The horizontal-longitudinal correlation of acoustic field for the receiver near the bottom is analyzed by using nu- merical modeling. An approximate analytical solution of horizontal-longitudinal correlation coefficient is derived based on the ray method. Combining the characteristic of Lloyd's mirror interference pattern, the variability of acoustic field and its effect on horizontal-longitudinal spatial correlation are discussed. The theoretical pre- diction agrees well with the numerical results. Experimental results confirm the validity of analytical solution. Finally, the applicability of the analytical solution is summarized. The conclusion is beneficial for the design of bottom-moored array and the estimation of integral time for moving source localization. 展开更多

For the detection and tracking of dim point targets with SNR 〈 2 dB, the combined SPRT and FSS method is given to accomplish detection in whicb likelihood testing are carried out twice to prune constantly. Firstly, the SPRT is developed aiming at the heuristic segments formed by correlation analysis. In order to avoid missing detection the threshold is chosen much lower. Secondly, by adding samples and choosing the one most similar to the heuristic segment to make state estimation FSS is implemented. This time we choose a higher threshold. Moreover in preprocessing the compound kernel estimation is designed to depress varying background clutter. Multiple experimental sequences validate that the method is more suitable for the dim targets detection and tracking compared with the scheme choosing the higher intensity pixel in tracking. It not only has perfect detection performance but also can greatly enhance tracking performance. 展开更多

A theoretical model of ambient sea noise including surface noise sources and stratified medium ocean is discussed. The noise sources are assumed to be statistically independent directional point sources distributed over the ocean surface, and the effects of ocean environment on ambient noise are studied. The normal-mode theory of surface-generated noise is developed, and the normal-mode formula of the directional density function suitable for small grazing angles is analytically continued for being suitable for great grazing angles and consistent with the ray formula. The unified formulae for calculating the intensities, spatial correlation and vertical directivity of ambient sea noise are presented. 展开更多

Aims As one of the most important agents driving floral evolution,pollinators shape the diversity of flowers in angiosperms.However,most previous studies have only quantified pollinators driving the evolution of a single floral trait,and experimental estimates of the potential role of pollinators in shaping the evolution of floral trait associations are relatively rare.Methods We experimentally identified and estimated the pollinator-mediated directional and correlational selection on single floral traits and trait combinations across 2 years in an orchid species,Spiranthes sinensis.Important Findings Pollinators mediated directional selection for an earlier flowering start date and larger corolla size.Pollinators mediated positive correlational selection on the combinations of floral display traits and negative correlational selection on the combinations of flowering phenology and floral display traits.In addition,the strength of selection differed over time.Our results highlight the potential role of pollinators in driving the evolution of floral trait combinations and suggest that it is necessary to consider floral character functional associations when seeking to understand and predict the evolutionary trajectory of flowers in angiosperms. 展开更多
