The number of botnet malware attacks on Internet devices has grown at an equivalent rate to the number of Internet devices that are connected to the Internet.Bot detection using machine learning(ML)with flow-based fea...The number of botnet malware attacks on Internet devices has grown at an equivalent rate to the number of Internet devices that are connected to the Internet.Bot detection using machine learning(ML)with flow-based features has been extensively studied in the literature.Existing flow-based detection methods involve significant computational overhead that does not completely capture network communication patterns that might reveal other features ofmalicious hosts.Recently,Graph-Based Bot Detection methods using ML have gained attention to overcome these limitations,as graphs provide a real representation of network communications.The purpose of this study is to build a botnet malware detection system utilizing centrality measures for graph-based botnet detection and ML.We propose BotSward,a graph-based bot detection system that is based on ML.We apply the efficient centrality measures,which are Closeness Centrality(CC),Degree Centrality(CC),and PageRank(PR),and compare them with others used in the state-of-the-art.The efficiency of the proposed method is verified on the available Czech Technical University 13 dataset(CTU-13).The CTU-13 dataset contains 13 real botnet traffic scenarios that are connected to a command-and-control(C&C)channel and that cause malicious actions such as phishing,distributed denial-of-service(DDoS)attacks,spam attacks,etc.BotSward is robust to zero-day attacks,suitable for large-scale datasets,and is intended to produce better accuracy than state-of-the-art techniques.The proposed BotSward solution achieved 99%accuracy in botnet attack detection with a false positive rate as low as 0.0001%.展开更多
We present systematic investigations on the physics,detection performance and inversion of logging-while-drilling extradeep azimuthal resistivity measurements(EDARM).First,the definitions of EDRAM measurements are dis...We present systematic investigations on the physics,detection performance and inversion of logging-while-drilling extradeep azimuthal resistivity measurements(EDARM).First,the definitions of EDRAM measurements are discussed,followed by the derivation of the attenuation and phase-shift geometrical factors to illustrate the relative contributions of formation units to the observed signals.Then,a new definition of detection depth,which considers the uncertainty of inversion results caused by the data noise,is proposed to quantify the detection capability of ED ARM.Finally,the B ayesian theory associated with Markov chain Monte Carlo sampling is introduced for fast processing of EDARM data.Numerical results show that ED ARM is capable of detecting the azimuth and distance of remote bed boundaries,and the detection capability increases with increasing spacing and resistivity contrast.The EDARM tool can accommodate a large range of formation resistivity and is able to provide the resistivity anisotropy at arbitrary relative dipping angles.In addition,multiple bed boundaries and reservoir images near the borehole are readily obtained by using the Bayesian inversion.展开更多

This type of faults is difficult to detect by over current protection relays because of low fault current. In this paper, an index based on phasors change is proposed for HIF detection. The phasors are measured by PMU to obtain the square summation of errors. Two types of data are used for error calculation. The first one is sampled data and the second one is estimated data. But this index is not enough to declare presence of a HIF. Therefore another index introduces in order to distinguish the load switching from HIF. Second index utilizes 3rd harmonic current angle because this number of harmonic has a special behaviour during HIF. The verification of the proposed method is done by different simulation cases in EMTP/MATLAB.展开更多

Local sensing information is collected via energy detection with Analog-to-Informa...An Adaptive Measurement Scheme (AMS) is investigated with Compressed Sensing (CS) theory in Cognitive Wireless Sensor Network (C-WSN). Local sensing information is collected via energy detection with Analog-to-Information Converter (AIC) at massive cognitive sensors, and sparse representation is considered with the exploration of spatial temporal correlation structure of detected signals. Adaptive measurement matrix is designed in AMS, which is based on maximum energy subset selection. Energy subset is calculated with sparse transformation of sensing information, and maximum energy subset is selected as the row vector of adaptive measurement matrix. In addition, the measurement matrix is constructed by orthogonalization of those selected row vectors, which also satisfies the Restricted Isometry Property (RIP) in CS theory. Orthogonal Matching Pursuit (OMP) reconstruction algorithm is implemented at sink node to recover original information. Simulation results are performed with the comparison of Random Measurement Scheme (RMS). It is revealed that, signal reconstruction effect based on AMS is superior to conventional RMS Gaussian measurement. Moreover, AMS has better detection performance than RMS at lower compression rate region, and it is suitable for large-scale C-WSN wideband spectrum sensing.展开更多

Dielectrophoresis impedance measurement(DEPIM)is a powerful tool for bioparticle detection due to its advantages of high efficiency,label-free and low costs.However,the strong electric field may decrease the viability...Dielectrophoresis impedance measurement(DEPIM)is a powerful tool for bioparticle detection due to its advantages of high efficiency,label-free and low costs.However,the strong electric field may decrease the viability of the bioparticle,thus leading to instability of impedance measurement.A new design of biochip is presented with high stable bioparticle detection capabilities by using both negative dielectrophoresis(nDEP)and traveling wave dielectrophoresis(twDEP).In the biochip,a spiral electrode is arranged on the top of channel,while a detector is arranged on the bottom of the channel.The influence factors on the DEP force and twDEP force are investigated by using the basic principle of DEP,based on which,the relationship between Clausius-Mossotti(CM)factor and the frequency of electric field is obtained.The two-dimensional model of the biochip is built by using Comsol Multiphysics.Electric potential distribution,force distribution and particle trajectory in the channel are then obtained by using the simulation model.Finally,both the simulations and experiments are performed to demonstrate that the new biochip can enhance the detection efficiency and reduce the negative effects of electric field on the bioparticles.展开更多

For example, many people have been victims of robbery on vehicles. A conceptual diagram of an Intrusion Detection System (IDS) [1] [2] for vehicles with remote signaling using an Arduino controller and radio-frequency technology is proposed in this paper. To address malicious activities on vehicles, two aspects are considered here, namely: notifier and detector. Firstly, an object-oriented C module that puts on and off a controller (installed inside the vehicle) and an anti-theft electronic editing that powered using an alternator and supported by a back-up battery are implemented. Secondly, a magnetic intrusion sensor, controlled by a proximity detector using radio-frequency technology, has been installed on each vehicle door. To enable IDS, a user needs to activate the monitoring system when leaving their vehicle. This is done using a remote system. In case the user does not activate the monitoring system while leaving the vehicle, a 5-meter-proximity detector will automatically lock the system and set off the monitoring system whenever the user is outside the detection zone. The detection zone is a 5-meter radius area centered at the controller. Here, monitoring consists of geolocating any intruders within the detection zone. This means, if any of the vehicle doors is opened while the system is still locked, the controller will activate the vehicle alarm for a few seconds, thereafter send an SMS notification to the owner. The system automatically unlocks as soon as the proximity detector is within the detection zone. The contribution of this paper, as compared to other similar work, is to reinforce the electronic implementation of IDS.展开更多

文摘As a widespread element,heavy metals have a significant impact on human health and threaten human health.It is of great significance to develop analytical technologies that can detect heavy metal ions quickly and accurately.In comparison to conventional fluorescent materials such as organic dyes,quantum dot(QD)labels,and carbon quantum dots(CD),fluorescence detection technology utilizing lanthanide(Ln)ion-doped upconversion nanoparticles(UCNPs)stands out due to its distinctive attributes.These include a notably reduced autofluorescence background,enhanced tissue penetration capabilities,biocompatibility with cellular tissues,and minimal photodamage inflicted on biological samples.The utilization of this technology has garnered considerable attention across multiple fields.In the domain of heavy metal detection,traditional laboratory methods necessitate costly instrumentation and a fully equipped laboratory,involving intricate sample processing procedures and protracted detection periods,as well as a demand for skilled personnel.In contrast,the implementation of this material offers rapid and cost-effective detection,significantly mitigating the technical barriers for operators.Consequently,this represents an exceptional avenue to curtail expenses and broaden the scope of detection within the analytical process.This paper reviews the research progress of UCNPs in the detection of heavy metal ions,encompassing a brief elucidation of the luminescence principle of upconversion nanomaterials and commonly used detection principles.Additionally,it provides a detailed overview of the research status of several common non-metal ions and essential heavy metals.Furthermore,it summarizes the current focal points in UCNP detection and discusses the challenges and prospects associated with it.

文摘The number of botnet malware attacks on Internet devices has grown at an equivalent rate to the number of Internet devices that are connected to the Internet.Bot detection using machine learning(ML)with flow-based features has been extensively studied in the literature.Existing flow-based detection methods involve significant computational overhead that does not completely capture network communication patterns that might reveal other features ofmalicious hosts.Recently,Graph-Based Bot Detection methods using ML have gained attention to overcome these limitations,as graphs provide a real representation of network communications.The purpose of this study is to build a botnet malware detection system utilizing centrality measures for graph-based botnet detection and ML.We propose BotSward,a graph-based bot detection system that is based on ML.We apply the efficient centrality measures,which are Closeness Centrality(CC),Degree Centrality(CC),and PageRank(PR),and compare them with others used in the state-of-the-art.The efficiency of the proposed method is verified on the available Czech Technical University 13 dataset(CTU-13).The CTU-13 dataset contains 13 real botnet traffic scenarios that are connected to a command-and-control(C&C)channel and that cause malicious actions such as phishing,distributed denial-of-service(DDoS)attacks,spam attacks,etc.BotSward is robust to zero-day attacks,suitable for large-scale datasets,and is intended to produce better accuracy than state-of-the-art techniques.The proposed BotSward solution achieved 99%accuracy in botnet attack detection with a false positive rate as low as 0.0001%.

文摘We present systematic investigations on the physics,detection performance and inversion of logging-while-drilling extradeep azimuthal resistivity measurements(EDARM).First,the definitions of EDRAM measurements are discussed,followed by the derivation of the attenuation and phase-shift geometrical factors to illustrate the relative contributions of formation units to the observed signals.Then,a new definition of detection depth,which considers the uncertainty of inversion results caused by the data noise,is proposed to quantify the detection capability of ED ARM.Finally,the B ayesian theory associated with Markov chain Monte Carlo sampling is introduced for fast processing of EDARM data.Numerical results show that ED ARM is capable of detecting the azimuth and distance of remote bed boundaries,and the detection capability increases with increasing spacing and resistivity contrast.The EDARM tool can accommodate a large range of formation resistivity and is able to provide the resistivity anisotropy at arbitrary relative dipping angles.In addition,multiple bed boundaries and reservoir images near the borehole are readily obtained by using the Bayesian inversion.
文摘Based on the limitations of traditional plant nutrient solution detection, a ZigBee plant nutrient solution detection system based on CC2530 was developed. This system uses CC2530 as the main control chip, DS18B20 as the temperature sensor for temperature acquisition, PH electrode sensor for PH value acquisition. The experiment shows that this wireless control system equipped with temperature and pH detection sensor collects and samples the main nutrient solution parameters through the main controller, performs wireless communication transmission and terminal communication, and realizes the intelligent detection of plant nutrient solution parameters. This technique of applying wireless sensor network technology to plant factories greatly improves the reliability and stability of the nutrient monitoring system.
文摘This paper proposes a new algorithm for High Impedance Fault (HIF) detection using Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU). This type of faults is difficult to detect by over current protection relays because of low fault current. In this paper, an index based on phasors change is proposed for HIF detection. The phasors are measured by PMU to obtain the square summation of errors. Two types of data are used for error calculation. The first one is sampled data and the second one is estimated data. But this index is not enough to declare presence of a HIF. Therefore another index introduces in order to distinguish the load switching from HIF. Second index utilizes 3rd harmonic current angle because this number of harmonic has a special behaviour during HIF. The verification of the proposed method is done by different simulation cases in EMTP/MATLAB.

文摘An Adaptive Measurement Scheme (AMS) is investigated with Compressed Sensing (CS) theory in Cognitive Wireless Sensor Network (C-WSN). Local sensing information is collected via energy detection with Analog-to-Information Converter (AIC) at massive cognitive sensors, and sparse representation is considered with the exploration of spatial temporal correlation structure of detected signals. Adaptive measurement matrix is designed in AMS, which is based on maximum energy subset selection. Energy subset is calculated with sparse transformation of sensing information, and maximum energy subset is selected as the row vector of adaptive measurement matrix. In addition, the measurement matrix is constructed by orthogonalization of those selected row vectors, which also satisfies the Restricted Isometry Property (RIP) in CS theory. Orthogonal Matching Pursuit (OMP) reconstruction algorithm is implemented at sink node to recover original information. Simulation results are performed with the comparison of Random Measurement Scheme (RMS). It is revealed that, signal reconstruction effect based on AMS is superior to conventional RMS Gaussian measurement. Moreover, AMS has better detection performance than RMS at lower compression rate region, and it is suitable for large-scale C-WSN wideband spectrum sensing.
文摘A measuring system for high-speed hydrogen ice pellet was introduced in this paper and the photographing of flying pellet taken therein. With the system, a pellet (minimum size of φ 0.3 mm) velocity (ranging from 50 m/s to 2500 m/s) can be measured in the HL-1M tokamak fueling experiments. By analyzing photographs and the conditions of frozen pellets (including gas supply, gas replenishment, temperature controlling etc), the pellet-freezing technology is summarized in the paper.

文摘With the rapid development of urban rail transit,passenger traffic is increasing,and obstacle violations are more frequent,and the safety of train operation under high-density traffic conditions is becoming more and more thought provoking.In order to monitor the train operating environment in real time,this paper first adopts multisensing technology based on machine vision and lidar,which is used to collect video images and ranging data of the track area in real time,and then it performs image preprocessing and division of regions of interest on the collected video.Then,the obstacles in the region of interest are detected to obtain the geometric characteristics and position information of the obstacles.Finally,according to the danger degree of obstacles,determine the degree of impact on the train operation,and use the signal system automatic response ormanual response mode to transmit the detection results to the corresponding train,so as to control the train operation.Through simulation analysis and experimental verification,the detection accuracy and control performance of the detection method are confirmed,which provides safety guarantee for the train operation.

文摘Dielectrophoresis impedance measurement(DEPIM)is a powerful tool for bioparticle detection due to its advantages of high efficiency,label-free and low costs.However,the strong electric field may decrease the viability of the bioparticle,thus leading to instability of impedance measurement.A new design of biochip is presented with high stable bioparticle detection capabilities by using both negative dielectrophoresis(nDEP)and traveling wave dielectrophoresis(twDEP).In the biochip,a spiral electrode is arranged on the top of channel,while a detector is arranged on the bottom of the channel.The influence factors on the DEP force and twDEP force are investigated by using the basic principle of DEP,based on which,the relationship between Clausius-Mossotti(CM)factor and the frequency of electric field is obtained.The two-dimensional model of the biochip is built by using Comsol Multiphysics.Electric potential distribution,force distribution and particle trajectory in the channel are then obtained by using the simulation model.Finally,both the simulations and experiments are performed to demonstrate that the new biochip can enhance the detection efficiency and reduce the negative effects of electric field on the bioparticles.
文摘The performance measurement of enterprise technology alliances is complex.In this article,evaluation mechanism of entropy has been applied to it.Above all,performance connotation of enterprise technology alliance is defined from the aspect of self-organizatlon theory.Then,on dynamic and systerna-tical view,an entropy-based overall performance measurement model for technology alliance is established,using its life-cycle as the principal line,which includes initial condition evaluation,process e- valuation as well as benefit evaluation.Finally,a case study is carried out to the demonstration of that model.The author believes that an improved performance measurement model based on alliance life-cycle would be practicability to alliance.
文摘Malicious activities or policy violations have been a concern for the past years. For example, many people have been victims of robbery on vehicles. A conceptual diagram of an Intrusion Detection System (IDS) [1] [2] for vehicles with remote signaling using an Arduino controller and radio-frequency technology is proposed in this paper. To address malicious activities on vehicles, two aspects are considered here, namely: notifier and detector. Firstly, an object-oriented C module that puts on and off a controller (installed inside the vehicle) and an anti-theft electronic editing that powered using an alternator and supported by a back-up battery are implemented. Secondly, a magnetic intrusion sensor, controlled by a proximity detector using radio-frequency technology, has been installed on each vehicle door. To enable IDS, a user needs to activate the monitoring system when leaving their vehicle. This is done using a remote system. In case the user does not activate the monitoring system while leaving the vehicle, a 5-meter-proximity detector will automatically lock the system and set off the monitoring system whenever the user is outside the detection zone. The detection zone is a 5-meter radius area centered at the controller. Here, monitoring consists of geolocating any intruders within the detection zone. This means, if any of the vehicle doors is opened while the system is still locked, the controller will activate the vehicle alarm for a few seconds, thereafter send an SMS notification to the owner. The system automatically unlocks as soon as the proximity detector is within the detection zone. The contribution of this paper, as compared to other similar work, is to reinforce the electronic implementation of IDS.
