The main results are: 1) The average concentration of chiorine ions nuclei with dry diameters larger than 2 μm is 878 per litre and the average salt content is 105. 4μg/m3, in which special giant nuclei with dry diameters larger than 4 μm are 19O per litre. The largest dry diameter of chloride ions observed reaches 57 μm, which are larger than that observed there during the southwest summer monsoon. The spetrum type shows quasi-unimodal and exponential lapse. 2) The salt content decreases with the height over sea surface. 3) The concentrations of chlorine ions nuclei reach the maximum value at 0800 (Local time, same below ). and minimum at 0200.展开更多

The width of the isotopic distributions for lSN projectile is significantly broader than that for 17N projectile, and the average N/Z ratio of the former shifts to higher neutron number side. As long as the realistic nucleon density distribution is used, the isotopic distribution for fragments is reproduced by the simple abrasion-ablation model calculation, which thus provides an independent way to determine the surface distribution of the nuclear matter density for neutron-rich nuclei.展开更多

Expression of TR3 mRNA and its protein was detected by Northern blot a...AIM: To investigate the role of TR3 in induction of apoptosis in gastric cancer cells. METHODS: Human gastric cancer cell line, MGC80-3, was used. Expression of TR3 mRNA and its protein was detected by Northern blot and Western blot. Localization of TR3 protein was showed by immunofluorescence analysis under laser-scanning confocal microscope. Apoptotic morphology was observed by DAPI fluorescence staining, and apoptotic index was counted among 1000 cells randomly. Stable transfection assay was carried out by Lipofectamine. RESULTS: Treatment of MGC80-3 cells with TPA and VP-16 resulted in apoptosis, accompanied by the repression of Bcl-2 protein in a time-dependent manner. At the same time, TPA and VP-16 also up-regulated expression level of TR3 mRNA in MGC80-3 cells that expressed TR3 mRNA. When antisense-TR3 expression vector was transfected into the cells, expression of TR3 protein was repressed. In this case, TPA and VP-16 did not induce apoptosis. In addition, TPA and VP-16-induced apoptosis involved in translocation of TR3. In MGC80-3 cells, TR3 localized concentrative in nucleus, after treatment of cells with TPA and VP-16, TR3 translocated from nucleus to cytosol obviously. However, when this nuclear translocation was blocked by LMB, apoptosis was not occurred in MGC80-3 cells even in the presence of TPA and VP-16. CONCLUSION: Induction of apoptosis by TPA and VP-16 is through induction of TR3 expression and translocation of TR3 from nucleus to cytosol, which may be a novel signal pathway for TR3, and represent the new biological function of TR3 to exert its effect on apoptosis in gastric cancer cells.展开更多

However, the molecular mechanism by which the SCMC affects female fertility rema...We previously identified a subcortical maternal complex (SCMC) that is essential for early embryogenesis and female fertility in mice. However, the molecular mechanism by which the SCMC affects female fertility remains largely uncharacterized. Here, we report that a novel maternal protein, zinc finger BED-type containing 3 (Zbed3), participates in the SCMC. Depletion of maternal Zbed3 results in reduced fecundity of females, because of the impaired and delayed development in a proportion of mutant embryos. The loss of maternal Zbed3 results in asymmetric zygotic division and abnormal distributions of organeUes in the affected oocytes and zygotes, similar to the phenotypes observed in females with disrupted core SCMC genes. Further investiga- tion revealed that these phenotypes are associated with disrupted dynamics of microtubules and/or formation of cytoplasmic lat- tices (CPLs). The stability and localization of Zbed3 depend on, but are not required for, the formation of the SCMC. Thus, our data suggest Zbed3 as one of downstream proteins mediating SCMC functions and provide further insights into the roles of the SCMC and CPLs in female fertility.展开更多

The nearest neighbor spacing distribution (NSD) and the spectral rigidity (...We study the energy level statistics of the SO(5) limit of super-symmetry U(6/4) in odd-A nucleus using the interacting boson-fermion model. The nearest neighbor spacing distribution (NSD) and the spectral rigidity (△3)are investigated, and the factors that affect the properties of level statistics are also discussed. The results show that the boson number N is a dominant factor. If N is small, both the interaction strengths of subgroups SOB(5) and SOBF(5)and the spin play important roles in the energy level statistics, however, along with the increase of N, the statistics distribution would tend to be in Poisson form.展开更多

We find that because of the mass asymmetry of different entrance channels, the spin distributions of compound nuclei would be different, consequently, the measured neutrons in these two reactions would also different. The present studies show that the pathological features of lipid liver disease are anaemia and hepatic ceroidosis. Other clinical features are: the ratio of liver to body weight exceeds 3% and lipid content exceeds 5%. Extreme infiltration of hepaiocytes by lipid results in the following deteriorative effects: swelling of the liver cells, increase of lipid droplets in the cytoplasm and dislocation of the nucleus, loss of cytoplasm staining affinity, and increased activities of GOT and GPT in serum. Lipid liver degeneration of grass carp can be divided into three stages: 1) deposition of liver lipid; 2) lipid infiltration of hepatic parenchyma; 3) atrophy of liver nucleus. The causes of lipid liver degeneration are complicated, but the main cause is assumed to be an imbalance of nutrients in daily feed and the lack of some lipotropic substances.展开更多
