Research on Information Architecture Design of Short-Form Video Social Platforms Based on Cognitive Psychology

This study investigates how cognitive psychology principles can be integrated into the information architecture design of short-form video platforms,like TikTok,to enhance user experience,engagement,and sharing.Using a questionnaire,it explores TikTok users’habits and preferences,highlighting how social media fatigue(SMF)impacts their interaction with the platform.The paper offers strategies to optimize TikTok’s design.It suggests refining the organizational system using principles like chunking,schema theory,and working memory capacity.Additionally,it proposes incorporating shopping features within TikTok’s interface to personalize product suggestions and enable monetization for influencers and content creators.Furthermore,the study underlines the need to consider gender differences and user preferences in improving TikTok’s sharing features,recommending streamlined and customizable sharing options,collaborative sharing,and a system to acknowledge sharing milestones.Aiming to strengthen social connections and increase sharing likelihood,this research provides insights into enhancing information architecture for short-form video platforms,contributing to their growth and success.

Optimization of Interactive Videos Empowered the Experience of Learning Management System

The Learning management system(LMS)is now being used for uploading educational content in both distance and blended setups.LMS platform has two types of users:the educators who upload the content,and the students who have to access the content.The students,usually rely on text notes or books and video tutorials while their exams are conducted with formal methods.Formal assessments and examination criteria are ineffective with restricted learning space which makes the student tend only to read the educational contents and videos instead of interactive mode.The aim is to design an interactive LMS and examination video-based interface to cater the issues of educators and students.It is designed according to Human-computer interaction(HCI)principles to make the interactive User interface(UI)through User experience(UX).The interactive lectures in the form of annotated videos increase user engagement and improve the self-study context of users involved in LMS.The interface design defines how the design will interact with users and how the interface exchanges information.The findings show that interactive videos for LMS allow the users to have a more personalized learning experience by engaging in the educational content.The result shows a highly personalized learning experience due to the interactive video and quiz within the video.

The Design and Implementation of Qt-based Cross-platform Video Conferencing Remote Control

In order to overcome the defects of the dedicated video conference remote control, this paper designs and implements a Qt-based cross-platform video conferencing remote control. The remote control not only implements a full range of video conferencing control functions with an easy-to-use visual interface;but also implement cross-platform feature to allow users to use remote control software on their own equipment. It is economic, convenient and stylish for users. This paper mainly describes the design and implementation of remote control system framework and cross-platform features. Finally, the result in the paper shows: This remote control is reliable and easy to use.

Designation and Realization of Softswitch-based Remote Video-monitoring System

In this paper, architecture of softswitch-based Next Generation Network (NGN) system and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) are studied briefly, and the problems on the openness and extensibility of normal remote video-monitoring system (RVMS) are analyzed. Then a RVMS framework model based on softswitch is given. Furthermore, designation and realization of the system based on T 6000 Softswitch Platform is provided. The innovation is considering the RVMS as a part of softswitch system. It is a feasible scheme for implementing next generation video-monitoring system based on broadband IP technique.

Design of DSP-based Embedded Video Remote Monitoring System

Presented is a scheme of an embedded video remote monitoring system based on TMS320DM642. Using DM642 as the data processing core, the remote monitoring system is composed of video acquisition module, video processing module and communication module, which gives an implementation of class/mini driver module in DSP/BIOS integrated developing environment and also a common task module in application layer is achieved. The system realizes the entire functions of the analog video signal acquisition, H.264 video coding and Internet transmission. It provides the general connection for the future development and has good flexibility and extendibility. The system uses a modular design and overall development of programming methods to improve the efficiency of system development.

MATLAB WEB SERVER AND ITS APPLICATION IN REMOTE COLLABORATIVE DESIGN OF MAGNETIC BEARING SYSTEMS

Acclimatizing itself to the development of network,Math Works Inc constructed a MATLAB Web Server environment by dint of which one can browse the calculation and plots of MATLAB through Internet directly.The installation and use of the environment is introduced.A code established on the platform of MATLAB,which deals with the modal analysis of magnetic bearing system(MBS) supporting rotors of five degrees of freedom and considering the coupling of thrust bearing with radical bearings is modified to work in the environment.The purpose is to realize a remote call of the code by users through Internet for the performance analysis of the system.Such an application is very important to the concurrent design of MBS and for the utilization of distributive knowledge acquisition resources in collaborative design.The work on modification and realization is described and the results are discussed.

Blackboard academic suite is an excellent teaching software,Design of the principle of remote sensing network course based on it includes five kernel parts:course content construction,experimental process recurrence,interactive cooperation creation,exercises evaluation,course data evaluation and feedback.Teacher also should use some tactics to motivate students use blackboard academic suite,so as to improve students' learning interest and initiative,and teaching quality of the principle of remote sensing course.

Multidisciplinary Modeling and Optimization Method of Remote Sensing Satellite Parameters Based on SysML-CEA

To enhance the efficiency of system modeling and optimization in the conceptual design stage of satellite parameters,a system modeling and optimization method based on System Modeling Language and Co-evolutionary Algorithm is proposed.At first,the objectives of satellite mission and optimization problems are clarified,and a design matrix of discipline structure is constructed to process the coupling relationship of design variables and constraints of the orbit,payload,power and quality disciplines.In order to solve the problem of increasing nonlinearity and coupling between these disciplines while using a standard collaborative optimization algorithm,an improved genetic algorithm is proposed and applied to system-level and discipline-level models.Finally,the CO model of satellite parameters is solved through the collaborative simulation of Cameo Systems Modeler(CSM)and MATLAB.The result obtained shows that the method proposed in this paper for the conceptual design phase of satellite parameters is efficient and feasible.It can shorten the project cycle effectively and additionally provide a reference for the optimal design of other complex projects.

Web-based mixed reality video fusion with remote rendering

Background Mixed reality(MR)video fusion systems merge video imagery with 3D scenes to make the scene more realistic and help users understand the video content and temporal–spatial correlation between them,reducing the user′s cognitive load.MR video fusion are used in various applications;however,video fusion systems require powerful client machines because video streaming delivery,stitching,and rendering are computationally intensive.Moreover,huge bandwidth usage is another critical factor that affects the scalability of video-fusion systems.Methods Our framework proposes a fusion method for dynamically projecting video images into 3D models as textures.Results Several experiments on different metrics demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed framework.Conclusions The framework proposed in this study can overcome client limitations by utilizing remote rendering.Furthermore,the framework we built is based on browsers.Therefore,the user can test the MR video fusion system with a laptop or tablet without installing any additional plug-ins or application programs.

Human Perception of Group Synchronization Error in Remote Learning: Dependencies of Voice and Video Contents in One-Way Communication

This paper examines dependencies of voice and video contents on human perception of group (or inter-destination) synchronization error in remote learning by Quality of Experience (QoE) assessment. In our assessment, we use two videos and three voices (two voices for one video and one voice for the other video). We also investigate influences of silence periods in the voices and temporal relations between the voices and videos (called the tightly-coupled and loosely-coupled contents here). The voices are spoken by a teacher according to the videos. Each subject as a student assesses the group synchronization quality by watching each lecture video and the corresponding explanation voice, and then the subject answers whether he/she perceives the group synchronization error or not. As a result, assessment results illustrate that silence periods mitigate the perception rate of the error, and we can also find that we can more easily perceive the error for tightly-coupled contents than loosely-coupled ones.

The Use of Remote Sensing and Landscape Metrics to Analyze Land Use Evolution in Rural Areas of the Municipality of Passo Fundo/RS(Brazil)

The use of remote sensing in the design of land use mapping allows analyses of landscape evolution during a certain period of time which helps studies in a global scope.The objective of this study is to identify and analyze changes in characteristics of rural land use in the municipality of Passo Fundo,located in the state of Rio Grande do Sul,Brazil,during the years 2001 and 2020,through images taken from the Landsat TM-7 and TM-8 satellites.Methodologically,satellite images were classified by supervised methods,generating thematic maps,and taking into account the following groups:tillage(growing area),forest,exposed soil and water resources.Results demonstrated that the process of connecting agricultural crop patches went from 5.495 in 2001 to a figure of 10.812 in 2020,thus having an increase of 96%.

Product Maintenance Oriented Remote Monitoring and Diagnosis System

A research on maintenance oriented remote monitoring and diagnosis modular as well as the data transportation technique is carried out. An opened and modularized data share framework integrated with virtual graphic transportation is presented to realize the data exchange. As a result, it implements a real-time monitoring, diagnosis and maintenance system based on WWW. An effective support technique for the real-time remote fault diagnosis, maintenance and entire life cycle design of products is supplied.

System-Level Performance Evaluation of Very High Complexity Media Applications : A H264/AVC Encoder Case Study

Given the substantially increasing complexity of embedded systems, the use of relatively detailed clock cycle-accurate simulators for the design-space exploration is impractical in the early design stages. Raising the abstraction level is nowadays widely seen as a solution to bridge the gap between the increasing system complexity and the low design productivity. For this, several system-level design tools and methodologies have been introduced to efficiently explore the design space of heterogeneous signal processing systems. In this paper, we demonstrate the effectiveness and the flexibility of the Sesame/Artemis system-level modeling and simulation methodology for efficient peformance evaluation and rapid architectural exploration of the increasing complexity heterogeneous embedded media systems. For this purpose, we have selected a system level design of a very high complexity media application;a H.264/AVC (Advanced Video Codec) video encoder. The encoding performances will be evaluated using system-level simulations targeting multiple heterogeneous multiprocessors platforms.

Parametric Evaluation of Video Motion Tracking Data Sets

Video tracking is a complex problem because the environment, in which video motion needs to be tracked, is widely varied based on the application and poses several constraints on the design and performance of the tracking system. Current datasets that are used to evaluate and compare video motion tracking algorithms use a cumulative performance measure without thoroughly analyzing the effect of these different constraints imposed by the environment. But it needs to analyze these constraints as parameters. The objective of this paper is to identify these parameters and define quantitative measures for these parameters to compare video datasets for motion tracking.

Geoctenologies Applied to Evolution in Urban Design in a City in Southern Brazil

The evolution process of urban design is the result of transformations due to population increase along the expansion of cities on a global scale.Geotechnologies applied to forms of mapping make it possible to understand the changes that have occurred in urban spaces in relation to temporal space.The general objective of this study is to analyze the change that occurred from the year 2010 to 2021,in the evolution of urban design,in the city of Marau(southern Brazil).The identification of urban evolution in the years 2010 and 2021 was carried out.These data were modeled using the QGIS software,in the SIRGAS(Geocentric Reference System for the Americas)database,related to the evolution of urban design in Marau.The results demonstrate the need to apply geotechnologies not only in the city of Marau,but in other cities worldwide,because city halls need precision maps,avoiding the fragmentation of the urban fabric,a result of population expansion not projected in the built environment.
