Aiming at the tracking problem of a class of discrete nonaffine nonlinear multi-input multi-output(MIMO) repetitive systems subjected to separable and nonseparable disturbances, a novel data-driven iterative learning control(ILC) scheme based on the zeroing neural networks(ZNNs) is proposed. First, the equivalent dynamic linearization data model is obtained by means of dynamic linearization technology, which exists theoretically in the iteration domain. Then, the iterative extended state observer(IESO) is developed to estimate the disturbance and the coupling between systems, and the decoupled dynamic linearization model is obtained for the purpose of controller synthesis. To solve the zero-seeking tracking problem with inherent tolerance of noise,an ILC based on noise-tolerant modified ZNN is proposed. The strict assumptions imposed on the initialization conditions of each iteration in the existing ILC methods can be absolutely removed with our method. In addition, theoretical analysis indicates that the modified ZNN can converge to the exact solution of the zero-seeking tracking problem. Finally, a generalized example and an application-oriented example are presented to verify the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed process. 展开更多

Making use of linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach, a time-delay-dependent criterion for a discrete system with multi-time-delay to satisfy H ∞ performance indices is induced, and then a strategy for H ∞ state feedback control with delay values for plant with multi-time-delay is obtained. By solving corresponding LMI, a delay-dependent state feedback controller satisfying H ∞ performance indices is designed. It is shown that the resulting closed loop system is globally stable with guaranteed H∞ performance and the controller can be obtained by solving a set of bilinear matrix inequalities. It has been shown that piecewise quadratic Lyapunov functions are less conservative than the global quadratic Lyapunov functions. Formulations and numerical example of a rigid- flexible-body three pendulums system moving in space are given to validate the method. Using the new method to study the dynamics of multi-rigid-flexible-body system mov- ing in space, the global dynamics equations of system are not needed, the orders of involved matrices of the system are very low and the computational speed is high, irrespec- tive of the size of the system. Wi-Fi devices have limited battery life because of which conserving battery life is imperative. The 802.11 Wi-Fi standard provides power management feature that allows stations(STAs) to enter into sleep state to preserve energy without any frame losses. After the STA wakes up, it sends a null data or PS-Poll frame to retrieve frame(s) buffered by the access point(AP), if any during its sleep period. An attacker can launch a power save denial of service(PS-DoS) attack on the sleeping STA(s) by transmitting a spoofed null data or PS-Poll frame(s) to retrieve the buffered frame(s) of the sleeping STA(s) from the AP causing frame losses for the targeted STA(s). Current approaches to prevent or detect the PS-DoS attack require encryption,change in protocol or installation of proprietary hardware. These solutions suffer from expensive setup, maintenance, scalability and deployment issues. The PS-DoS attack does not differ in semantics or statistics under normal and attack circumstances.So signature and anomaly based intrusion detection system(IDS) are unfit to detect the PS-DoS attack. In this paper we propose a timed IDS based on real time discrete event system(RTDES) for detecting PS-DoS attack. The proposed DES based IDS overcomes the drawbacks of existing systems and detects the PS-DoS attack with high accuracy and detection rate. The correctness of the RTDES based IDS is proved by experimenting all possible attack scenarios. 展开更多

Further an equivalent single dimensional characteristic equation is formed from the two dimensional characteristic equation then the stability formulation in the left half of Z-plane, where the roots of characteristic equation f(Z) = 0 should lie within the shifted unit circle. The coefficient of the unit shifted characteristic equation is suitably arranged in the form of matrix and the inner determinants are evaluated using proposed Jury’s concept. The proposed stability technique is simple and direct. It reduces the computational cost. An illustrative example shows the applicability of the proposed scheme. 展开更多

This article,we develop an optimal policy to control the service rate of a discrete time queueing-inventory system with finite buffer.The customers arrive according to a Bernoulli process and the service time for the customers are geometric.Whenever the buffer size attains its maximum,any arriving new customers are considered to be lost.The customers are served one by one according to FCFS rule and each customers request random number of items.The inventory is replenished according to a(s,Q)inventory policy with geometric lead time.The main objectives of this article are to determine the service rates to be employed at each slot so that the long run expected cost rate is minimized for fixed inventory level and fixed buffer size and to minimize the expected waiting time for a fixed inventory level and fixed buffer size.The problems are modelled as Markov decision problem.We establish the existence of a stationary policy and employ linear programming method to find the optimal service rates.We provide some numerical examples to illustrate the behaviour of the model. 展开更多

This article aims to address the global exponential synchronization problem for fractional-order complex dynamical networks(FCDNs)with derivative couplings and impulse effects via designing an appropriate feedback control based on discrete time state observations.In contrast to the existing works on integer-order derivative couplings,fractional derivative couplings are introduced into FCDNs.First,a useful lemma with respect to the relationship between the discrete time observations term and a continuous term is developed.Second,by utilizing an inequality technique and auxiliary functions,the rigorous global exponential synchronization analysis is given and synchronization criterions are achieved in terms of linear matrix inequalities(LMIs).Finally,two examples are provided to illustrate the correctness of the obtained results. 展开更多

This paper presents a discrete-time attitude control strategy with equi-global practical stabilizability for aligning the attitude of multiple spacecraft to a predesigned configuration according to a time-variant reference.By utilizing the interference of the wireless channel,the communication scheme designed in this paper can save communication resources,amount of computation,and energy proportionally to the number of spacecraft.The exact discrete-time model and approximate discrete-time model of the consensus-based spacecraft tracking system are given.Then the framework for the design of an event-triggered control scheme for the exact discrete-time system via its approximate models is developed,which avoids the periodic actuation,and Zeno behavior is proved to be excluded.Furthermore,the control scheme can handle the presence of the unknown fading channel.Finally,simulation results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the control strategy. 展开更多

Recent advances in intelligent transportation system allow traffic safety studies to extend from historic data-based analyses to real-time applications. The study presents a new method to predict crash likelihood with traffic data collected by discrete loop detectors as well as the web-crawl weather data. Matched case-control method and support vector machines (SVMs) technique were employed to identify the risk status. The adaptive synthetic over-sampling technique was applied to solve the imbalanced dataset issues. Random forest technique was applied to select the contributing factors and avoid the over-fitting issues. The results indicate that the SVMs classifier could successfully classify 76.32% of the crashes on the test dataset and 87.52% of the crashes on the overall dataset, which were relatively satisfactory compared with the results of the previous studies. Compared with the SVMs classifier without the data, the SVMs classifier with the web-crawl weather data increased the crash prediction accuracy by 1.32% and decreased the false alarm rate by 1.72%, showing the potential value of the massive web weather data. Mean impact value method was employed to evaluate the variable effects, and the results are identical with the results of most of previous studies. The emerging technique based on the discrete traffic data and web weather data proves to be more applicable on real- time safety management on freeways. 展开更多
