Treatment of 140 cerebral palsied children with a combined method based on traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)and western medicine

Objective:To observe and evaluate a method that is effective and practical for treatment of cerebral palsied(CP)children in China.Method:The patient's age and disease type and individual specific conditions were considered in choosingtherapy methods accordingly:Chinese herbs,acupuncture,auricnlar seed pressure,point finger pressing,massage,orthopedichand manipulation,physiotherapy,occupational therapy,language therapy,etc.Meanwhile we created a new CP treatment modelthat combines hospitalized treatment with family therapy.Results:The majority of CP patients improved greatly in motor andsocial adaptation capacities after treatment.Wilcoxon paired rank sum test analysis showed that there were significant differencesbetween the data before and after treatment(P<0.01).Conclusion:This combined therapy method,based on traditional Chinesemedicine and western medicine plus family supplemental therapy,is an effective and practical treatment strategy for CP children inChina.

Treatment of Chronic Heart Failure Complicated with Anxiety and Depression Using Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine

Chronic heart failure(CHF)is the terminal stage of various heart diseases,and is the main cause of death from cardiovascular disease.In recent years,the prevalence of CHF combined with anxiety and depressive state has shown an upward trend,and this paper was aimed to provide a reference for the diagnosis and treatment of CHF combined with anxiety and depression using Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)and Western medicine.

Analysis of 278 Cases of Clinical Application of Western Medicine with Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndrome Differentiation

Since the beginning of the Western Learning, modern medicine has developed rapidly in China, and the integration of Chinese and western medicine has become inevitable. Since Zhang Xichun's "Medicine in the West", using traditional Chinese medicine theory to guide the practice of western medicine, through long-term clinical diagnosis, we gradually realized the advantages of applying western medicine according to TCM syndrome differentiation. Therefore, 278 patients from the Second People's Hospital of Gansu Province from July 2015 to December 2017 were enrolled in the relevant departments of the Department of Internal Medicine. On the basis of routine treatment, TCM was obtained through inspection, inquiry, listening and smelling, palpation and pulse-taking. The syndrome type is based on the medicinal properties, menstruation and ef?cacy of more than ten kinds of western medicines, so that they can reach Chinese medicine[1]. Therefore, this paper aims to improve the accuracy of western medicine use, reduce the incidence of adverse reactions, discover the new ef?cacy of western medicine,and promote the integration of Chinese and western medicine.

The Eastern Cultural Signature of Traditional Chinese Medicine: Empirical Evidence and Theoretical Perspectives

Background: Holistic thinking, which is rooted in Eastern culture, is assumed to be the core of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Recently, such holistic thinking has been proposed to be applicable to Western medicine practices for alleviating serious side effects;however, the obscure and often ill-defined terms of TCM, such as qi, yin yang, and wuxing, pose considerable obstacles for further understanding TCM. In the present study, we explored whether and how TCM is actually related to the scientific construct of holistic thinking, to elucidate the particular cultural signature of TCM. Methods: A random sample of 101 college students majoring in TCM and 93 non-medical college students was recruited for the study. Two psychological scales—the Chinese Holistic Thinking Scale and the TCM Competence Scale were used respectively to measure the holistic thinking and participants’ ability to apply the TCM in practice. Results: We found that individuals who thought more holistically were better at applying TCM to modern medical problems. Interestingly, TCM was associated with holistic thinking in both TCM and non-medical students, suggesting that this association is intrinsic. Further exploration revealed that the association and variability facets of Eastern holistic thinking—which emphasize that the world is interconnected and ever-changing, respectively—significantly accounted for the individual differences in competence in utilizing TCM in practice. Conclusion: In short, our study provides the first empirical evidence linking TCM to the Eastern holistic thinking style, which not only deepens the understanding of TCM from a scientific perspective but also promotes dialogue between TCM and Western medicine for building safer and more effective health care systems.

The Origin of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Thinking on Chinese Medicine Development

Although the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has developed a profound theory system and a fame of outstanding advantage in curative effect, it seems that the TCM is not quite adaptable to the deveiopment and requirement of the modern society.A principle of “Adopting the advanced part of Western medicine to serve the TCM" should be adhered to for the traditional Chinese medicine. First, TCM should strive for a consensus of TCM theory which focuses on the guiding principles of “diagnosis and treatment based on an overall analysis of the illness and the patient’s condition"and “the opposite principle of five internal organs".Among these principles, “keeping relative balance of three internal systems"is a valuable guidance of the diagnosis and treatment theory. Secondly, macroscopic should be integrated with microscopic, totality with parts,phenomenology with materialism.A dialectical law should be applied to guide analysis. In treatment, adjustment and balance are basic principles.It is necessary not only prepare the medicine in advance accoding to the predicted disease of the year,but also adopt methods to restrict disease in advance.Basides, TCM dose type should be ameliorated in order to meet the needs of society.

动脉粥样硬化中医药研究领域近十年国家自然科学基金项目申请和资助情况分析

文章系统梳理和归纳近十年(2014—2023年)中医学和中西医结合学领域内动脉粥样硬化在国家自然科学基金申请和资助的项目主要特点。结果显示,项目多围绕相关的生物学机制、治则治法、信号通路及作用靶点开展设计与研究,10年内两个领域动脉粥样硬化研究共申请1486项,资助199项,资助率13.39%,与整个中医药领域近十年的平均资助率(13.31%)基本持平。近十年来随着关注动脉粥样硬化的中医药研究者逐年增多,申请量逐年大幅度增加,使得资助率从2014年的24.68%明显下降至2023年的9.44%。此外也存在中医理论研究不够深入、研究方案设计存在缺陷、动物模型制备缺少评价标准、忽略申请书撰写中的细节、前期工作基础不足以及科研诚信等问题。

Differences in the Origin of Philosophy between Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine:Exploration of the Holistic Advantages of Chinese Medicine

To explore advantages of Chinese medicine （CM） by analyzing differences in the origin of philosophy for human health between CM and Westem medicine （WM）. Methodologically, a distinctive feature of CM is its systems theory, which is also the difference between CM and WM. Since the birth of CM, it has taken the human body as a whole from the key concepts of ＂qi, blood, yin-yang, viscera （Zang-Fu）, and meridian and channel＂, rather than a single cell or a particular organ. WM evolves from the Westem philosophic way of thinking and merely uses natural sciences as the foundation. The development of WM is based on human structures, or anatomy, and therefore, research of WM is also based on the way of thinking of decomposing the whole human body into several independent parts, which is the impetus of promoting the development of WM. The core of CM includes the holistic view and the dialectical view. Chinese herbal medicines contain various components and treat a disease from multiple targets and links. Therefore, Chinese herbal medicines treat a diseased state by regulating and mobilizing the whole body rather than just regulating a single factor, since the diseased state is not only a problem in a local part of the body but a local reflection of imbalance of the whole body.

VDT作业光环境对不同体质设计师视健康的影响

为探究光环境、体质与视健康的交互作用关系,保护高风险体质者视觉作业安全。首先,对重庆地区9家建筑勘察设计企业进行光环境调研,测量72间视觉显示终端(VDT)办公室的水平作业面照度、相关色温、眼位照度等光环境参数,计算节律照明相关指标,并与标准进行比对;然后,对541名青年设计师进行中医体质辨识及视疲劳特征记录;最后,基于中医体病相关理论,分析环境光照下体质与近视、视疲劳的相关性,辨别视健康高风险体质。结果表明:青年设计师的体质类型以平和质为主,在9种体质中占比最高;偏颇体质中阳虚质占比最高,对近视、视疲劳的易感性显著高于平和质;工作场所长期日光暴露不足、节律刺激过低易诱发体质向阳虚质转变,增加视健康风险。

中药监管科学:发展中的新兴融合科学

中药监管科学(Traditional Chinese Medicine Rugulatory Science)作为我国新兴的、亟待发展的中西医交叉融合科学,不仅是监管科学(Rugulatory Science)作为国际前沿科学在中药监管领域的全新应用场景,更是一种根植于传统中医药学土壤的中西医融合研究新模式和原创性科学思维方式。中药监管科学具有融合科学(Convergence Science)的问题导向性、多学科交叉、覆盖创新价值链、多元主体协同参与等特点。发展中药监管科学意味着中药监管科技创新朝向融合科学发生根本性变革,将有助于探索建立既符合中医药特点,又体现中西医融通的中药审评审批体系,以期获得中国式现代化中药监管领域的重大科技突破。

心房颤动的中西医研究进展

西医认为,心房颤动(简称房颤)的发病机制与心房的电重构、结构重构、炎症因子、氧化应激及分子遗传机制等因素有一定的相关性,临床治疗房颤除了使用常规抗心律失常药物外,射频消融术、左心耳封堵术等非药物疗法也有较好的疗效。中医则认为,房颤的病因病机多为本虚标实,其中本虚多以气阴两虚为主,标实多以痰浊、瘀血、水饮为主。历代医家治疗房颤是在经方、时方、验方的基础上结合临证经验而自拟方剂,可获得较好疗效。目前,关于房颤的研究仍存在以下问题:(1)缺乏从不同机制的交叉关系去研究是否存在有共同的靶点或信号通路;(2)中医证型较为繁杂,尚无统一的诊疗规范及疗效判定标准;(3)缺乏大样本、多中心、随机的双盲试验。今后,应充分利用现代药理学研究,探究中药疗效背后存在的作用机制,从而开展严谨、有效的大样本的临床试验。

基于关联规则的血脂异常手部特征与中医证候、西医分型相关性的临床研究

血脂异常属于中医“痰浊”“膏脂”范畴,具有隐匿性、进行性、全身性的特点,与多种心脑血管疾病的发生密切相关。其危险因素多、合并症多,但无特征性症状表现,这增加了血脂异常的治疗难度。中医手诊属于中医望诊范畴,是指通过观察手部形态、颜色、青筋(粗血管)、纹理等信息获得望诊资料以便于辨证论治,具有整体性、直观性的特点。课题组前期研究发现血脂异常患者手部大、小鱼际形态及颜色与正常人群存在差异。该研究进一步探索血脂异常患者的手部特征与中医证候、西医分型的相关性,将手诊应用于血脂异常的辨治,对丰富血脂异常的四诊信息、提高临床辨证准确性、发挥中医望诊及“治未病”优势具有重要临床应用价值。

论帕金森病伴抑郁和原发性抑郁的异质性

抑郁是帕金森病常见的非运动症状,其虽与原发性抑郁具有相似的临床症状,但二者发病机制及治疗不尽相同。原发性抑郁可归属于中医学“郁证”范畴,帕金森病伴抑郁则属于“颤证”及“郁证”合病。从临床症状、发病机制、西药治疗、中医病因病机、中药治疗等方面论述帕金森病伴抑郁和原发性抑郁的异质性,以期为帕金森病伴抑郁的临床诊疗提供参考。

功能性消化不良与内脏高敏感性相关性的研究进展

功能性消化不良是一种常见的消化系统疾病,具有反复发作、迁延难愈的特点,临床表现为慢性或反复的上腹部疼痛、腹胀、恶心、呕吐和腹泻等症状。其发病机制与内脏高敏感性、胃肠动力障碍、幽门螺杆菌感染、胃酸分泌增加、微生物失调、精神障碍等多种因素相关。近年来,由于生活节奏加快和饮食结构改变,该病发病率不断上升,引起了临床工作者的广泛关注。内脏高敏感性作为功能性消化不良的一个重要病理机制,发病原因极为复杂,主要由中枢敏感性增高、受体激活、递质释放等引起。西医治疗该病侧重于对神经递质及受体进行干预,同时也注重患者心理对疾病进展程度的影响,采用多种药物联合,可有效降低患者内脏高敏感性引起的一系列不良反应,并改善生活质量。中医药治疗功能性消化不良有独特的优势,能够多维度、多层面、多靶点的整体性调节。目前,对于功能性消化不良与内脏高敏感性之间的关系,以及中医药干预措施的研究,仍处于探索初期。探讨功能性消化不良与内脏高敏感性之间的关系,对于指导临床治疗以及新药研发有一定意义。文章从内脏高敏感性角度出发,全面搜集和整理了相关文献,系统梳理了当前关于内脏高敏感性与功能性消化不良之间关系的研究进展,为今后深入探索二者之间的关系提供理论依据,也为功能性消化不良的针对性治疗提供新思路。

中医特色干预对体外冲击波治疗膝骨关节炎患者睡眠质量的影响

目的:分析在体外冲击波治疗膝骨关节炎患者中采用中医特色干预对睡眠质量的影响。方法:选取2022年5月至2023年5月厦门市中医院骨一科收治的实施体外冲击波治疗膝骨关节炎患者80例作为研究对象,按照随机数字表法分为对照组和观察组,每组40例。对照组给予常规护理干预,观察组给予中医特色干预。采用匹兹堡睡眠质量指数(PSQI)比较2组患者干预前后睡眠质量的变化,采用疼痛数字评价量表(NRS)比较2组患者干预前后的疼痛感受,采用骨性关节炎指数评分表(WOMAC)比较2组患者骨性关节的严重程度,并比较2组患者睡眠障碍的发生情况。结果:干预后,观察组PSQI评分、NRS评分、WOMAC评分均显著低于对照组,差异均有统计学意义(均P<0.05);干预后,观察组患者睡眠障碍发生率显著低于对照组,差异均有统计学意义(均P<0.05)。结论:在体外冲击波治疗膝骨关节炎患者中采用中医特色干预的方式具有积极意义,能够有效改善患者的睡眠质量,改善整体预后,值得临床推广应用。
