Preparation of optical active polydiacetylene through gelating and the control of supramolecular chirality 被引量:4

Achiral diacetylene 10,12-pentacosadinoic acid (PCDA) and a chiral low-molecular-weight organogelator could form co-gel in organic solvent and it could be polymerized in the presence of Zn(II) ion or in the corresponding xerogel under UV-irradiation. Optically active polydiacetylene (PDA) were subsequently obtained. Supramolecular chirality of PDA could be controlled by the chirality of gelators. Left-handed and right-handed helical fibers were obtained by using Land D-gelators in xerogels respectively, and CD spectra exhibited mirror-image circular dichroism. The PDA in xerogel exhibited typical blue-to-red transition responsive to the temperature and pH, while the supramolecular chirality of PDA showed a corresponding change. 展开更多

A cross-linkable comonomer containing a diacetylene group,named dimethyl 4,4'-(buta-l,3-diyne-l,4-diyl)dibenzoate(DA) was synthesized and copolymerized with dimethyl succinate and 1,4-butanediol to prepare a series of slightly cross-linked PBS copolyesters(PBDASx).The chemical structure,crystallization and Theological behaviours of PBDASx were well investigated.Compared to neat PBS,PBDASx showed the greatly increased crystallization rate because of the promoting nucleation of the cross-linking domains,and the XRD results indicated that it had no influence on crystallization structure of PBS.The rheological behaviours indicate that PBDASx possessed higher viscosity than neat PBS even at high shear rate and temperature.PBDAS0.3 exhibited better comprehensive properties than neat PBS,which will widen applications of PBS. 展开更多

Radical-containing porous organic polymers(POPs)have drawn great interest in various applications.However,the synthesis of radical POPs remains challenging due to the unstable nature of organic radicals.Here,a persistent and stable three-dimensional silicon-diacetylene porous organic radical polymer was synthesized via a classic Eglinton homocoupling reaction of tetraethynylsilane.The presence of carbon radicals in this material was confirmed by electron paramagnetic resonance,and its paramagnetic behavior was analyzed by a superconducting quantum interference device.This unique material has a low-lying lowest unoccupied molecular orbital(LUMO)energy level(−5.47 eV)and a small energy gap(ca.1.46 eV),which shows long-term cycling stability and excellent rate capability as an anode material for lithium-ion batteries,demonstrating potential application in energy fields. 展开更多

Recently,in-situ polymerization inside living cells has attracted much attention due to the efficient cellular internalization and elevated drug retention.However,the lack of tracking of the in-situ polymerization process and the unclear effects of polymerization on cellular functions restrict its biomedical applications.Herein,we designed a Y-shaped diacetylene-containing lipidated peptide amphiphile(YDLPA1)with positive charges,which underwent in-situ polymerization initiated by reactive oxygen species in the intracellular microenvironment.In comparison,zwitterionic YDLPA2 and negatively charged Y-DLPA3 were polymerized in aqueous solution,but cannot polymerize in the intracellular microenvironment.The polymerized Y-DLPA1 with red fluorescence provides a platform to label cells for long-term tracking studies.This polymerization reaction induced tumor cell apoptosis,increased cell viscosity and decreased cell motility,which potentially inhibited tumor metastasis and served as a novel antitumor agent.This work provides a novel strategy to track in-situ polymerization process and modulate cell biofunctions. 展开更多
