Many striped migmatites are distributed around the plutonic rocks in the core of hot dome in nature. This shows that the pressure of intrusive rocks to wall rocks must play an important role in the formation of stripes. This paper, at first, discusses the effects of directional pressure (i. e. compressive stress from intrusive rock to wall rock) on particle migration and crystallization, and the physical mechanism of Ostwald maturation and its adjusting effect in crystalline growth. And then, on the basic principles of physics and chemistry, we lay down the stochastic evolutional rules of the formation of crystal nucleus, diffusion, crystallization and dissolution of leucosome (melt) particles; and, neglecting other restrictive conditions, we build an idealizedly simplified two-dimensional model of stochastic cellular automaton for the recrystallization of metamorphic rock under directional pressure, and realize it by writing a program of Windows on PC. Theoretical analyses and computer simulations show that, at the beginning, the free particles of leucosome are initially even distributed in the system and form many crystal nucleus ; then, the anisotropies of diffusion, crystallization and dissolution caused by the directional pressure together with the mechanisms of Ostwald maturation can make the nucleus successively grow to form lenses, unevenly disconnected stripes, and layer-stripe structure, which correspond to low, medium and high grades of metamorphism and migmatization, respectively; that is, the effect of the pressure of intrusive rock to wall rock alone can form streaked structure in migmatite. Moreover, cellular automaton, adopted in this paper, is a kind of discrete and local grid dynamic model, and is extremely suitable for simulating the evolution of spatiotemporal structure of real systems and analyzing micro-mechanism creating complex macro-phenomenon. We believe that cellular automata will have broad applications in the geosciences which is full of complicated natural phenomena. 展开更多

A set of compressed natural gas (CNG) multi-point direct injection system of spark-ignited engines and the corresponding measurement and data acquisition systems were developed in this paper. Based on different injection modes, the mixture formation and combustion of CNG low-pressure direct injection (LPDI) engines were studied under varying factors such as air/ fuel ratio, injection timing. Meanwhile, three-dimensional simulations were adopted to explain the mixture formation mechanisms of CNG low-pressure compound direct injection (LPCDI) mode. On the basis of test results and simulation of the mixture homogeneous degree, the conception of injection window was proposed, and the LPCDI mode was proved to be more beneficial to the mixture concentration stratification formation in cylinder under lean-burning conditions, which resulted in effective combustion and stability. 展开更多

With the universal test machine and temperature test chamber, the effect of pressure and temperature on the behavior of 1-3 and 1-3-2 piezocomposites prepared with PZT/epoxy in our lab has been investigated through electrical impedance and dielectric analysis. The permittivity, resonant frequency and dielectric loss of the composites have been measured under vertical stress and temperature, and the variety of the material properties under pressure and temperature could also be obtained. The pressure and temperature stability of the composites have been assessed through experiments. The data of these two types of composites indicated that the stability of 1-342 composite with pressure was better than that of 1-3 composite, and two composites have almost the same dielectric stability with temperature. However, 1-3-2 composite showed slower frequency variation than 1-3 composite. 展开更多

Gas holdup is one of the key parameters in flotation process. Gas holdup as measured by a differential pressure method was investigated and the relative errors compared to the average gas holdup from the volume expansion method. The errors were used to establish optimum measurement positions. The results show that the measurement position should be in the middle of the column and in the region half way from the center to the wall (the half-radius). The gas holdup along the axial direction is lower at the bottom and higher at the top of the floatation column. The gas holdup along the radial direction is lower near the wall and higher near the center of the flotation column. The average gas holdup measure- ment can be replaced by regional gas holdup values. 展开更多

Using natural gas(NG)as the primary fuel helps alleviate the fossil fuel crisis while reducing engine soot and nitrogen oxide(NO_(X))emissions.In this paper, the influences of a novel split injection concept on an NG high pressure direct injection(HPDI)engine are examined.Four typical split injection strategies, namely split pre-injection of pilot diesel(PD)and NG,split post-injection of PD and NG,split pre-injection of NG,and split post-injection of PD,were developed to investigate the influences on combustion and emissions. Results revealed that split pre injection of NG enhanced the atomization of PD,whereas the split post-injection of NG lowered the temperature in the core region of the PD spray, resulting in the deterioration of combustion. The effect of the split injection strategy on indicated thermal efficiency exceeded 7.5%.Split pre-injection was favorable to enhancing thermal efficiency, whereas split post-injection was not.Ignition delay, combustion duration, and premixed combustion time proportion were affected by injection strategies by 3.8%,50%,and 19.7%,respectively.Split pre-injection increased CH_(4) emission in the exhaust.Split post-injection,especially split post-injection of PD and NG,reduced the unburned CH_(4) emission by approximately 30%.When the split post-injection ratio was less than 30%,the trade-off between NO_(X) and soot was interrupted. The distribution range of hydroxyl radicals was expanded by pre-injection,and NO_(X) was generated in the region where the NG jet hit the wall. This paper provides valuable insights into the optimization of HPDI injection parameters. 展开更多

A direct numerical simulation (DNS) on an oblique shock wave with an incident angle of 33.2° impinging on a Mach 2.25 supersonic turbulent boundary layer is performed. The numerical results are confirmed to be of high accuracy by comparison with the reference data. Particular efforts have been made on the investigation of the near-wall behaviors in the interaction region, where the pressure gradient is so significant that a certain separation zone emerges. It is found that, the traditional linear and loga- rithmic laws, which describe the mean-velocity profiles in the viscous and meso sublayers, respectively, cease to be valid in the neighborhood of the interaction region, and two new laws of the wall are proposed by elevating the pressure gradient to the leading order. The new laws are inspired by the analysis on the incompressible separation flows, while the compressibility is additionally taken into account. It is verified by the DNS results that the new laws are adequate to reproduce the mean-velocity profiles both inside and outside the interaction region. Moreover, the normalization adopted in the new laws is able to regularize the Reynolds stress into an almost universal distribution even with a salient adverse pressure gradient (APG). 展开更多
