAS) control mainly focus on the design of control laws,which aim at obtaining an optimal control strategy to improve the ride comfort and handling stability.In the controller design,the stability of the MSAS system cannot be confirmed owing to the control input time delay considered little.In this paper,a quarter vehicle MSAS model with time-delay is built.Therefore,through formulating the sprung mass acceleration suitably as the optimization object,suspension deflection and tyre dynamic load and coulomb damping force as the constraint objects,with considering the control input time-delay,a delay-dependent state feedback H2/H∞ controller is designed.According to Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional theory,the sufficient conditions for asymptotic stability and the existence of delay-dependent H2/H∞ controller are obtained,and the controller design is transformed into the minimization problem for linear function through linear matrix inequality(LMI).Random road excitation simulations and experiments are carried out.The simulation and experiment results show that the design can preserve the closed-loop stability and achieve the performances for MSAS system in spite of the existence of the control input time-delay.The present study can provide an important basis and method for research on time-delay problem in MSAS and other chassis subsystems. 展开更多

In this paper, chaos synchronization in the presence of parameter uncertainty, observer gain perturbation and exogenous input disturbance is considered. A nonlinear non-fragile proportional-integral (PI) adaptive observer is designed for the synchronization of chaotic systems; its stability conditions based on the Lyapunov technique are derived. The observer proportional and integral gains, by converting the conditions into linear matrix inequality (LMI), are optimally selected from solutions that satisfy the observer stability conditions such that the effect of disturbance on the synchronization error becomes minimized. To show the effectiveness of the proposed method, simulation results for the synchronization of a Lorenz chaotic system with unknown parameters in the presence of an exogenous input disturbance and abrupt gain perturbation are reported. 展开更多
