In order to improve the consistency between the recommended retrieval results and user needs,improve the recommendation efficiency,and reduce the average absolute deviation of resource retrieval,a design method of int...In order to improve the consistency between the recommended retrieval results and user needs,improve the recommendation efficiency,and reduce the average absolute deviation of resource retrieval,a design method of intelligent recommendation retrieval model for Fujian intangible cultural heritage digital archive resources based on knowledge atlas is proposed.The TG-LDA(Tag-granularity LDA)model is proposed on the basis of the standard LDA(Linear Discriminant Analysis)model.The model is used to mine archive resource topics.The Pearson correlation coefficient is used to measure the relevance between topics.Based on the measurement results,the FastText deep learning model is used to achieve archive resource classification.According to the classification results,TF-IDF(term frequency–inverse document frequency)algorithm is used to calculate the weight of resource retrieval keywords to achieve resource retrieval,and a recommendation model of intangible cultural heritage digital archives resources is built through the knowledge map to achieve comprehensive and personalized recommendation of resources.The experimental results show that the recommendation and retrieval results of the proposed method are more in line with users’needs,can provide users with personalized digital archive resources,and the average absolute deviation of resource retrieval is low,the recommendation efficiency is high,and the utilization effect of archive resources is effectively improved.展开更多
In research and policies,the identifcation of trends as well as emerging topics and topics in decline is an important source of information for both academic and innovation management.Since at present policy analysis ...In research and policies,the identifcation of trends as well as emerging topics and topics in decline is an important source of information for both academic and innovation management.Since at present policy analysis mostly employs qualitative research methods,the following article presents and assesses diferent approaches–trend analysis based on questionnaires,quantitative bibliometric surveys,the use of computer-linguistic approaches and machine learning and qualitative investigations.Against this backdrop,this article examines digital applications in cultural heritage and,in particular,built heritage via various investigative frameworks to identify topics of relevance and trendlines,mainly for European Union(EU)-based research and policies.Furthermore,this article exemplifes and assesses the specifc opportunities and limitations of the diferent methodical approaches against the backdrop of data-driven vs.data-guided analytical frameworks.As its major fndings,our study shows that both research and policies related to digital applications for cultural heritage are mainly driven by the availability of new technologies.Since policies focus on meta-topics such as digitisation,openness or automation,the research descriptors are more granular.In general,data-driven approaches are promising for identifying topics and trendlines and even predicting the development of near future trends.Conversely,qualitative approaches are able to answer“why”questions with regard to whether topics are emerging due to disruptive innovations or due to new terminologies or whether topics are becoming obsolete because they are common knowledge,as is the case for the term“internet”.展开更多

Trees belong to humanity’s heritage,but they are more than that.Their loss,through catastrophic fires or under business-as-usual,is devastating to many forms of life.Moved by this fact,we begin with an assertion that...Trees belong to humanity’s heritage,but they are more than that.Their loss,through catastrophic fires or under business-as-usual,is devastating to many forms of life.Moved by this fact,we begin with an assertion that heritage can have an active role in the design of future places.Written from within the field of architecture,this article focuses on structures that house life.Habitat features of trees and artificial replacement habitats for arboreal wildlife serve as concrete examples.Designs of such habitats need to reflect behaviours,traditions and cultures of birds,bats,and other animals.Our narrative highlights the nonhuman aspect of heritage,seeking to understand how nonhuman stakeholders can act as users and consumers of heritage and not only as its constituents.Our working definition states that more-than-human heritage encompasses tangible and intangible outcomes of historical processes that are of value to human as well as nonhuman stakeholders.From this basis,the article asks how the established notions of heritage can extend to include nonhuman concerns,artefacts,behaviours and cultures.As a possible answer to this question,the hypothesis tested here is that digital information can(1)contribute to the preservation of more-than-human heritage;and(2)illuminate its characteristics for future study and use.This article assesses the potential of three imaging technologies and considers the resulting data within the conceptual framework of more-than-human heritage,illuminating some of its concrete aspects and challenges.展开更多
