The electrocarboxylation reaction is an attractive means to convert CO_(2) into valuable chemicals under ambient conditions,while it still suffers from low efficiency due to the high stability of CO_(2).In this work,w...The electrocarboxylation reaction is an attractive means to convert CO_(2) into valuable chemicals under ambient conditions,while it still suffers from low efficiency due to the high stability of CO_(2).In this work,we report a double activation strategy for simultaneously activating CO_(2) and acetophenone by silver-doped CeO_(2)(Ag-CeO_(2)) nanowires,featuring as an effective electrocatalyst for electrocarboxylation of acetophenone with CO_(2).Compared to the Ag foil,Ag nanoparticles and CeO_(2) nanowires,the Ag-CeO_(2)nanowire catalyst allowed to reduce the onset potential difference between CO_(2) and acetophenone activation,thus enabling efficient electrocarboxylation to form 2-phenyllactic acid.The Faradaic efficiency for producing 2-phenyllactic acid reached 91%at−1.8 V versus Ag/AgI.This double activation strategy of activating both CO_(2)and organic substrate molecules can benefit the catalyst design to improve activities and selectivities in upgrading CO_(2)fixation for higher-value electrocarboxylation.展开更多

Based on Cognitive Style Theory,Oxford’s Speaking Learning Theory and Communicative Competence Theory,this paper adopts questionnaire method,uses Sternberg’s Thinking Style Inventory modified by Zhang Lifang,as well...Based on Cognitive Style Theory,Oxford’s Speaking Learning Theory and Communicative Competence Theory,this paper adopts questionnaire method,uses Sternberg’s Thinking Style Inventory modified by Zhang Lifang,as well as Oxford’s Learning Strategies Scale,and combines with the actual situation of junior high school students’oral learning to design the questionnaire of speaking learning strategies.Eighth graders of a junior middle school in Sichuan Province are randomly selected as the research object.The statistical tool SPSS23.0 is used to conduct the descriptive analysis and Pearson correlation analysis of the questionnaire results to explore the overall situation of junior high school students’thinking styles and the use of English-speaking learning strategies as well as their correlation.According to the research,junior high school students generally tend to executive style,liberal style,conservative style,legislative style,hierarchic style.The use of speaking learning strategies is at an average level.They tend to use memory speaking strategies,social speaking strategies,affective speaking strategies,and cognitive speaking strategies.As a whole,there is a relatively significant correlation between thinking styles and speaking learning strategies.Specifically,there is a partial correlation between thinking styles and speaking learning strategies.展开更多
In order to improve some shortcomings of the standard particle swarm optimization algorithm, such as premature convergence and slow local search speed, a double population particle swarm optimization algorithm based o...In order to improve some shortcomings of the standard particle swarm optimization algorithm, such as premature convergence and slow local search speed, a double population particle swarm optimization algorithm based on Lorenz equation and dynamic self-adaptive strategy is proposed. Chaotic sequences produced by Lorenz equation are used to tune the acceleration coefficients for the balance between exploration and exploitation, the dynamic self-adaptive inertia weight factor is used to accelerate the converging speed, and the double population purposes to enhance convergence accuracy. The experiment was carried out with four multi-objective test functions compared with two classical multi-objective algorithms, non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm and multi-objective particle swarm optimization algorithm. The results show that the proposed algorithm has excellent performance with faster convergence rate and strong ability to jump out of local optimum, could use to solve many optimization problems.展开更多

Ammonium chloride is added to the ionic solution to reg...An OH^--slow-release strategy was established to controllably tune the( α-and β-) phase of nickel cobalt binary hydroxide in the presence of ammonium chloride. Ammonium chloride is added to the ionic solution to regulate the p H of the solution and slow down the release of OH^-, effectively regulating the phase, nanostructure, interlayer spacing, surface area, thickness, and the performance of binary Ni –Co hydroxide. The ion-slow-release mechanism is conducive to the formation of α-phase with larger interlayer spacing and thinner flakes rather than β-phase. Attributed to the enlarged interlayer spacing, thinner nanosheets, and more exposed active sites, the resultant α-phase hydroxides(NCNS-5.2), displayed much lower over potential of 285 mV with respect to the dense-stacked β-phase hydroxides(362 mV) for OER at 10 mA/cm^2. It also exhibited high specific capacitance of 1474.2 F/g, when tested at 0.5 A/g within a voltage range of 0–0.45 Vvs. Hg/Hg O. This composite was also stable for water oxidation reaction and supercapacitor. The proof-of-concept of using controlled-release agent may provide suggestive insights for the material innovation and a variety of applications.展开更多
