The algorithm was simplified when it was formulated. Especially, the simplification to matrix Hessian was very reluctant, which led to the loss of valuable information and affected performance of the algorithm to certain extent. For multi layer feed forward neural networks, the second order back propagation recursive algorithm based generalized cost criteria was proposed. It is proved that it is equivalent to Newton recursive algorithm and has a second order convergent rate. The performance and application prospect are analyzed. Lots of simulation experiments indicate that the calculation of the new algorithm is almost equivalent to the recursive least square multiple algorithm. The algorithm and selection of networks parameters are significant and the performance is more excellent than BP algorithm and the second order learning algorithm that was given by Karayiannis.展开更多

In order to solve the dimensional disaster problem, two BP neural network fitting value functions with the same network structure were used to replace the two Q value tables in Double Q-Learning algorithm to solve the problem that the Q value table cannot store excessive state information. By adding the mechanism of priority experience replay and using the parameter transfer to initialize the model parameters in different environments, it could accelerate the convergence rate of the algorithm, improve the learning efficiency and the generalization ability of the model. By designing specific action selection strategy in special environment, the deadlock state could be avoided and the mobile robot could reach the target point. Finally, the designed Double BP Q-learning algorithm was simulated and verified, and the probability of mobile robot reaching the target point in the parameter update process was compared with the Double Q-learning algorithm under the same condition of the planned path length. The results showed that the model trained by the improved Double BP Q-learning algorithm had a higher success rate in finding the optimal or sub-optimal path in the dense discrete environment, besides, it had stronger model generalization ability, fewer redundant sections, and could reach the target point without entering the deadlock zone in the special obstacles environment.展开更多

This paper proposes new criteria for appropriate hidden layer neuron unit’s determination and attempts a novel hybrid method in order to achieve enhanced wind speed forecasting. This paper proposes the following two main innovative contributions 1) both either over fitting or under fitting issues are avoided by means of the proposed new criteria based hidden layer neuron unit’s estimation. 2) ELMAN neural network is optimized through Modified Grey Wolf Optimizer (MGWO). The proposed hybrid method (ELMAN-MGWO) performance, effectiveness is confirmed by means of the comparison between Grey Wolf Optimizer (GWO), Adaptive Gbest-guided Gravitational Search Algorithm (GGSA), Artificial Bee Colony (ABC), Ant Colony Optimization (ACO), Cuckoo Search (CS), Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), Evolution Strategy (ES), Genetic Algorithm (GA) algorithms, meanwhile proposed new criteria effectiveness and precise are verified comparison with other existing selection criteria. Three real-time wind data sets are utilized in order to analysis the performance of the proposed approach. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed hybrid method (ELMAN-MGWO) achieve the mean square error AVG ± STD of 4.1379e-11 ± 1.0567e-15, 6.3073e-11 ± 3.5708e-15 and 7.5840e-11 ± 1.1613e-14 respectively for evaluation on three real-time data sets.
