This paper summarizes the important progress in the field of oil and gas production engineering during the"Thirteenth Five-Year Plan"period of China,analyzes the challenges faced by the current oil and gas p...This paper summarizes the important progress in the field of oil and gas production engineering during the"Thirteenth Five-Year Plan"period of China,analyzes the challenges faced by the current oil and gas production engineering in terms of technological adaptability,digital construction,energy-saving and emission reduction,and points out the future development direction.During the"Thirteenth Five-Year Plan"period,series of important progresses have been made in five major technologies,including separated-layer injection,artificial lift,reservoir stimulation,gas well de-watering,and workover,which provide key technical support for continuous potential tapping of mature oilfields and profitable production of new oilfields.Under the current complex international political and economic situation,oil and gas production engineering is facing severe challenges in three aspects:technical difficulty increases in oil and gas production,insignificant improvements in digital transformation,and lack of core technical support for energy-saving and emission reduction.This paper establishes three major strategic directions and implementation paths,including oil stabilization and gas enhancement,digital transformation,and green and low-carbon development.Five key research areas are listed including fine separated-layer injection technology,high efficiency artificial lift technology,fine reservoir stimulation technology,long term gas well de-watering technology and intelligent workover technology,so as to provide engineering technical support for the transformation,upgrading and high-quality development of China’s oil and gas industry.展开更多
This study aims to find out the relevance of marketing strategies for gas stations in China.According to IBISWorld,the companies holding the largest market shares in China’s gas station industry include China Petroch...This study aims to find out the relevance of marketing strategies for gas stations in China.According to IBISWorld,the companies holding the largest market shares in China’s gas station industry include China Petrochemical Corporation,China National Petroleum Corporation,Sinochem Corporation,China National Offshore Oil Corporation,and BP(China)Holdings Limited.Marketing has changed over the past several years.Similarly,gas station marketing is all about more customers,greater sales,and higher profits.Technology provides many different marketing tools to see more fresh faces at the door,increase repeat sales,and improve profits.Word-of-mouth advertising should be encouraged,especially when contests are being held.The prizes from these contests may include car essentials,free coffee,free car wash,or coupons to be used at convenience stores.Customers who have won these contests would surely go around advertising the particular gas station,ultimately bringing in more customers.Other than that,managers can boost the sales volume through radio promotions as well.This study also aims to give future businessmen and women some ideas on how to deal with different kinds of strategies when it comes to marketing,especially in China in hope to cater and prove to the people of China the possibility of promoting businesses,such as the oil industry.展开更多
We analyze how artificial intelligence changes a significant part of the energy sector,the oil and gas industry.We focus on the upstream segment as the most capital-intensive part of oil and gas and the segment of eno...We analyze how artificial intelligence changes a significant part of the energy sector,the oil and gas industry.We focus on the upstream segment as the most capital-intensive part of oil and gas and the segment of enormous uncertainties to tackle.Basing on the analysis of AI application possibilities and the review of existing applica-tions,we outline the most recent trends in developing AI-based tools and identify their effects on accelerating and de-risking processes in the industry.We investigate AI approaches and algorithms,as well as the role and availability of data in the segment.Further,we discuss the main non-technical challenges that prevent the in-tensive application of artificial intelligence in the oil and gas industry,related to data,people,and new forms of collaboration.We also outline three possible scenarios of how artificial intelligence will develop in the oil and gas industry and how it may change it in the future(in 5,10,and 20 years).展开更多
The hydrocarbon industry is considering a range of digital technologies to improve productivity,efficiency,and safety of their operations while minimizing capital and operating costs,health and environmental risks,and...The hydrocarbon industry is considering a range of digital technologies to improve productivity,efficiency,and safety of their operations while minimizing capital and operating costs,health and environmental risks,and variability in oil and gas project life cycles.Due to the emergence of industry 4.0 the improvement in performance,efficiency,and cost reduction,the hydrocarbon industry is gradually shifting towards solutions that are data-oriented.Understanding such complex systems involves the analysis of data from various sources at the same time.Digital Twin(DT)modelling is the foundation for the next generation of real-time production monitoring and optimization systems.It is a solution that boosts productivity by combining information,simulation,and visualization throughout the entire value chain of an operational firm,from subsurface equipment to central production plants.Oil and gas companies can majorly benefit from Hydrocarbon Exploration with the right use of such advanced technologies.This study focuses on the advancements in technology in the context of DT and how it has been used by the hydrocarbon industry.The study discusses about the emergence of the DT concept,various types,5D representation,and tools for DT.Further,the study tries to implement fields of DT in hydrocarbon industry especially in the domains of exploration,drilling,and production.Challenges associated with DT strategy like accessibility,confidentiality integration,and maintenance are also discussed.展开更多
