Digitization of education is an important component of Digital China Strategy. China is deeply implementing the digitalization of education strategy, promoting educational reform and innovation, and accelerating the construction of a learning society and a learning country where everyone can learn, learn everywhere, and learn at all times [1]. As the cradle and gathering place of talent cultivation, universities should be at the forefront of educational informatization construction. As a comprehensive energy university in the northeastern region of Sichuan, the Nanchong Campus of Southwest Petroleum University plays an irreplaceable role in the local economic development. This article summarizes the current situation of educational informatization construction on this campus and proposes suggestions for its improvement path, providing constructive reference opinions for the development of similar universities.

Research on Risk Identification and Industrial Governance of Digital Education Products Based on Data Annotation Technology

The social transformation brought aboutby digital technology is deeply impacting various industries.Digital education products, with core technologiessuch as 5G, AI, IoT (Internet of Things),etc., are continuously penetrating areas such as teaching,management, and evaluation. Apps, miniprograms,and emerging large-scale models are providingexcellent knowledge performance and flexiblecross-media output. However, they also exposerisks such as content discrimination and algorithmcommercialization. This paper conducts anevidence-based analysis of digital education productrisks from four dimensions: “digital resourcesinformationdissemination-algorithm design-cognitiveassessment”. In the context of the digital transformation of education in the new era,digital literacy for teachers is a new requirement for professional development.Teacher digital literacy encompasses four main aspects:attitudinal literacy,knowledge and skills literacy,instructional application literacy,and innovation and development literacy.Currently,there are several issues with teacher digital literacy,such as a lack of digital responsibility,insufficient digital knowledge and skills,weak digital application skills,and low digital innovation capability.Enhancing teachers’digital literacy is a complex and critical task.Based on the current state of teachers’digital literacy,this paper proposes the following approaches:(1)adherence to digital norms;(2)development of a robust training mechanism;(3)improvement of the evaluation system;(4)strengthening of digital innovation.

Research on the Digital Transformation of English Teaching in Vocational Education

With the advancement of technology,exploring the impact of digital transformation on vocational education English teaching has become crucial.This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of digital transformation in English teaching in vocational education in China by exploring students’and teachers’attitudes,views,and experiences on the use of digital technology in English teaching.This study employed a mixed method of qualitative and quantitative analysis.The research results indicate that digital transformation has had a positive impact on vocational education English teaching,as it enhances the teaching process,promotes communication and collaboration,and increases students’enthusiasm and participation.However,implementing digital transformation in vocational education English teaching also poses challenges,including a lack of resources,infrastructure,and training.This study provides an in-depth understanding of the advantages and challenges of digital transformation in vocational education English teaching and proposes strategies to improve the implementation of digital technology in this context.

Research and Practice of the Blended Teaching Model of BOPPPS Teaching Method Under the Background of Digital Education: Taking Operations Research Course as an Example

The rapid development of digital education provides new opportunities and challenges for teaching model innovation.This study aims to explore the application of the BOPPPS(Bridge-in,Objective,Pre-assessment,Participatory learning,Post-assessment,Summary)teaching method in the development of a blended teaching model for the Operations Research course under the background of digital education.In response to the characteristics of the course and the needs of the student group,the teaching design is reconstructed with a student-centered approach,increasing practical teaching links,improving the assessment and evaluation system,and effectively implementing it in conjunction with digital educational technology.This teaching model has shown significant effectiveness in the context of digital education,providing valuable experience and insights for the innovation of the Operations Research course.

Artificial intelligence (AI) has garnered significant interest within the educational domain over the past decade, promising to revolutionise teaching and learning. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of systematic reviews conducted from 2010 to 2023 on the implementation of AI in K-12 education. By synthesising findings from ten selected systematic reviews, this study explores the multifaceted opportunities and challenges posed by AI in education. The analysis reveals several key findings: AI’s potential to personalise learning, enhance student motivation, and improve teaching efficiency are highlighted as major strengths. However, the study also identifies critical concerns, including teacher resistance, high implementation costs, ethical considerations, and the need for extensive teacher training. These findings represent the most significant insights from the analysis, while additional findings further underscore the complexity and scope of AI integration in educational settings. The study employs a SWOT analysis to summarise these insights, identifying key areas for future research and policy development. This review aims to guide educators, policymakers, and researchers in effectively leveraging AI to enhance educational outcomes while addressing its inherent challenges.

However, many individuals including originators and backers of AI have recently expressed grave concerns. In this paper, the authors will assess what is occurring with AI in Visual Arts Education, outline positives and negatives, and provide recommendations addressed specifically for teachers working in the field regarding emerging AI usage from kindergarten to grade twelve levels as well as in higher education.

The impacts of the current digital era are growing more and more on the way in which higher education(HE)offers learning programs at every level.Smart learning(SL)represents the evolution of educational approaches and techniques that capitalizes on all the opportunities deriving from new digital ecosystems.This study argues that the usefulness of HE can benefit from rethinking the traditional active learning(AL)model to smart ones.Thus,this research aims at investigating how to adapt the performance evaluation when the operations of HE turn to digitalized models.Therefore,this paper designs a research approach that allows accounting for the effects that the adoption of some SL strategies and tools has on the engagement of students and the aggregate performance of HE programs that adopt AL.The results of this study would help academics and HE managers assess the effectiveness of SL initiatives they plan to adopt.

Delivering substance use prevention interventions for adolescents in educational settings:A scoping review

Currently,a proportion of adolescents use alcohol,tobacco,and illicit drugs,which inevitably harms their health and academic progress.Adolescence is a peak period for substance use initiation and a critical time for preventing substance use problems.Various entities,such as families,schools,and communities,have implemented a variety of interventions to alleviate adolescent substance use problems,and schools play a unique role.To explore the types,characteristics,and effectiveness of substance use interventions in educational settings for adolescents,we conducted a scoping review and identified 32 studies after screening.We divided the 32 studies according to intervention type,including curriculum interventions focusing on cognitive-behavioral skill enhancement,exercise interventions,peer interventions and family-school cooperation,and electronic interventions.Except for the mixed results on electronic interventions,the results showed that the other interventions were beneficial to different extents in alleviating adolescent substance use problems.In addition,we analyzed and summarized the advantages and challenges of intervening in adolescent substance use in educational settings.Schools can use equipment and human resources to provide adolescents with various types of intervention measures,but they also face challenges such as stigmatization,ineffective coordination among multiple resources,and poor implementation effects.In the future,school-based intervention measures can fully utilize big data and artificial intelligence technology and collaborate with families and communities to intervene appropriately while paying attention to the comorbidity risks of substance use disorders and psychological health issues.

The Challenges of Microelectronics for the Future Digital Society: The Roles of Thin Film Technologies and of the Higher Education

The new digital society is based on Internet of Things (IoT) and related connected objects are becoming more prevalent around the world. This evolution implies innovation in many areas of technology, the heart of which is microelectronics. Connected objects involve many technological components and functions that are directly dependent of the microelectronics capabilities. If the perspectives are exciting, several challenges are appearing. The first is related to the energy consumption of all these objects, which will become enormous by 2030, and unrealistic by 2040. The second is human resources concern. The future engineers and PhD will have many obstacles to overcome. A way to face these challenges is to involve more and more new thin film technologies that must be combined with VLSI ones, and to better train students to this domain with enough know-how and with a large spectrum of knowledge suitable for multidisciplinary applications. The French national network for Higher Education in microelectronics has adopted this strategy. After presentation of the challenges, this paper deals with the innovative activities of the French network focused on thin film technologies, in order to face the challenges in a short future.
