Effect of Health Management in Raising Awareness Rate of Disease Prevention and Treatment in Patients with Prehypertension

Objective: To analyze the effect of health management on improving the awareness rate of disease prevention and treatment in patients with prehypertension, so as to provide guidance for clinical management of patients with prehypertension. Methods: 108 patients diagnosed with prehypertension in our hospital were divided into a control group and an experimental group. The control group was not given management measures, while the experimental group was given health management. The incidence of hypertension and cognition level of hypertension knowledge were compared between the two groups after management. Results: The incidence of hypertension in the experimental group was 7.41% lower than that in the control group 29.63%. The cognitive level of hypertension in the patients (66.54 ± 1.25) was significantly higher than that in the patients without health management (41.45 ± 2.45), and P < 0.05;Conclusion: For patients with prehypertension, the implementation of health management is helpful to improve their cognition of hypertension, master related prevention knowledge, and reduce the incidence of hypertension.

Effect of Dietary Resistant Starch on Prevention and Treatment of Obesity-related Diseases and Its Possible Mechanisms

Overweight or obesity has become a serious public health problem in the world, scientists are concentrating their efforts on exploring novel ways to treat obesity. Nowadays, the availabilities of bariatric surgery and pharmacotherapy have enhanced obesity treatment, but it should has support from diet, physical exercise and lifestyle modification, especially the functional food. Resistant starch, an indigestible starch, has been studied for years for its beneficial effects on regulating blood glucose level and lipid metabolism. The aim of this review is to summarize the effect of resistant starch on weight loss and the possible mechanisms. According to numerous previous studies it could be concluded that resistant starch can reduce fat accumulation, enhance insulin sensitivity, regulate blood glucose level and lipid metabolism. Recent investigations have focused on the possible associations between resistant starch and incretins as well as gut microbiota. Resistant starch seems to be a promising dietary fiber for the prevention or treatment of obesity and its related diseases.

Changing Grains for the Prevention and Treatment of Kashin-Beck Disease in Children: a Meta-analysis

To evaluate the efficacy of changing grains on the prevention and treatment of Kashin-Beck Disease （KBD） in children, community-based trials were acquired from seven electronic databases （up to July 2014）. As a result, the methodological quality of the six trials that have been included into our analysis was low. The pooled ORs favoring the prevention and treatment effects of changing grains were 0.15 （95% CI： 0.03-0.70） and 2.13 （95% CI： 1.44-3.16） respectively by meta-analysis. Subgroup analysis demonstrated the pooled OR favoring treatment effect of exchanging grains rather than drying grains both compared with endemic grains. The results showed that changing grains had obvious effects on the prevention and treatment of KBD in children. However, the evidences were limited by the potential biases and confounders. Large and well-designed trials are still needed.

This paper deals mainly with etiology, pathology, sympotomatology, harmfulness, preventive measures and treatment of larval mycosis (caused by Lagenidium sp. ) and of ciliate disease (caused by Zoothamnium sp. ) of penaeid shrimp larvae.

Characteristics of 240 randomized controlled trials for adjusting constitution in preventive treatment of disease:A bibliometric analysis

Background:A growing number of randomized controlled trials(RCTs)have explored the significance of adjusting constitution for preventive treatment of disease in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).In this study,we sought to comprehensively analyze the characteristics of these RCTs.Methods:All RCTs related to constitutional adjustment and preventive treatment of disease were included in the study.Literature was screened searching seven databases,including Pubmed,Web of Science,Embase,SinoMed,CNKI,Chongqing VIP,and Wangfang Database,from inception to December 2018.Data pertaining to bibliometrics,participants,and interventions were extracted and analyzed.Results:Two hundred and forty papers were published between 2007 and 2018,involving 240 RCTs with 55977 total participants.Sample size in these RCTs ranged from 30 to 7800.Among them,59 RCTs addressed disease prevention prior to onset involving 11 healthy states of participants,mainly for general health or sub-health population(40.68%)using health care and non-drug therapy.In control the development of existing disease(n Z 174),59 diseases were involved.Based on the number of RCTs and sample sizes,diseases including type 2 diabetes mellitus,primary hypertension,nonalcoholic fatty liver disease,and hyperlipoproteinemia accounted for 51.15%of the total patients studied.Drug therapy as an intervention was frequently used.In preventing recurrence after recovery(n Z 7),over 4 kinds of health status in participants were involved.Drug therapy combined with health care was mostly used.Most RCTs reported positive outcomes,with only one reporting negative findings(1/240).Conclusion:The number of RCTs of constitutional adjustment on preventive treatment of disease has gradually increased since 2012.Participants and intervention measures from the above-mentioned types of RCTs exhibit their own characteristics.Future systematic reviews or meta-analyses on constitutional adjustment for preventive treatment of disease are warranted.

Discussion on Relationship Between Meridians and Viscera of Decreased Ovarian Reserve from the Perspective of"Preventive Treatment of Disease"by Acupuncture

Based on extensive historical data,clinical experience,and modern scientific research,we discuss the relationship between meridians and viscera of decreased ovarian reserve(OR)from the perspective of"preventive treatment of disease"by acupuncture.It is believed that the endogenous protection mechanism of acupuncture in"preventive treatment of disease"lies in harmonizing Yin and Yang and dredging meridians;stimulating righteousness and rejecting the evil outside;preventing disease;co-cultivating body and spirit,and regulating emotions.The incidence ofOR dysfunction is closely related to the uterus-related meridians and viscera.The mechanism of acupuncture treatment of OR dysfunction may be related to reproductive endocrine hormone levels,ovarian tissue morphology,immune system,granulosa cell apoptosis,and related signal transduction pathways.The clinical effect of acupuncture treatment of diminished OR is reflected in improving menstruation and ovulation;improving OR function,promoting pregnancy;improving local ovarian microenvironment;improving negative emotions,improving quality of life,and thus affecting pregnancy outcomes.This article summarizes the mechanism of action and clinical effect of acupuncture in the treatment of decreased OR function based on recent findings,analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of acupuncture in the treatment of disease,and provides the rationale for the clinical application of acupuncture in the treatment of decreased OR function.

Reflections on Human Longevity and Chinese Medicine Prevention and Treatment of Chronic Diseases

Life Expectancy Study International geriatric life science community, including medical and scientific communities, currently considers human life expectancy to be about 120 years. This is in congruence with recordings from ＂Hong Fan-Book of Documents （Shang Shu Hong Fan）＂, and is also in general agreement with teachings from ＂Longevity-Yellow Emperor＇s Canon of Internal Medicine （Huang Di Nei Jing ~ Tian Nian）＂ where it is said ＇a man is to die at age of a hundred years＇ meaning ＇passing away after living a hundred years＇. Recently there is a report of people dying at the age of 150 years in England, I am afraid this is misinformed.

Current Status and Prospect of Prevention and Treatment of Oral Diseases by Integrative Medicine

To carry out integrative medical prevention and treatment of oral diseases, based on the inheritance and development of traditional medicine as well as the application of modern scientific, technique and medical theory, is of great significance in oral health maintenance. 目的 了解上海市公共卫生技术服务机构传染病防治检测技术服务能力现状,为进一步提升传染病防治检测技术服务行业总体能级水平提出建议,为相关政策和措施制定提供科学依据。方法 2020年4—6月,对上海市开展公共卫生技术服务的社会机构和市区两级疾病预防控制机构开展问卷调查,收集2019年度开展传染病防治检测技术服务的业务量和市场供需,以及截至2020年6月在6大类40项传染病防治检测技术服务细分领域能力参数的储备情况。结果 被调查机构2019年全年共提供31 763次传染病防治领域检测技术服务。社会委托性质技术服务为主要需求方,出具社会委托性质报告占报告总数的78.3% (24 859份),社会机构为该领域检测技术服务的主要提供方,出具报告占报告总数的73.1%(23 207份)。截至2020年6月,能力储备率最高的是医疗机构环境卫生学监测项目(82.7%),最低的是消毒灭菌设备项目(11.5%)。疾病预防控制机构的传染病防治领域检测技术服务总体能力储备率(50.0%)高于社会机构(25.9%),在医疗器械及物品细菌学监测、消毒剂项目的能力储备率上疾病预防控制机构和社会机构存在差异(P<0.05)。环氧乙烷低温灭菌综合性能监测/化学监测能力参数尚为“零能力储备”。结论 上海市传染病防治领域检测技术服务市场已形成一定规模,检测技术服务能力储备已有一定基础,疾病预防控制机构总体能力储备高于社会机构。细分领域能力储备不均衡,部分能力欠缺有待提升。疾病预防控制机构和社会机构共同作为传染病防治领域检测技术服务提供方,发挥各自优势特点,依托质量控制中心平台,共同提升传染病防治领域检测技术服务能力水平,促进传染病防治领域检测技术服务行业发展。

Preventive online and offline health management intervention in polycystic ovary syndrome

BACKGROUND Polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS) is characterized by hyperandrogenism, hyperinsulinemia, ovarian polycystic changes, and irregular ovulation, often occurring in women of childbearing age for whom it can be a cause of infertility. Hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian axis dysregulation is important in the pathogenesis of PCOS and the associated chronic excess of sex hormones can lead to cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, diabetes, and malignancies such as endometrial cancer, and breast cancer. At present, most scholars agree that lifestyle interventions in conjunction with drug treatment can help PCOS patients achieve their goals of successful pregnancy and childbirth.AIM To investigate the clinical effect of an online and offline(O2O) preventive health management model on PCOS with kidney deficiency and phlegm dampness.METHODS A total of 82 patients with PCOS of the kidney deficiency and phlegm dampness type who were admitted to Beijing Luhe Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University from April 2019 to June 2020 were randomly divided into two groups. The treatment group was treated with oral Diane-35 for 3 mo and received preventive O2O medical health management for 6 mo(including eating and living, exercise, drug management). The control group was treated with oral Diane-35 for 3 mo and completed outpatient health education. The traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) syndrome score, acne score, hair score, sex hormone level and clinical effects were compared between the two groups before and after the intervention. RESULTS After treatment, the TCM syndrome score, acne score, and serum luteinizing hormone/follicle stimulating hormone level were significantly lower in the treatment group than in the control group(P < 0.05). After 3 mo of treatment, the TCM syndrome curative effect index in the treatment group was 97.30% compared to 54.05% in the control group(P < 0.05), whereas the total treatment effect in the treatment group was 91.89%, compared to 54.05% in the control group(P < 0.05).CONCLUSION An integrated therapeutic approach incorporating medication, TCM methods and social media is more effective than standard treatment for PCOS.
