Providing humans with security and safety for their belongings and items is an important need. A smart lock door project/ with different types of methods for entry, like fingerprint and authentication PIN code is suggested with an unnoticeable face tracking camera capturing a photo in case of error data entry. It is to be controlled via the user’s smartphone using Blynk with the implementation of IoT. This technology is made with two microcontrollers. ESP32 is used to control the solenoid lock, fingerprint sensor and keypad. ESP32-CAM is used to capture a photo and send it to the owner’s smartphone to be viewed on Telegram application. Many conclusions are extracted from system results, as well as suggested ideas for future work.展开更多

Based on analytic and simulation models, our study investigates how base station (BS) and ad hoc...This paper investigates a mobile telecommunications system that supports both ad hoc and infrastructure mode operations. Based on analytic and simulation models, our study investigates how base station (BS) and ad hoc channel capacity, and the mobility and locality of mobile stations affect the performance of a dual mode system. We show that a dual mode system can significantly outperform a single mode (infrastructure) system when the degree of locality is high. Furthermore, a dual mode system can support much faster mobile users with less BS channels in comparison to an infrastructure mode system. Our study quantitatively identifies the threshold value for the number of ad hoc channels such that beyond this threshold, increasing ad hoc channel capacity will not improve the performance of a dual mode system. This paper presents a planar microstrip wideband dual mode Band-Pass Filter(BPF) from 2 GHz to 3.4 GHz with a notched band at 2.62 GHz.The dual mode band-pass filter consists of a ring resonator with two quarter-wavel...This paper presents a planar microstrip wideband dual mode Band-Pass Filter(BPF) from 2 GHz to 3.4 GHz with a notched band at 2.62 GHz.The dual mode band-pass filter consists of a ring resonator with two quarter-wavelength open-circuited stubs at =90o and =0o,respectively.A square perturbation stub has been put at the corner of the ring resonator to increase the narrow stopbands and improve the performance of selectivity.By using a parallel-coupled feed line,a narrow notched band is introduced at the required frequency and its Fractional BandWidth(FBW) is about 5%.The proposed filter has a narrow notched band and a wide pass-band with a sharp cutoff frequency characteristic,the attenuation rate for the sharp cutoff frequency responses is 297.17 dB/GHz(cal-culated from 1.959 GHz with-34.43 dB to 2.065 GHz with-2.93 dB) and 228.10 dB/GHz(calculated from 3.395 GHz with-2.873 dB to 3.507 GHz with-28.42 dB).This filter has the advantages of good insertion loss in both operating bands and two rejections of greater than 16 dB in the range of 1.59 GHz to 1.99 GHz and 3.49 GHz to 3.98 GHz.Having been presented in this article,the measurement results agree well with the simulation results,which validates our idea.展开更多

The description of the corresponding device, designed for transport refrigerator ship, is shown as well as its location on board. Value of energy saving from the use of contra propeller is estimated. The results of the assessment required power to move the ship at low speed by the action of the contra propeller operating in the reactive mode are demonstrated. It is shown, that the ship equipped with the proposed device will get the additional class notation related to the redundancy or duplication of the propulsion system of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.展开更多

Control strategy incorporates with aspect of Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) and output voltage levels regulation. A theoretical analysis is conducted to evaluate the effect of ripple current on PV power. Proposed dual mode converter achieves efficiency of 98.36% and 97.76% respectively for mode-1 and mode-2 operation. However, simulation is performed applying MATLAB/SIMULINK tools to analyze the feasibility of the recommended system.展开更多

Compared with other unisexual and polyploid speci...A unisexual species is generally associated with polyploidy, and reproduced by a unisexual reproduction mode, such as gyno- genesis, hybridogenesis or parthenogenesis. Compared with other unisexual and polyploid species, gibel carp (Carassius au- ratus gibelio) has a higher ploidy level of hexaploid. It has undergone several successive rounds of genome polyploidy, and experienced an additional, more recent genome duplication event. More significantly, the dual reproduction modes, including gynogenesis and sexual reproduction, have been demonstrated to coexist in the polyploid gibel carp. This article reviews the genetic basis concerning polyploidy origin, clonal diversity and dual reproduction modes, and outlines the progress in new va- riety breeding and gene identification involved in the reproduction and early development. The data suggests that gibel carp are under an evolutionary trajectory of diploidization. As a novel evolutionary developmental (Evo-Devo) biology model, this work highlights future perspectives about the functional divergence of duplicated genes and the sexual origin of vertebrate animals.展开更多
A series of new monobactam sulfonates is continuously synthesized and evaluated for their antimicrobial efficacies against Gram-negative bacteria.Compound 33a(IMBZ18G)is highly effective in vitro and in vivo against c...A series of new monobactam sulfonates is continuously synthesized and evaluated for their antimicrobial efficacies against Gram-negative bacteria.Compound 33a(IMBZ18G)is highly effective in vitro and in vivo against clinically intractable multi-drug-resistant(MDR)Gram-negative strains,with a highly druglike nature.The checkerboard assay reveals its significant synergistic effect withβ-lactamase inhibitor avibactam,and the MIC values against MDR enterobacteria were reduced up to 4—512folds.X-ray co-crystal and chemoproteomic assays indicate that the anti-MDR bacteria effect of 33a results from the dual inhibition of the common PBP3 and some class A and Cβ-lactamases.Accordingly,preclinical studies of 33a alone and 33a-avibactam combination as potential innovative candidates are actively going on,in the treatment ofβ-lactamase-producing MDR Gram-negative bacterial infections.展开更多

Study of the law of annual runoff evolution in a river basin is of great significance to quantitative analysis of the water resources condition in varied environment and prediction of the law of the water resources evolution in the future because year-based time span may best reflect the law of the water resources evolution driven by the nature and human activities in the river basin. This paper advances the theory of annual runoff evolution under natural-artificial dual mode based on the dual mode of the water resources evolution, and the theory is applied for the Wuding River Basin on the middle Yellow River as a case study. A thorough analysis of the precipitation-runoff relationship is made in the case of dynamic variation of ground surface conditions of the Wuding River basin, and the concept of water-soil conservation index area that indicates adoption of various measures for water and soil conservation to reflect ground surface conditions. Furthermore, precipitation-runoff empirical model is developed to reflect dynamic variation of the ground surface conditions of the river basin. The study may lay a solid foundation for the integrated theoretical platform of the law of the water resources evolution in the Yellow River basin and the dual model of the evolution.展开更多
A two-dimensional Reynolds averaged Navier Stokes(RANS)simulation of a dual mode ramjet(DMRJ)combustor is performed,modeling the University of Michigan dual-mode combustor experimental setup operating in reacting mode...A two-dimensional Reynolds averaged Navier Stokes(RANS)simulation of a dual mode ramjet(DMRJ)combustor is performed,modeling the University of Michigan dual-mode combustor experimental setup operating in reacting mode with different equivalence ratios(4).The simulations are carried out using a k-u SST turbulence model and a steady diffusion flamelet model for non-premixed combustion.Air enters the isolator at Mach 2.2,stagnation pressure and temperature of 549.2 kPa and 1400 K respectively.Hydrogen is injected transverse to the flow direction and upstream of the cavity flame holder to simulate ramjet(4 Z 0.29)and scramjet(4 Z 0.19)modes of operation.Wall static pressure plots are used to validate numerical results against experimental data.Analysis of flow separation in ramjet mode due to the presence of a shock train in the isolator is carried out by means of numerical Schlieren images overlapped with contours of negative axial velocity,showing the effects of shock wave boundary layer interaction(SWBLI).Active control through wall normal boundary layer bleed in the separated flow region is implemented,which weakens the shock train and moves it downstream closer to the cavity.Bleed results in an improved stagnation pressure recovery in ramjet mode,with a marginal increase in combustion efficiency.展开更多
Microgrids(μ-grids)are gaining increased interest around the world for supplying cheap and clean energy.In this paper,aμ-grid comprising a wind turbine generator(WTG)and diesel generator(DG)is considered.It is one o...Microgrids(μ-grids)are gaining increased interest around the world for supplying cheap and clean energy.In this paper,aμ-grid comprising a wind turbine generator(WTG)and diesel generator(DG)is considered.It is one of most practical and demanding systems suitable for the present energy crisis in isolated or rural areas.However,wind energy is intermittent in nature while load demand changes frequently.Therefore,aμ-grid can experience large frequency and power fluctuations.The speed governor of the DG tries to minimize the frequency and power deviations inμ-grid though its operation is slow and cannot adequately minimize system deviations.The paper proposes a novel arrangement based on a dual structured fuzzy(DSF)whose structure changes according to the switching limit with a reduced rule base.It has the capability to switch between proportional and integral actions and hence improves the frequency regularization of theμ-grid.The proposed strategy is tested in aμ-grid and the results considering step load alteration,load alteration at different instants of time,nonstop changing load request are compared with some of the well published methods to validate the effectiveness and simplicity of the present design.In addition,it shows that ultra-capacitor establishment in aμ-grid has a positive impact in minimizing system deviations with DSF for the studied cases.展开更多
Parkinson’s disease(PD)is characterized by a progressive degeneration of nigrostriatal dopaminergic neurons.The precise mechanisms are still unknown.Since the neuronal communications are inherently electrical and che...Parkinson’s disease(PD)is characterized by a progressive degeneration of nigrostriatal dopaminergic neurons.The precise mechanisms are still unknown.Since the neuronal communications are inherently electrical and chemical in nature,dual-mode detection of PD-related neuroelectrical and neurochemical information is essential for PD research.Subthalamic nucleus(STN)highfrequency stimulation(HFS)can improve most symptoms of PD patients and decrease the dosage of antiparkinsonian drugs.The mechanism of STN-HFS for PD still remains elusive.In this study,a silicon-based dual-mode microelectrode array(MEA)probe was designed and fabricated,and systematic dual-mode detection methods were established.The recording sites were modified using Pt nanoparticles and Nafion to improve the signal-to-noise(SNR)ratio.To evaluate its applicability to PD research,in vivo electrophysiological and electrochemical detection was performed in normal and hemiparkinsonian models,respectively.Through comparison of the dual-mode signals,we demonstrated the following in a PD monkey:(1)the maximum dopamine concentration in the striatum decreased by 90%;(2)the spike firing frequency increased significantly,especially in the region of the cortex;(3)the spectrogram analysis showed that much power existed in the 0–10 Hz frequency band;and(4)following repeated subthalamic nucleus high-frequency stimulation trials,the level of DA in the striatum increased by 16.5μM,which led to a better elucidation of the mechanism of HFS.The dual-mode MEA probe was demonstrated to be an effective tool for the study of neurological disorders.展开更多
Purpose Streak camera is an important device for bunch length measurement.The errors introduced by streak camera should be considered in measurement.In order to accurately measure bunch length,some streak camera calib...Purpose Streak camera is an important device for bunch length measurement.The errors introduced by streak camera should be considered in measurement.In order to accurately measure bunch length,some streak camera calibrations are studied at BEPC II.Methods In this context,the point spread function,caused by the optical system,is measured at focus mode with both deflec-tions disabled.In the same conditions,the influence of camera gain on measurement is studied.For the dual sweep mode of streak camera,a calibration method using electrical delays is applied to calibrate the beam size result.Results Firstly,a point spread function calibration 1.78 ps of streak camera optical system is obtained with focus mode.Secondly,studying the effect of camera gain on measurement,an optimal camera gain range from 506 to 662 is selected,in which the bunch length measurement error is within 0.5 ps.Thirdly,a dual sweep calibration factor 1.02 is obtained.Conclusions For BEPCII bunch length,there is a little difference before and after the streak camera calibrations.However,for the accurate measurement of ultra-short bunch length,the calibrations are of great significance.展开更多

文摘Microgrids(μ-grids)are gaining increased interest around the world for supplying cheap and clean energy.In this paper,aμ-grid comprising a wind turbine generator(WTG)and diesel generator(DG)is considered.It is one of most practical and demanding systems suitable for the present energy crisis in isolated or rural areas.However,wind energy is intermittent in nature while load demand changes frequently.Therefore,aμ-grid can experience large frequency and power fluctuations.The speed governor of the DG tries to minimize the frequency and power deviations inμ-grid though its operation is slow and cannot adequately minimize system deviations.The paper proposes a novel arrangement based on a dual structured fuzzy(DSF)whose structure changes according to the switching limit with a reduced rule base.It has the capability to switch between proportional and integral actions and hence improves the frequency regularization of theμ-grid.The proposed strategy is tested in aμ-grid and the results considering step load alteration,load alteration at different instants of time,nonstop changing load request are compared with some of the well published methods to validate the effectiveness and simplicity of the present design.In addition,it shows that ultra-capacitor establishment in aμ-grid has a positive impact in minimizing system deviations with DSF for the studied cases.

文摘Parkinson’s disease(PD)is characterized by a progressive degeneration of nigrostriatal dopaminergic neurons.The precise mechanisms are still unknown.Since the neuronal communications are inherently electrical and chemical in nature,dual-mode detection of PD-related neuroelectrical and neurochemical information is essential for PD research.Subthalamic nucleus(STN)highfrequency stimulation(HFS)can improve most symptoms of PD patients and decrease the dosage of antiparkinsonian drugs.The mechanism of STN-HFS for PD still remains elusive.In this study,a silicon-based dual-mode microelectrode array(MEA)probe was designed and fabricated,and systematic dual-mode detection methods were established.The recording sites were modified using Pt nanoparticles and Nafion to improve the signal-to-noise(SNR)ratio.To evaluate its applicability to PD research,in vivo electrophysiological and electrochemical detection was performed in normal and hemiparkinsonian models,respectively.Through comparison of the dual-mode signals,we demonstrated the following in a PD monkey:(1)the maximum dopamine concentration in the striatum decreased by 90%;(2)the spike firing frequency increased significantly,especially in the region of the cortex;(3)the spectrogram analysis showed that much power existed in the 0–10 Hz frequency band;and(4)following repeated subthalamic nucleus high-frequency stimulation trials,the level of DA in the striatum increased by 16.5μM,which led to a better elucidation of the mechanism of HFS.The dual-mode MEA probe was demonstrated to be an effective tool for the study of neurological disorders.
文摘Purpose Streak camera is an important device for bunch length measurement.The errors introduced by streak camera should be considered in measurement.In order to accurately measure bunch length,some streak camera calibrations are studied at BEPC II.Methods In this context,the point spread function,caused by the optical system,is measured at focus mode with both deflec-tions disabled.In the same conditions,the influence of camera gain on measurement is studied.For the dual sweep mode of streak camera,a calibration method using electrical delays is applied to calibrate the beam size result.Results Firstly,a point spread function calibration 1.78 ps of streak camera optical system is obtained with focus mode.Secondly,studying the effect of camera gain on measurement,an optimal camera gain range from 506 to 662 is selected,in which the bunch length measurement error is within 0.5 ps.Thirdly,a dual sweep calibration factor 1.02 is obtained.Conclusions For BEPCII bunch length,there is a little difference before and after the streak camera calibrations.However,for the accurate measurement of ultra-short bunch length,the calibrations are of great significance.
