We perform systematic thermal conductivity measurements on heavily hole-doped Ba1-xKxFe2As2 single crystals with 0.747 ≤ x ≤ 0.974. At x=0.747, the K0/T is negligible, indicating a nodeless superconducting gap. A small residual linear term K0/T (=0.035 m W.K-2 cm-1) appears at xz0.826, and it increases slowly up to x=0.974, followed by a substantial increase of more than 20 times to of K0/T clearly shows that the nodal gap appears near x surface topology. The small values of K0/T from x=0.826 the pure KFe2As2 (x=1.0). This doping dependence = 0.8, possibly associated with the change of Fermi to 0.974 are consistent with the Y-shaped nodal s- wave gap recently revealed by angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy experiments at x=0.9. Furthermore, the substantial increase of K0/T from x=0.974 to 1.0 is inconsistent with a symmetry-imposed d-wave gap in KFe2 As2, and a possible nodal gap structure in KFe2As2 is discussed. 展开更多

The rational design of earth-abundant catalysts with excellent water splitting activities is important to obtain clean fuels for sustainable energy devices. In this study, mixed transition metal oxide nanoparticles encapsulated in nitrogendoped carbon (denoted as AB2O4@NC) were developed using a one-pot protocol, wherein a metal-organic complex was adopted as the precursor. As a proof of concept, MnCo2O4@NC was used as an electrocatalyst for water oxidation, and demonstrated an outstanding electrocatalytic activity with low overpotential to achieve a current density of 10 mA·cm^-1 0/10 = 287 mV), small Tafel slope (55 mV·dec^-1), and high stability (96% retention after 20 h). The excellent electrochemical performance benefited from the synergistic effects of the MnCo2O4 nanoparticles and nitrogen-doped carbon, as well as the assembled mesoporous nanowire structure. Finally, a highly stable all-solid-state supercapacitor based on MnCo2O4@NC was demonstrated (1.5% decay after 10,000 cycles). 展开更多

Developing efficient water-splitting electrocatalysts, particularly for the anodic oxygen evolution reaction (OER), is an important challenge in energy conversion technologies. In this study, we report the development of iron-doped nickel disulfide nanoarray on Ti mesh (Fe0.1-NiS2 NA/Ti) via the sulfidation of its nickel-iron-layered double hydroxide precursor (NiFe-LDH NAFFi). As a three-dimensional OER anode, Fe0.1NiS2 NA/Ti exhibits remarkable activity and stability in 1.0 M KOH, with the requirement of a low overpotential of 231 mV to achieve 100 mA·cm^-2. In addition, it exhibits excellent activity and durability in 30 wt.% KOH. Notably, this electrode is also efficient for the cathodic hydrogen evolution reaction under alkaline conditions. 展开更多
