The Learning management system(LMS)is now being used for uploading educational content in both distance and blended setups.LMS platform has two types of users:the educators who upload the content,and the students who have to access the content.The students,usually rely on text notes or books and video tutorials while their exams are conducted with formal methods.Formal assessments and examination criteria are ineffective with restricted learning space which makes the student tend only to read the educational contents and videos instead of interactive mode.The aim is to design an interactive LMS and examination video-based interface to cater the issues of educators and students.It is designed according to Human-computer interaction(HCI)principles to make the interactive User interface(UI)through User experience(UX).The interactive lectures in the form of annotated videos increase user engagement and improve the self-study context of users involved in LMS.The interface design defines how the design will interact with users and how the interface exchanges information.The findings show that interactive videos for LMS allow the users to have a more personalized learning experience by engaging in the educational content.The result shows a highly personalized learning experience due to the interactive video and quiz within the video. 展开更多

Using DM642 as the data processing core, the remote monitoring system is composed of video acquisition module, video processing module and communication module, which gives an implementation of class/mini driver module in DSP/BIOS integrated developing environment and also a common task module in application layer is achieved. The system realizes the entire functions of the analog video signal acquisition, H.264 video coding and Internet transmission. It provides the general connection for the future development and has good flexibility and extendibility. To enhance the efficiency of system modeling and optimization in the conceptual design stage of satellite parameters,a system modeling and optimization method based on System Modeling Language and Co-evolutionary Algorithm is proposed.At first,the objectives of satellite mission and optimization problems are clarified,and a design matrix of discipline structure is constructed to process the coupling relationship of design variables and constraints of the orbit,payload,power and quality disciplines.In order to solve the problem of increasing nonlinearity and coupling between these disciplines while using a standard collaborative optimization algorithm,an improved genetic algorithm is proposed and applied to system-level and discipline-level models.Finally,the CO model of satellite parameters is solved through the collaborative simulation of Cameo Systems Modeler(CSM)and MATLAB.The result obtained shows that the method proposed in this paper for the conceptual design phase of satellite parameters is efficient and feasible.It can shorten the project cycle effectively and additionally provide a reference for the optimal design of other complex projects. 展开更多

Background Mixed reality(MR)video fusion systems merge video imagery with 3D scenes to make the scene more realistic and help users understand the video content and temporal–spatial correlation between them,reducing the user′s cognitive load.MR video fusion are used in various applications;however,video fusion systems require powerful client machines because video streaming delivery,stitching,and rendering are computationally intensive.Moreover,huge bandwidth usage is another critical factor that affects the scalability of video-fusion systems.Methods Our framework proposes a fusion method for dynamically projecting video images into 3D models as textures.Results Several experiments on different metrics demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed framework.Conclusions The framework proposed in this study can overcome client limitations by utilizing remote rendering.Furthermore,the framework we built is based on browsers.Therefore,the user can test the MR video fusion system with a laptop or tablet without installing any additional plug-ins or application programs. 展开更多

This paper examines dependencies of voice and video contents on human perception of group (or inter-destination) synchronization error in remote learning by Quality of Experience (QoE) assessment. In our assessment, we use two videos and three voices (two voices for one video and one voice for the other video). We also investigate influences of silence periods in the voices and temporal relations between the voices and videos (called the tightly-coupled and loosely-coupled contents here). The voices are spoken by a teacher according to the videos. Each subject as a student assesses the group synchronization quality by watching each lecture video and the corresponding explanation voice, and then the subject answers whether he/she perceives the group synchronization error or not. As a result, assessment results illustrate that silence periods mitigate the perception rate of the error, and we can also find that we can more easily perceive the error for tightly-coupled contents than loosely-coupled ones. 展开更多

The use of remote sensing in the design of land use mapping allows analyses of landscape evolution during a certain period of time which helps studies in a global scope.The objective of this study is to identify and analyze changes in characteristics of rural land use in the municipality of Passo Fundo,located in the state of Rio Grande do Sul,Brazil,during the years 2001 and 2020,through images taken from the Landsat TM-7 and TM-8 satellites.Methodologically,satellite images were classified by supervised methods,generating thematic maps,and taking into account the following groups:tillage(growing area),forest,exposed soil and water resources.Results demonstrated that the process of connecting agricultural crop patches went from 5.495 in 2001 to a figure of 10.812 in 2020,thus having an increase of 96%. 展开更多

Raising the abstraction level is nowadays widely seen as a solution to bridge the gap between the increasing system complexity and the low design productivity. For this, several system-level design tools and methodologies have been introduced to efficiently explore the design space of heterogeneous signal processing systems. In this paper, we demonstrate the effectiveness and the flexibility of the Sesame/Artemis system-level modeling and simulation methodology for efficient peformance evaluation and rapid architectural exploration of the increasing complexity heterogeneous embedded media systems. For this purpose, we have selected a system level design of a very high complexity media application;a H.264/AVC (Advanced Video Codec) video encoder. The evolution process of urban design is the result of transformations due to population increase along the expansion of cities on a global scale.Geotechnologies applied to forms of mapping make it possible to understand the changes that have occurred in urban spaces in relation to temporal space.The general objective of this study is to analyze the change that occurred from the year 2010 to 2021,in the evolution of urban design,in the city of Marau(southern Brazil).The identification of urban evolution in the years 2010 and 2021 was carried out.These data were modeled using the QGIS software,in the SIRGAS(Geocentric Reference System for the Americas)database,related to the evolution of urban design in Marau.The results demonstrate the need to apply geotechnologies not only in the city of Marau,but in other cities worldwide,because city halls need precision maps,avoiding the fragmentation of the urban fabric,a result of population expansion not projected in the built environment. 展开更多
