A 1D multi-plate heat transfer model based on the temperature data of the separator measured using the thermograph in a power generation experiment was developed to evaluate the reaction surface temperature (Treact). In addition, to validate the proposed heat transfer model, Treact obtained from the model was compared with that from the 3D numerical simulation using CFD software COMSOL Multiphysics which solves the continuity equation, Brinkman equation, Maxwell-Stefan equation, Butler-Volmer equation as well as heat transfer equation. As a result, the temperature gap between the results obtained by 1D heat transfer model and those obtained by 3D numerical simulation is below approximately 0.5 K. The simulation results show the change in the molar concentration of O2 and H2O from the inlet to the outlet is more even with the increase in Tini due to the lower performance of O2 reduction reaction. The change in the current density from the inlet to the outlet is more even with the increase in Tini and the value of current density is smaller with the increase in Tini due to the increase in ohmic over-potential and concentration over-potential. It is revealed that the change in Treact from the inlet to the outlet is more even with the increase in Tini irrespective of heat transfer model. This is because the generated heat from the power generation is lower with the increase in Tini due to the lower performance of O2 reduction reaction.展开更多

The study uses the case study of a one-kilometer road system modelled on Anylogic version 8.8.4. Anylogic is a multi-paradigm simulation tool that supports three main simulation methodologies: discrete event simulation, agent-based modeling, and system dynamics modeling. The system is used to evaluate the implication of stochastic time-based vehicle variables on the general efficiency of road use. Road use efficiency as reflected in this model is based on the percentage of entry vehicles to exit the model within a one-hour simulation period. The study deduced that for the model under review, an increase in entry point time delay has a domineering influence on the efficiency of road use far beyond any other consideration. This study therefore presents a novel approach that leverages Discrete Events Simulation to facilitate efficient road management with a focus on optimum road use efficiency. The study also determined that the inclusion of appropriate random parameters to reflect road use activities at critical event points in a simulation can help in the effective representation of authentic traffic models. The Anylogic simulation software leverages the Classic DEVS and Parallel DEVS formalisms to achieve these objectives.展开更多

The factors controlling the spacing and morphological development of its deep thrust faults, as well as the formation mechanism of shallow normal faults, remain unclear. Meanwhile, the factors affecting the continuity of plane faults must be comprehensively discussed. Clarifying the development characteristics and deformation mechanisms of the Makran accretionary wedge is crucial to effectively guide the exploration of gas hydrate deposits in the area. This study aims to interpret seismic data to identify typical structures in the Makran accretionary wedge, including deep imbricate thrust faults, shallow and small normal faults, wedge-shaped piggyback basins, mud diapirs with fuzzy and disorderly characteristics of reflection, décollements with a northward tilt of 1° – 2°, and large seamounts. Physical simulation-based experiments are performed to comprehensively analyze the results of the plane, section, and slices of the wedge. Results reveal that the distances between and shapes of thrust faults in the deep parts of the Makran accretionary wedge are controlled by the bottom décollement. The uplift of the thrust fault-related folds and the upwelling of the mud diapirs primarily contribute to the formation of small normal faults in the shallow part of the area. The mud diapirs originate from plastic material at the bottom, while those that have developed in the area near the trench are larger. Seamounts and mud diapirs break the continuity of fault plane distribution.展开更多

文摘The particle composition and spatial distribution of landslide-induced dam bodies are critical geotechnical parameters for studying the hazards of dam-break floods. However, current research often neglects the influence of the initial particle composition and spatial distribution of the landslide on the particle composition and spatial distribution of the landslide dam. This study investigated the impact of initial particle size distribution, volume, and sliding length on the energy and velocity changes of characteristic particles during the sliding process and the spatial distribution of particle sizes in the landslide dam body.Numerical simulations and physical models were employed to examine the effects of sequential gradient arrangements(where particle sizes decrease from top to bottom)and four other different initial particle arrangements on the energy and velocity changes of particles and the spatial distribution of particle sizes in the dam body. The study reveals the characteristics of translational and rotational energy of different particles and the laws of mechanical energy conversion, obtaining the spatial distribution patterns of particle sizes in landslide-induced dams. The results show that under the sequential gradient arrangement, the energy dissipation of the landslide movement is lower, with larger particles mainly distributed at the distal end and smaller particles at the proximal end of the landslide dam.In contrast, under the reverse gradient arrangement, the energy dissipation of the landslide movement is higher, and the distribution pattern of the dam particles is opposite to that of the sequential gradient arrangement. For the other arrangement modes, the spatial distribution of dam particles falls between the aforementioned two. There is a positive correlation between particle size and translational kinetic energy within the particle flow during the landslide process, and rotational motion increases energy dissipation.Under constant slope conditions, sliding length does not affect the movement pattern of the particle flow or the spatial distribution of particles in the dam body. The findings of this study provide a scientific basis for the accurate simulation and prediction of dam-break flood processes.

文摘The Makran accretionary wedge has the smallest subduction angle among any accretionary prism in the world. Seamounts and mud diapirs break the continuity of fault plane distribution.

文摘The study of non-axisymmetric fuel dispersal and detonation can provide reference for the prevention of industrial cloud explosion accidents and the design of fuel air explosive(FAE).The concentration and detonation fields of 85 kg cylindrical and fan-shaped fuel are investigated by experiments and numerical simulations.A dynamic model of the whole process for fuel dispersal and detonation is built. The concentration distribution of fuel is used as the initial condition to calculate the detonation stage, thus solving the initial value problem of detonation field. The phase and component changes of fuel cloud at different locations are compared. The fuel cloud is divided into directions of 0°,90°,135°and 180°.The results show that the maximum cloud radius is 20.94 m in 135°and the minimum is 12.04 m in 0°.The diameter of the detonation fireball is 53.6 m,and the peak temperature is 3455 K.The highest peak overpressure is 3.44 MPa in 0°and the lowest is 2.97 MPa in 135°.The proportion of liquid phase in 0°is22.90%,and the fuel loss is 11.8% and 9% higher than that in 135°and cylindrical charge, respectively. The stable propagation distance of blast wave in 135°is 42.50% longer than 0°and 28.37% longer than cylindrical charge.

文摘An accurate mapping and understanding of remaining oil distribution is very important for water control and stabilize oil production of mature oilfields in ultra-high water-cut stage.Currently, the Tuo-21 Fault Block of the Shengtuo Oilfield has entered the stage of ultra-high water cut(97.2%).Poor adaptability of the well pattern, ineffective water injection cycle and low efficiency of engineering measures(such as workover,re-perforation and utilization of high-capacity pumps)are the significant problems in the ultra-high water-cut reservoir. In order to accurately describe the oil and water flow characteristics, relative permeability curves at high water injection multiple(injected pore volume)and a semiquantitative method is applied to perform fine reservoir simulation of the Sand group 3e7 in the Block. An accurate reservoir model is built and history matching is performed. The distribution characteristics of remaining oil in lateral and vertical directions are quantitatively simulated and analyzed. The results show that the numerical simulation considering relative permeability at high injection multiple can reflect truly the remaining oil distribution characteristics after water flooding in an ultrahigh water-cut stage. The distribution of remaining oil saturation can be mapped more accurately and quantitatively by using the‘four-points and five-types’classification method, providing a basis for potential tapping of various remaining oil types of oil reservoirs in late-stage of development with high water-cut.

文摘In the large-scale distributed hardware-in-the-loop radar simulation system based on HLA, a new solution of processing after acquisition is proposed, which separates the software subsystem from the hardware jammer subsystem by a response database, so as to settle the problem, that the software subsystem can not meet the real-time need of the hardware, with very little increment of code. And the data completeness and feasibility of this solution are discussed.
文摘The facies distribution of a reservoir is one of the biggest concerns for geologists, geophysicists, reservoir modelers, and reservoir engineers due to its high importance in the setting of any reliable decisionmaking/optimization of field development planning. The approach for parameterizing the facies distribution as a random variable comes naturally through using the probability fields.Since the prior probability fields of facies come either from a seismic inversion or from other sources of geologic information, they are not conditioned to the data observed from the cores extracted from the wells. This paper presents a regularized element-free Galerkin(R-EFG)method for conditioning facies probability fields to facies observation. The conditioned probability fields respect all the conditions of the probability theory(i.e.all the values are between 0 and 1,and the sum of all fields is a uniform field of 1).This property achieves by an optimization procedure under equality and inequality constraints with the gradient projection method. The conditioned probability fields are further used as the input in the adaptive pluri-Gaussian simulation(APS)methodology and coupled with the ensemble smoother with multiple data assimilation(ES-MDA)for estimation and uncertainty quantification of the facies distribution. The history-matching of the facies models shows a good estimation and uncertainty quantification of facies distribution,a good data match and prediction capabilities.
文摘In order to improve the efficiency of data distributed management service in distributed interactive simulation based on high level architecture (HLA) and to reduce the network traffic and save the system resource, the approaches of multicast grouping in HLA-based distributed interactive simulation are discussed. Then a new dynamic multicast grouping approach is proposed. This approach is based on the current publication and subscription region in the process of simulation. The results of simulation experiment show that this approach can significantly reduce the message overhead and use fewer multicast groups.

文摘Evapotranspiration(ET)is the key to the water cycle process and an important factor for studying near-surface water and heat balance.Accurately estimating ET is significant for hydrology,meteorology,ecology,agriculture,etc..This paper simulates ET in the Madu River Basin of Three Gorges Reservoir Area of China during 2009-2018 based on the Soil and Water Assessment Tool(SWAT)model, which was calibrated and validated using the MODIS(Moderate-resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer)/Terra Net ET 8-Day L4 Global 500 m SIN Grid(MOD16A2)dataset and measured ET.Two calibration strategies(lumped calibration(LC)and spatially distributed calibration(SDC))were used. The basin was divided into 34 sub-basins,and the coefficient of determination(R^(2))and NashSutcliffe efficiency coefficient(NSE)of each sub-basin were greater than 0.6 in both the calibration and validation periods. The R2 and NSE were higher in the validation period than those in the calibration period.Compared with the measured ET,the accuracy of the model on the daily scale is:R^(2)=0.704 and NSE=0.759(SDC results). The model simulation accuracy of LC and SDC for the sub-basin scale was R^(2)=0.857,R^(2)=0.862(monthly)and R^(2)=0.227,R^(2)=0.404(annually),respectively;for the whole basin scale was R^(2)=0.902,R^(2)=0.900(monthly)and R^(2)=0.507 and R^(2)=0.519(annually),respectively.The model performed acceptably, and SDC performed the best, indicating that remote sensing data can be used for SWAT model calibration.During 2009-2018,ET generally increased in the Madu River Basin(SDC results,7.21 mm/yr),with a multiyear average value of 734.37 mm/yr.The annual ET change rate for the sub-basin was relatively low upstream and downstream. The linear correlation analysis between ET and meteorological factors shows that on the monthly scale, precipitation, solar radiation and daily maximum and minimum temperature were significantly correlated with ET;annually, solar radiation and wind speed had a moderate correlation with ET.The correlation between maximum temperature and ET is best on the monthly scale(Pearson correlation coefficient R=0.945),which may means that the increasing ET originating from increasing temperature(global warming). However, the sub-basins near Shennongjia Nature Reserve that are in upstream have a negative ET change rate, which means that ET decreases in these sub-basins,indicating that the’Evaporation Paradox’exists in these sub-basins.This study explored the potential of remote-sensing-based ET data for hydrological model calibration and provides a decision-making reference for water resource management in the Madu River Basin.
