Due to tribological interaction at elevated temperature between the die bearing and the surface of extruded aluminium profiles, not only the surface quality of the extruded product, but also the lifetime of the dies decreases. Deposition of TiBN hard films on the die bearing could improve the die performance. Treatment should be done in a duplex process process combining a plasma nitriding pretreatment (PN) and a plasma assisted chemical vapour deposition (PACVD) of TiBN. In this study the influence of the process conditions on the properties of the duplex coatings was investigated. The relationship between structure and mechanical property was researched. For testing these TIBN hard films under elevated temperature conditions and for comparison with other possible coatings special extrusion dies with different coated bearings were used. The extrusion trials were performed on the 8MN-extrusion press at the research a nd development center for extrusion, Technical University of Berlin.展开更多

The results show that the LDX 2101 exhibits poor thermoplasticity at high temperature. The four-pass hot-rolled plates show fewer edge-cracking defects and superior thermoplasticity compared with the two-pass hot-rolled plates prepared at different temperature. The phase boundary is the weakest site in the LDX 2101. The cracks are initiated and propagated along the phase boundaries during the hot-rolling process. According to the EBSD analysis, the increase of the hot-rolling pass can dramatically improve the strain distribution in ferrite and austenite phases and promote the strain transmission in the constituent phases, thereby improving the coordinated deformation ability of the two phases. This effect further in- creases the thermoplasticity and reduces the formation of edge cracks in LDX 2101.展开更多

Here, for the uplink, in order to unit management of the optical line terminal (OLT) and reduce cost, the optical source functioned as the optical subcarrier at optical network units (ONUs) is from OLT in the central station. Moreover, there is an external cavity laser (ECL) with center frequency of 193.2 THz not only employed as optical modulated signal but also acted as LO signal. Our simulation results show that bit error ratio (BER) under hardware detection forward error correction has been successfully gained after 20 km of SSMF transmission. It is observed that the receiver sensitivity of multilevel PSK (M-PSK) is obviously larger than that of the M-QAM in this measurement scheme.展开更多
