System Identification becomes very crucial in the field of nonlinear and dynamic systems or practical systems.As most practical systems don’t have prior information about the system behaviour thus,mathematical modelling is required.The authors have proposed a stacked Bidirectional Long-Short Term Memory(Bi-LSTM)model to handle the problem of nonlinear dynamic system identification in this paper.The proposed model has the ability of faster learning and accurate modelling as it can be trained in both forward and backward directions.The main advantage of Bi-LSTM over other algorithms is that it processes inputs in two ways:one from the past to the future,and the other from the future to the past.In this proposed model a backward-running Long-Short Term Memory(LSTM)can store information from the future along with application of two hidden states together allows for storing information from the past and future at any moment in time.The proposed model is tested with a recorded speech signal to prove its superiority with the performance being evaluated through Mean Square Error(MSE)and Root Means Square Error(RMSE).The RMSE and MSE performances obtained by the proposed model are found to be 0.0218 and 0.0162 respectively for 500 Epochs.The comparison of results and further analysis illustrates that the proposed model achieves better performance over other models and can obtain higher prediction accuracy along with faster convergence speed. 展开更多

Extracting nonlinear governing equations from noisy data is a central challenge in the analysis of complicated nonlinear behaviors.Despite researchers follow the sparse identification nonlinear dynamics algorithm(SINDy)rule to restore nonlinear equations,there also exist obstacles.One is the excessive dependence on empirical parameters,which increases the difficulty of data pre-processing.Another one is the coexistence of multiple coefficient vectors,which causes the optimal solution to be drowned in multiple solutions.The third one is the composition of basic function,which is exclusively applicable to specific equations.In this article,a local sparse screening identification algorithm(LSSI)is proposed to identify nonlinear systems.First,we present the k-neighbor parameter to replace all empirical parameters in data filtering.Second,we combine the mean error screening method with the SINDy algorithm to select the optimal one from multiple solutions.Third,the time variable t is introduced to expand the scope of the SINDy algorithm.Finally,the LSSI algorithm is applied to recover a classic ODE and a bi-stable energy harvester system.The results show that the new algorithm improves the ability of noise immunity and optimal parameters identification provides a desired foundation for nonlinear analyses. 展开更多

The problem of linear time-varying(LTV) system modal analysis is considered based on time-dependent state space representations, as classical modal analysis of linear time-invariant systems and current LTV system modal analysis under the "frozen-time" assumption are not able to determine the dynamic stability of LTV systems. Time-dependent state space representations of LTV systems are first introduced, and the corresponding modal analysis theories are subsequently presented via a stabilitypreserving state transformation. The time-varying modes of LTV systems are extended in terms of uniqueness, and are further interpreted to determine the system's stability. An extended modal identification is proposed to estimate the time-varying modes, consisting of the estimation of the state transition matrix via a subspace-based method and the extraction of the time-varying modes by the QR decomposition. The proposed approach is numerically validated by three numerical cases, and is experimentally validated by a coupled moving-mass simply supported beam exper- imental case. The proposed approach is capable of accurately estimating the time-varying modes, and provides anew way to determine the dynamic stability of LTV systems by using the estimated time-varying modes. 展开更多

This paper develops a feedforward neural network based input output model for a general unknown nonlinear dynamic system identification when only the inputs and outputs are accessible observations. In the developed model, the size of the input space is directly related to the system order. By monitoring the identification error characteristic curve, we are able to determine the system order and subsequently an appropriate network structure for systems identification. Simulation results are promising and show that generic nonlinear systems can be identified, different cases of the same system can also be discriminated by our model. 展开更多

Output-only structural identification is developed by a refined Frequency Domain Decomposition(rFDD) approach, towards assessing current modal properties of heavy-damped buildings(in terms of identification challenge), under strong ground motions. Structural responses from earthquake excitations are taken as input signals for the identification algorithm. A new dedicated computational procedure, based on coupled Chebyshev Type Ⅱ bandpass filters, is outlined for the effective estimation of natural frequencies, mode shapes and modal damping ratios. The identification technique is also coupled with a Gabor Wavelet Transform, resulting in an effective and self-contained time-frequency analysis framework. Simulated response signals generated by shear-type frames(with variable structural features) are used as a necessary validation condition. In this context use is made of a complete set of seismic records taken from the FEMA P695 database, i.e. all 44 "Far-Field"(22 NS, 22 WE) earthquake signals. The modal estimates are statistically compared to their target values, proving the accuracy of the developed algorithm in providing prompt and accurate estimates of all current strong ground motion modal parameters. At this stage, such analysis tool may be employed for convenient application in the realm of Earthquake Engineering, towards potential Structural Health Monitoring and damage detection purposes. 展开更多

Identification method for helicopter flight dynamics modeling with rotor degrees of freedom 被引量:4

A comprehensive method based on system identification theory for helicopter flight dynamics modeling with rotor degrees of freedom is developed. A fully parameterized rotor flapping equation for identification purpose is derived without using any theoretical model, so the confidence of the identified model is increased, and then the 6 degrees of freedom rigid body model is extended to 9 degrees of freedom high-order model. Bode sensitivity function is derived to increase the accuracy of frequency spectra calculation which influences the accuracy of model parameter identification. Then a frequency domain identification algorithm is established. Acceleration technique is developed furthermore to increase calculation efficiency, and the total identification time is reduced by more than 50% using this technique. A comprehensive two-step method is established for helicopter high-order flight dynamics model identification which increases the numerical stability of model identification compared with single step algorithm. Application of the developed method to identify the flight dynamics model of BO 105 helicopter based on flight test data is implemented. A comparative study between the high-order model and rigid body model is performed at last. The results show that the developed method can be used for helicopter high-order flight dynamics model identification with high accuracy as well as efficiency, and the advantage of identified high-order model is very obvious compared with low-order model. 展开更多

Multi-output Gaussian processes and their aptitude for modelling the dynamic system of an underactuated AUV without losing the relationships between tied outputs are used. The simulation of a first-principle model of a Remus 100 AUV is employed to capture data for the training and validation of the multi-output Gaussian processes. The metric and required procedure to carry out multi-output Gaussian processes for AUV with 6 degrees of freedom(DoF) is also shown in this paper. Multi-output Gaussian processes compared with the popular technique of recurrent neural network show that multi-output Gaussian processes manage to surpass RNN for non-parametric dynamic system identification in underwater vehicles with highly coupled DoF with the added benefit of providing the measurement of confidence. 展开更多

Although traditional position-controlled industrial robots can be competent for most assembly tasks,they cannot complete complex tasks that frequently interact with the external environment.The current research on exoskeleton robots also has problems such as excessive inertia of exoskeleton robots,poor system integration and difficult human–computer interaction control.To solve these problems,this paper independently develops a tendon driving robotic system composed of a tendon driving robotic arm and an upper limb exoskeleton,and studies its control technology.First,the robot system is selected,configured,and constructed.Second,the kinematics of the robot is analyzed,and then the dynamics are studied,and the parameter identification experiment of single degree of freedom is completed.Finally,the research on zero-force control and impedance control of the robot has effectively improved the robot’s human–machine integration ability,ensured the flexibility and compliance in the process of human–computer interaction.The compliant control problem expands the usage scenarios and application scope of robots and contributes to the realization of complex operations of this group of robots in unstructured environments. 展开更多

Soil erosion has become a significant environmental problem that threatens eco- systems globally. The risks posed by soil erosion, the trends in the spatial distribution in soil erosion, and the status, intensity, and conservation priority level in the middle reaches of the Yellow River Basin were identified from 1978 to 2010. This study employed a multi-criteria evaluation method integrated with GIS and multi-source remote sensing data including land use, slope gradient and vegetation fractional coverage (VFC). The erosion status in the study region improved from 1978 to 2010; areas of extremely severe, more severe, and severe soil erosion decreased from 0.05%, 0.94%, and 11.25% in 1978 to 0.04%, 0.81%, and 10.28% in 1998, respectively, and to 0.03%, 0.59%, and 6.87% in 2010, respectively. Compared to the period from 1978 to 1998, the area classed as improvement grade erosion increased by about 47,210.18 km2 from 1998 to 2010, while the area classed as deterioration grade ero- sion decreased by about 17,738.29 km2. Almost all severe erosion regions fall in the 1st and 2rid conservation priority levels, which areas accounted for 3.86% and 1.11% of the study area in the two periods, respectively. This study identified regions where soil erosion control is required and the results provide a reference for policymakers to implement soil conservation measures in the future. 展开更多
