The dimension and structure of valves and cylinders were designed by theoretical calculation. The dynamic simulation model of hydraulic system of AT was established by ITI-SimulationX. Simulation results and theoretical design results were compared to confirm the simulation model. Based on the confirmed simulation model, the simulation results of pressure and flow of the hydraulic system were analyzed. The dynamic simulation method is very helpful for designing and analyzing the performance of hydraulic system and further optimization design. The theoretical design method and dynamic simulation model are feasible for the real industrial applications. The research results can be used in hydraulic system design and optimization.展开更多
This paper presents a methodology for automatically generating risk scenarios for dynamic reliability applications in which some dynamic characteristics(e.g.,the order,timing and magnitude of events,the value of relev...This paper presents a methodology for automatically generating risk scenarios for dynamic reliability applications in which some dynamic characteristics(e.g.,the order,timing and magnitude of events,the value of relevant process parameters and initial conditions) have a significant influence on the evolution of the system.The main idea of the methodology is:(i) making the system model "express itself" through simulation by having the model driven by an elaborated simulation engine;(ii) exploiting uniform design to pick out a small subset of representative design points from the space of relevant dynamic characteristics;(iii) for each selected design point,employing a depth-first systematic exploration strategy to cover all possible scenario branches at each branch point.A highly dynamic example adapted from the literature(a chemical batch reactor) is studied to test the effectiveness of the proposed methodology.展开更多

The construction of this platform is based on the user pro...In this paper, a hybrid automatic optimization strategy is proposed for the design of underwater robot lines. Isight is introduced as an integration platform. The construction of this platform is based on the user programming and several commercial software including UG6.0, GAMBIT2.4.6 and FLUENT12.0. An intelligent parameter optimization method, the particle swarm optimization, is incorporated into the platform. To verify the strategy proposed, a simulation is conducted on the underwater robot model 5470, which originates from the DTRC SUBOFF project. With the automatic optimization platform, the minimal resistance is taken as the optimization goal;the wet surface area as the constraint condition; the length of the fore-body, maximum body radius and after-body's minimum radius as the design variables. With the CFD calculation, the RANS equations and the standard turbulence model are used for direct numerical simulation. By analyses of the simulation results, it is concluded that the platform is of high efficiency and feasibility. Through the platform, a variety of schemes for the design of the lines are generated and the optimal solution is achieved. The combination of the intelligent optimization algorithm and the numerical simulation ensures a global optimal solution and improves the efficiency of the searching solutions.展开更多
The application of a novel Automatic Dynamic Simulator of Fouling (ADSF) to evaluate the effectiveness of ion-rod water treater is reported.The effects of some parameters of the water treater were studied with an ADSF...The application of a novel Automatic Dynamic Simulator of Fouling (ADSF) to evaluate the effectiveness of ion-rod water treater is reported.The effects of some parameters of the water treater were studied with an ADSF made according to patented technology, and orthogonal experimental design was adopted with the use of artificial hard water.Experimental results validated that the ion-rod water treater could mitigate fouling,and the anti-fouling efficiency varies with the test conditions.The anti-fouling efficiency of treater increased with the increase of flow velocity in the range of 0.8—1.2 m·s -1 and output voltage in the range of 7500—15000 V.The efficiency weat up initially, and then went down with the increase in hardness.The rough surface of ion-rod was superior to the smooth one.The order of influence on treater performance with respect to these factors was as follows: water hardness, roughness of surface, flow velocity and output voltage.The research also provided a guide to improving the performance of ion-rod water treater.展开更多
